Wisconsin Travel Arrangements

So I'm going to Wisconsin and I was wondering if anybody has ever stayed at the Don Q Inn. Can someone tell me about it or possibly recommend a suite? That would be great!

sugar and spice 05-25-2005 02:44 PM

I recommend the Arabian Nights room.

You can wear a fez!

I have been looking for a room with a 300 gallon copper cheese vat tub for AGES!

mu_agd 05-25-2005 03:03 PM

Isn't this where ksigkid is honeymooning?

Lil' Hannah 05-25-2005 03:04 PM

Make sure you get the rumaki!

You and Mr. Valkyrie owe it to yourselves to go see Revenge of the Sith, and then stay in The Tranquility Base!

Lil' Hannah 05-25-2005 03:08 PM

Do you think this guy comes with the room?

OMG, that astronaut thing in the corner would just creep me out.

And yeah, the copper cheese vat is key.

Perhaps you'd prefer the Mid-Evil Room. It comes with shackles on the bed. Shackles!

Sister Havana 05-25-2005 03:52 PM

I wouldn't mind staying in Caesar's Court.

KunjaPrincess 05-25-2005 08:45 PM

I'd have to go for several nights so I could stay in all those rooms, they all look amazing and fun.

RedRoseSAI 05-25-2005 10:13 PM

Hmmm...what is it with Wisconsin and really goofy hotels out in the middle of nowhere?

GeekyPenguin 05-26-2005 10:37 AM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

And I think I may be the only poster in the history of GC who has ever ACTUALLY stayed at the Don Q.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Oh man I am so jealous! Which room?!

Just a regular one dude. I'm GP, I'm vanilla. Some kid had scribbled all over our bathroom so I suppose it could be called the SCRIBBLED CRAYON room or something.

However, I know many fine fraternity gentlemen who have engaged in premarital activities that certainly would cause a great deal of dismay in their ministerial founders in rooms such as the Jungle Safari, the Paradise Cove, and THE SWINGER. Not that I'm intending to give you a hint as to what fraternity these upstanding gentlemen belonged to or anything. ;)

What business do you have in the booming metropolis of Dodgeville?

I'm not actually going to Wisconsin. :( I just wanted to talk about the Don Q Inn. I mean, who doesn't?!

Sister Havana 05-26-2005 12:54 PM

It isn't in Wisconsin but we must talk about the Madonna Inn too. Now that's a fun place!

My family stayed there one night when I was younger, when we took a trip to California. We stayed in this room. It was cool!

This is the funniest thing that I have seen in a long, long time.

It's all fun and games until you see 20 unbalanced men swinging around in the Jungle Room in the nude.

Oh, my! To quote jeff Foxworthy, "That is not right...It just isn't right..."

The swinging bed is, well, different...
I guess I just don't "get" the whole point...cheese vats, mirrors on the walls and ceiling????
Oh, dear.

Neither do I...but all the fraternities LOOOOOVE to have their formals there.

Oh my lord, Kath.

I guess there really wasn't that much to do in Platteville.

jharb 05-27-2005 10:20 AM

I was shocked to see there's one of these in Indiana. According to my boyfriend someone committed suicide in the moon room. :( That will put a real downer on your romantic getaway.

I'm glad none of our fraternities had formals there, I'd be frightened by it!
