YAY....Carrie is now off to the finals! Way to go Carrie! :D :D Watch next Tuesday, May 24 to see who the next American Idol will be.

OMG I am so excited!! I seriously voted a million times for her! I just felt like her sisters had something to do with it. I know that everyone is voting as much as they can for her and I can't wait to see the show next tuesday!! :D ;) :D ;) :D ;) :D ;)

After watching the show last night, i am confident that our girl has got this in the bag! She did so well! Everyone make sure to watch American Idol tonight at 8:00 (central time) to watch OUR SISTER get crowned the new American Idol Winner!

A small group of us got together last night to watch the show (including my grand lil who just moved back to Oklahoma), and we had so much fun! We all have our fingers crossed!

Well she did it! We have a Sigma as the American Idol. I'm so going to be in line to buy her single when it comes out June 14.

How exciting is this! She's our Sigma Idol!!! We def. need shirts that say something like... "Everyone's Idol" "Sigma Sigma Sigma"

My mom was rooting for Bo and OF COURSE I was rooting for Carrie. I couldn't believe how excited I was when she won! I have never even met her, but somehow, knowing she is a sister makes it that much more exciting! Yay!

Way to go Carrie... i havent watch any of the Idol stuff but after i heard a sister tell me that she was i got udates on it all the time... Shirts would be cute... if yall would like to do that i can talk to our chapter.. we have an alum that has a print shop so we always get good deals :D

does anyone else feel extra "sigma pride" this week because of Carrie?

I just noticed I have been wearing sigma stuff just about everyday this week :)

There's a one page article on Carrie in this weeks People and my mom called me over to point out that it says "A sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma, Carrie played quarterback for her sororities flag football team."

I think I wanna save every article about her that has sigma in it. Maybe this will be a great way to get girls interested for recruitment this fall. Hehe.

PS. I THINK unless Im mistaken, it looked like she had her lavalier on during her Larry King Live interview?

I wish she would hold a Sigma's only concert somewhere. Wouldnt that be great. :) Or backstage for her sisters. :-p

That would so cool. I was just thinking that the other day. I live near this theme park called Wild Adventures and they are always having concerts. So......if Carrie ever comes to Wild Adventures I'm going to beg my one friend who is a DJ for a country radio station to get me and my sorority meet and greet passes.

I jokingly proposed "Carrie is my Homegirl" t-shirts to my chapter.

Carrie's CD came out today. I just downloaded it from iTunes.

My roommate was watching CMT the other night and they did a special on Carrie. I guess she was in the middle of recording her CD and just got so stressed out that she said she needed to go home. So she went home but everytime she walked into somewhere, people started standing and clapping for her. Well that wasn't helping her stress so she said she went to the one place she could go to and completely be herself. They showed her going back to her sigma chapter and hanging out with all of her sisters. It was really cool....sigma stuff everywhere! I guess it just goes to show that your sisters are the ones who are always there for you! :)

I saw that show as well. Yes, it does go to show that your sisters are the ones that will always be there for ya no matter what.

I think this is something that a lot of us need to remember as we become alums, in college I never thought anything of calling my sisters with a problem, now I worry about adding stress to their lives, I need to remember that with sisters it's always about being there for eachother!

While waiting for my prescription I was reading the Teen People article about Carrie (current issue - yes, I know I'm a little old for Teen People! :D ) and they quote "Carrie's Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority sister Ashlee Smith." The article is online here if you want to read it.

It still cracks me up when I see pics of Carrie all "gussied up" at awards shows...I have this image of her in my head when I can see her in her room showing me these new letters she'd gotten made out of Dallas Cowboys material! She is such an amazing young woman who deserves all the success she's had already...and then some!

Hey,
Is anyone going to Convention this weekend or know any Sigma's that live in Nashville. I'm going but i'm looking for a place to stay because I don't have any money. It would be great if I didn't have to pay for a hotel. Let me know, thanks.
