Diet Coke made with real Splenda
 

Have any of ya'll tried this yet? I did today and it rocks.

If you are a diet coke drinker, you will swear it is regular coke.

Saw it at the convienience store and am used to seeing the 20oz diet cokes with the different color tops; green for lime diet coke, yellow for lemmon diet coke; silver top for regualr diet coke. Today I saw the blue top and was all 'what the hell now?" Dont know why I decided to try it, but it rocked. They dont sell it in the grocery stores here yet.

I'm hooked.

That and the Diet Cherry-Vanilla Dr. Pepper have made my summer so happy! :D

I don't really like it...I guess I'm used to the chemical asperatame-y goodness of regular Diet Coke.

My three favorite products: Diet Cherry Coke, Diet Coke with Splenda, and Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Too bad none of these come in fountain :(

Oh yes! Unfortunately, everyone else around here seems to like it as much as I do so it's hard to find. And my hoarded supply is dwindling :(

I can usually only find the Diet Cherry-Vanilla DP at WalMart! Another one I like is the Diet Vanilla Coke...a bunch of us got hooked on that at a Pi Phi reunion last year. The cherry and lime are good too.

My husband came in yesterday with something called Coke Zero. So far I can't tell how it's different from the other diet Cokes.

I like the Diet Coke with splenda, but my sister get's horrible migraines after ingesting splenda. Just a warning!

Where is everyone getting these custom-made versions of Coke?

Diet Coke with Splenda and Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper are my two new vices! And this is coming from someone who hates diet sodas!

Lil' Hannah, I was so excited when I brought the Diet Coke with Splenda home because I thought my diabetic husband would love it. He didn't like it either. Said he preferred the aspartame flavored version because the splenda flavored version tasted *too much* like regular Coke! And here I thought that was the best thing about it! haha

I like it for a change, but it won't replace Diet Coke in my heart.

At any store, gas station... You have to buy them by the bottle or the can because none of them come in the fountain version - at least not yet.

This is not a good thing!

Regular Coke is gross. Aspartame all the way, kids.

I haven't had a real sugar soda (that wasn't cream soda or root beer) in years now, so I think I'm just used to the taste of aspartame. I was addicted to Diet Mountain Dew for years, but a while back when my roommate made me try her full-sugar version of Mountain Dew, I spit it out. How can people drink that?

But only in the south right?

It's funny how different people are. I'd rather go thirsty than have to try and choke down even 1 sip of Diet anything!

I don't know. I know I've bought Diet Cherry Coke in Vegas, but I haven't been up North in a while... Can get it in FL too (do you consider that the south ;) )

It was ok...I didn't think it tasted that much better than regular diet coke.

The ONLY way I like real Coke is mixed with Jack or rum...even then, I'm moving more towards just drinking Jack on the rocks.

I HATE SPLENDA!!! It makes things taste wayyyyyy too sweet. YUCK. I tried the new Diet Coke made with it but it was still terrible.

Give me regular Diet Coke any time please.

Or actually no soda at all, regular iced tea, no sugar, no lemon, and tons of ice. YUM! :D

DC with Splenda is disgusting. Period. Give me good old plain Diet Coke, no vanilla or cherry flavor. Just Diet Coke.

Although I do like the Sprite Zero and I like diet coke with lime. Diet coke with lime and SoCo is AMAZING!

Well, I know we still have C2 here on campus and in town at our stores. Maybe there wasn't such a demand where you live?

I'm currently drinking the Coke with Splenda because my doctor told me I had to cut back on my pop intake. I've never been able to drink diet sodas before because aspartame gives me massive headaches. I really wish Mountain Dew would be made with splenda. Although I really don't like Coke and Coke products that much, this stuff is okay.

Has anyone tried the Pepsi One, which I believe is also made with Splenda?

I am also horribly allergic to Splenda. It is in so many things and I was eating it and not knowing it. I did some research and it is made with chlorine, which I am highly sensitive to (I get headaches and nausea from walking by the outside of the pool on campus, or any cleaner with bleach in it).

Kind of sucks beause a lot of diet sodas are made with Splenda so I have to go without yummy things like Hansen's and other low sugar items. it is in freakin' everything, flavored creamers, orange juice, jams, etc.

very very nasty stuff...

I just tried it yesterday for the first time..was surprised at how much it tasted like real Coke. Hubby, who hates diet drinks, liked it.

It wasn't too bad, but I prefer the Diet Coke with Lime.


Have you all seen that Pepsi now has lime flavor?

It's in Wawa stores here. I'm tempted to try it. I'm a Diet Pepsi girl, but I'll try just about anything once.

It's not bad, it's just very sweet.

Oooooh, I'm with you. That stuff is naaaaaaaaaaaaasty. It leaves a weird, yucky aftertaste, too.

Oh, and my boyfriend (who will usually drink anything) didn't even like it. That's how bad it is.

Do you have any bad reactions to MSG too?

I think anything with Splenda has a funny taste, so I'm reluctant to try it. I hate Diet Coke and the only diet drink I can tolerate is Diet 7-Up. I think the non-diet Coke with lime is teh isht!!

I am drinking one as I type. I think it is alright, but not as great as I had expected. My favorite diet drink by far is Diet Sun Drop, but I am not sure they even sell that outside of the South. Anyone else know of it? It is the best.

Sun Drop is a store brand right? Do they sell it only at Kroger stores? I think I remember it being like Mt. Dew, but haven't had it in years!

I think that's Citrus Drop that is the Kroger brand. Both Sun Drop and Citrus Drop are Mt. Dew type drinks, though!

Diet Coke and Diet Rite are currently the only colas made with Splenda. Most are made with aspartame.

Aspartame is actually far more harmful according to the tests. It gives me the worst headaches, worse than my migraines.

The new Pepsi One is also made with Splenda according to a commercial I saw last night!

Diet Sunkist Lemonade has 5 calories in it, it's NOT made with Splenda, and it's the absolute BEST diet soda there is. Problem is, it's next to impossible to find. :(

The diabetic boyfriend loved diet coke with splenda-- said it tasted a lot like regular coke!

j/k about the rant... okay, a little kidding... just addicted to Sun Drop! And at 130 cals per 8oz serving... enough sugar to keep your dentist in business for a long long time ;)
