I does make me wonder how his "church" goers (mostly family) can afford to fly to these different events to protest... wonder who the backers are.

You know that old saying "A fool and his money are soon parted?" It's a whole lotta fools down there parting with their money, apparently.

It kills me that they are pulling Bible verses into the mix. :mad: This group has been a plague on my mind since I found out about them.

While their perversion of the Bible, and their hateful crusades really gall me... it is this protesting/celebrating at the funerals that really infurates me - harrassing a grieving family and community is beyond contemptable.

The Phelps' came to my college two years ago to protest a play our theatre department was putting on...and then they ended up protesting just about everything else our school does.
It was the first interaction I had with them and it was really pretty scary how crazy they were. :(

I wonder why they've never appeared in NY. They would do very well in New York City. Especially in Time Square with the naked Cowboy and other weird people.
