Unfortunately, Kevin Hill has been cancelled.

epchick 06-09-2005 06:01 PM

I'm sad to see that Joan of Arcadia and Jack&Bobby are cancelled. I dont know why the WB are getting rid of all those shows, its not like they have a "jam-packed" line up. Most shows are about ready to finish anyways.

BGKdLady 06-09-2005 06:04 PM

I'm so glad to see Medium and Numb3rs renewed! It's nice to have a new twist on the crime shows.

I agree. Those were my biggest upsets of the year- seeing them gone now that is. :(

Me too! Medium is just so great, and NUMB3RS makes me wish I was better at math every week. :P

chideltjen 06-09-2005 06:57 PM

They cancelled Joan? Did it end at a place it could? I just remember seeing an epi that they could have launched into a new season with... at least one more.

DeltAlum 06-09-2005 08:41 PM

Don't see NCIS on either list. Pretty sure it is renewed.

aggieAXO 06-09-2005 09:14 PM

I thought L&O Trial by Jury was doing well:confused:

I dont think it did, since they were fully expecting to have it picked up for another season. I remember seeing Amber Tamblyn on Regis & Kelly and that is where i first found out that Joan of Arcadia was cancelled.

I thought so too, but maybe Bebe Neuwirth is too expensive for the numbers they are getting.

I like it MUCH better than Criminal Intent!!

I feel bad about American Dreams, too, but I have the feeling that it had gone as far as it could. Still, one "wrap up" episode would be nice.

BTW, I get surveys from NBC fairly often. I'll be sure to mention this, if possible!

tunatartare 06-09-2005 11:29 PM

I can't believe they cancelled Jack & Bobby. My friends and I loved that show.

ZTABullwinkle 06-10-2005 11:38 AM

Blind Justice on ABC was also cancelled.

I love that show, just came on in the middle of the season and not given much of a chance.

Ditto, but I would always forget to watch it on Fridays.
L&O: CI probably has a decent following on Sunday nights.

emleepc 06-10-2005 12:29 PM

Judging Amy was a really good show too....
I'm gonna have to find some other things to watch now....

Jump on the L&O: SVU bandwagon...it's the reason I stopped watching Judging Amy.

Actually the reason the season ended the way it did was b/c CBS was trying to save the show. The fully set it up to try and build it up, but the problem was it was a Friday night show (which will matter less and less as DVR's become more and more of the norm), but they didn't advertise for anything. In early March they said they may cancel officially. It's just sad to see it go, especially after how it's been left. :(

cutiepatootie 06-11-2005 12:45 PM

I still like 8 simple rules even t hough John Ritter passed. I didnt see anything about 7th Heaven. West Wing i think will be their last season. they moved it from wenesday to Friday and we all know if a show is moved around and to FRIDAY of all days it is phasing out

AlphaFrog 06-11-2005 01:39 PM

Does anyone know the fate oif 7th Heaven caz it's definatly setting up the plot for another season....

ms_gwyn 06-11-2005 04:16 PM

I am still really upset about Joan of Arcadia....I loved this show.

:(

ASUADPi 06-11-2005 07:08 PM

Okay I'm totally psyched about Alias (who the hell is Vaughn now!!!!!), Charmed (hopefully season 8 will be better than 7 was), CSI (hello George Eads, great reason to be watching that show) and L&O:SVU (Christopher Meloni, another good reason to watch a show).

Now I'm torn with CSI: Miami for the simple reasons of Emily and Rory. I love Emily (her being a sister does help :D) but I'm stilled pissed that they killed Rory's character (Speedle) even though it happened almost a year ago.

As for ER. WTF!!!!! IMPO that show has gone downhill since Julianna, George and Anthony left the show. Now Noah has left. WHY THE HELL is it still on the air? Come on NBC the show is no longer number 1, heck I don't even think it is in the top 10 anymore (although I do think it is in the top 20). ER just needs to go the "way of the dinosaur" and just end.

I'm sad that JAG is over. They finally get Mac and Harm together but it is in the last 10 minutes of the episode and their fate is "TBD". Stupid writers!!!!!

My dad liked the show Enterprise. I didn't really watch it. Although it will be odd to not have a Star Trek show on the air in what, 20 years (since I'm just counting when TNG started to when Enterprise ended, since there is a wonderful 25+ year gap between Star Trek: TOS and TNG).

Being that 7th Heaven is now the WB's longest running series AND a brainchild of Aaron Spelling, I highly doubt they'd give it the axe without a proper finale.

While their numbers aren't at stellar as Smallville and Charmed, their viewership has remained steady, and I'm pretty sure they'll be back next season.

Yes, it's coming back and will be the longest running family drama when it does so.

Oh, and I just found out Summerland's coming back this summer. :D This week!

Jill1228 06-13-2005 12:50 AM

Mr. 1228 is heartbroken about Enterprise. It will be odd not to have a Star Trek show (I never liked it, Mr. 1228 is an addict).
At least he has his Star Gate SG-1

As long as SVU, House, and Medium are coming back, I'm a happy camper.

Fun fun show.

Also, Early Edition needs to come back.

I'm more of a Criminal Intent fan, but Trial by Jury isn't too bad either. I don't know what the ratings are like though...

DeeGeePrincess 06-17-2005 08:47 PM

any word on Life as We know it? With Kelly Osbourne. I wasnt sure if they cancelled it or not. It was on ABC

p.s LAw & ORder: Trial by Jury - sucks. never like it. kinda awkward.

It's official this time. The West Wing cancelled after seven seasons.

honeychile 01-22-2006 07:10 PM

I had the feeling that West Wing had run its course. But I have to say that I absolutely LOVE

My Name Is Earl!!!!

I really think it's the best of the freshmen series this year!

epchick 01-22-2006 08:15 PM

I can't find an article about it, but i did hear it on the WB that this season will be the last for 7th heaven.

Xylochick216 01-22-2006 08:17 PM

I'm sad "Emily's Reasons Why Not" was canned after one episode. Sure, it was brainles TV, but I thought they might give it more than one week to try to grow. I thought it worked well with the Monday night chick flick lineup on ABC with "Jake in Progress" and "The Bachelor"

It is. They've been plugging the last 11 episodes since even before Christmas. It's no fun if Jessica Biel won't come back. The whole Martin/Martin's Baby Mama/Rose storyline is a really shitty way to go.

And as far as "Emily's Reasons" goes...I liked the first episode. It was no Sex and the City, but I knew it'd grow on me if they kept it on the air. (The hottie not-gay guy kinda helped as well)

alphaxikt 01-23-2006 10:10 AM

I started watching Season 1 of Arrested Development on DVD last night - I think it's hilarious, but apparently Fox doesn't doesn't agree.

FOX Sucks.

In the meantime, there is hope that the show is headed toward Showtime, but they can't make it official until Fox quits screwing around and officially announces cancellation and Mitch Hurwitz (the creater) commits to stick around. Keep your fingers crossed!

Phigirl04 01-23-2006 07:04 PM

Even if Showtime picks it up, I doubt that it would stay on too long. Showtime loves to cancel good shows. (I'm still bitter about them cancelling Dead Like Me.)

Phigirl04 01-25-2006 04:40 PM

I'm adding another cancelled show to the list:
*The Book of Daniel
But they've been sure to say it was because of ratings, not due to pressure from conservative Christian groups. Hmm.

FSUZeta 01-25-2006 08:15 PM

fingers crossed for arrested development. it is too good to not continue on tv.

did anyone else see this seasons episode with tobias in the mole suit and gob's idea for the tiny development to fool the japanese?
hilarious!!!

Xylochick216 01-25-2006 08:21 PM

I watched the first episode of Book of Daniel. it wasn't bad, but I prefer Dancing with the Stars and In Justice. In Justice is incredible. It's definitely my pick for the new spring shows. I can't get enough of it.

I heard that ABC knew it was going to cancel this show before it even aired. They stated that the response they got when they
pre-viewed the show was lousy from the audience's survey's.
