A NC Welcome

I understand your national headquarters is moving to the great state of NC. The ceremony is July 16. I will be there to bringing remarks. I look forward to meeting any GC folks in attendance.

Professor,

As a "home grown" NC gal, y'all are making me homesick! I was teasing 1browngirl some time ago about her sitting on the steps of the building! Just take lots of pictures and have fun. I won't be able to come home during that time, but next trip up, I'm planning to go to Cary and see the building (provided I can get through that nasty I-440 traffic!).

CrimsonTide4 06-23-2005 08:44 AM

WOW!!

Congratulations to the women of Sigma Gamma Rho!

Actually, you can go right down to the place on US 1 in the plaza by where Winn Dixie was - you know, across from Target (as much as we go there when I come home, you'd think I know the name of it!). Also while you're there, please go into O'Briens and get me some of their onion rings. That's not too far from there as well.

Look man - don't make me take a plane just to come and get some bbq! And they have the best hush puppies!

Professor 06-23-2005 09:55 AM

LOL

NinjaPoodle 06-23-2005 12:43 PM

Professor 07-13-2005 02:17 PM

I look forward to meeting all the GC folk.

suntzu1963 07-17-2005 12:28 AM

Wow! What an incredible day. The women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. are to be commended for a wonderful and moving program during their HQ dedication ceremony. I am truly honored to have been apart of this historic day.

I met a few Greek Chatters too!

Professor - You are a wonderful speaker! I enjoyed meeting you and speaking with you briefly. I hope that we will meet again especially since we don't live too far away from one another.

BlueReign - I really enjoyed meeting you. Although we only spoke briefly as well, it was nice to put a "face to a screename". I am glad you found me lol. I hope you enjoyed yourself as much I enjoyed myself. I hope we'll get a chance to meet again soon.

SeriousSigma22 - It was also great to meet you as well. Although we really didn't get a chance to chat, I am happy to have met you. Hopefully we will meet again as well.

PearlRuby - It was great meeting you as well although briefly.

To anyone else I met, but forgot your screename - please charge it to my mind (which is exhausted after all the fun and memories from today lol) and not my heart.

Thank you again to the women of Sigma Gamma Rho in letting me share in your historic day! :D

1browngirl 07-17-2005 09:21 AM

Awww, I didn't get to meet any of my fellow GC's. But it was a wonderful dedication ceremony.

Maybe I'll get to meet GC sorors at Boule next year!

Finer Woman10-A-91 07-17-2005 01:05 PM

Did anyone take pictures?

I know it was a lovely event!

Sistergreek, I wanna see pictures too!:)

Professor 07-18-2005 09:04 AM

Again, I extend a heartfelt welcome to the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. - "Nothing Could Be Finer than to be in Carolina In the Morning." You had a wonderful dedication and I too am fortunate for the small part I played during this history making event.

I wish there was time to talk to my GC folk. Literally, I could only say hello to some before leaving for another event. Nonetheless, It was good to see faces as opposed to screen names.

SeriousSigma22 07-18-2005 06:35 PM

It was nice meeting everyone at the Leadership Conference and Dedication!

Serioussigma22:cool:

BlueReign 07-19-2005 12:18 AM

Oh it was such a pleasure to meet everyone!! It was good to finally match some names with some faces. Suntzu1963, thank you for your warm welcome and comments. Professor, you are such a wonderful speaker. I was dead tired that morning but running on pure adrenalin. LOL!

Sorors and friends, I enjoyed my trip so much and really I can see myself going there every week, if nothing but to just to sit and look at the building and enjoy the area of Cary, NC. :p

What a wonderful location for our new international headquarters.

ETA: My road buddy and roomate is crazy yall!

SeriousSigma22 07-20-2005 04:41 PM

Sorhors and Folks,

I did confess just check out the "I can't believe thread. . . .
