Go Pistons:D |
The Pistons are the only team left that I actually like, so I'll be cheering them on too. :)
|
And here I figured I was gonna get flamed!
|
That's right, GO PISTONS!!
Since I am from a city with no basketball team, last season I became a bandwagon fan. I may not follow them as intensely as I do with the sports from St. Louis, but I will root for them even after I move back home to StL. GO PISTONS!! Let's end the series tonight and then get ready to beat who ever is up next (I think that it's the Heat, but I haven't really paid a lot of attention  ) |
*bump*
I think we're heading for a back to back!!!!!!!!!! |

Heck yeah, that trophy is going to stay in Motown!!!! Excited for tomorrow and Game 1. |
Let's go Pistons!
And please, no lockout. Let's get a contract PLEASE -Said the girl dating a man who works for the league... |
How 'bout them stones? One down and three to go!
|
They scared me in the fourth quarter, thank goodness they pulled it back together! They seem to only play as hard as they need to, then when they get a decent lead, they relax a bit, til the other team catches up and THEN they kick it into gear again. That could backfire on them if they're not careful!
|
Okay, that game tonight was pretty awesome.
Now they can go on to squash the Spurs!! |
That game just about did my heart in. But, we did it!
I'd say the Heat and the Pistons were a pretty even match. A whole series coming down to the last 2 minutes of play is pretty amazing. I was actually pacing during the last few minutes because I couldn't sit down. So tired tonight, don't wanna go to work, but everybody will be in the same tired, bad shape. Bring on the Spurs! (Not feeling quite as confident about them now) Dee |

I only watch basketball off and on in the playoffs but, without hockey, I was really sucked in this year. Great series! Can't wait for the next round.
|
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
GO SPURS GO!!!!! GO SPURS GO!!!!! GO SPURS GO!!!!! Just had to rub it in to the Pistons fans... :p |
I can't believe no one has said it yet...
Deeeeeeeeeeeeetroit Baaaaaaaaaaasketballllllllllll! I'm such a bandwagon fan. I wanted to watch the game so we went to Malarkey's in Westland and it was crazy up in there! Everyone cheering.... I felt l ike I was at the game! I didn't get into it until the last quarter and everyone was going crazy! Then the deejay played "We are the Champions" and it was just crazy. Everyone became friends and high-5ing and just a really good atmosphere. We're going back for the rest of the game. |
Rasheed can carry his title belt around for a few more weeks yet. Now hopefully they can beat the spurs
|
I am sooooooooooo glad that the Miami Heat isn't going to the playoffs, I like the Pistons for beating them (FINALLY). But I will always remain loyal to my Spurs who are going to win it all. ;)
|
I have a question. If you're not from Texas, HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY LIKE THE SPURS? Seriously.
Tony Parker looks like a weird tadpole. http://www.mbayaq.org/efc/living_spe..._deep_m086.jpg |

Does that count? :( And I mean COME ON, I'm from freakin' Nebraska. I absolutely HAVE to go to other states for their teams b/c uh, Nebraska has no professional teams at all. :( :D Tony Parker is hideous looking though, I totally agree. Tim Duncan on the other hand....mmm soooo hot. ;) :D |
GO SPURS GO
KICK SOME PISTON A$$ |

Tim Duncan? Hot?! For real? He looks like he was the guy who played the Sousaphone in high school band and pulled his socks all the way up to his knees while wearing a beanie. http://www.bballone.com/timd/spurs/i...s21_resize.jpg Hi! I'm a dork!! Sorry. I love to trash-talk. |
go spurs go!
hey valkyrie! don't make fun of folks who were in band in high school, some of them are super cool!
that being said, yeah, tim duncan looks like a bit of a dork. but who cares, he's a fantastic player! all that time he's not out being social, he's in practice. plus, he does live in san antonio, not exactly the most exciting/thrilling city in texas. anyone who's been to texas knows that austin is where it's at. GO SPURS GO! game one...check! |
2 down just 2 to go-piece of cake.
GO SPURS GO |
We'rrrrrrrrrrrrre Backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeetroit Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaasketball!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y'all didn't really think we were gonna let ya win, didja? |
That game was HOT.
|

Oh yea, and GO SPURS!!! HAHA this is funny |
They purposely lost the game so they can celebrate victory in S.A.
Go Spurs Go |

Oh, by the way, GO PISTONS!! enigma_AKA |
THey will go to 7 games because too much money would be lost if the series was wrapped up in 4 games.
Both teams loose tons of ticket sales revenues and concession revenues, not to mention the FREE media exposure for each city. Seriously, how often is a playoff series EVER finished in 4 games? The NBA (while not as bad as the NCAA) is a money making machine. Thats first in their minds. |
If any of you get the chance, read Bill Simmons' daily game logs on the Finals on espn.com. They're great.
|
past NBA finals
Rarely does a series go to 7 games. Rarely is it only 4 games. Most often, it looks to be 5 or 6 games from the above website. Bottom line is: At their best, both of these teams are awesome and can kick the tar out of most other teams. We've now seen two games with the Pistons at their best and two with the Spurs at their best. The ideal game is one where they're both at their best. I think now that Ben has his Fro again, there's no stopping him! He's frorocious! FEAR THE FRO! What great defense last night. Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetroit Baaaaaaasketball! Dee (troit.. LOL) |
I appreciate the fro, but I think he looks cuter with the corn rows.
However, last night when they interviewed him at the half was really the first time I'd ever heard him speak more than a few words. Hate to say it, but he sounds kind gumpy! His voice is way too high for his look!!! But I still love him! Go Pistons!!! |
He said in an interview that he keeps the fro for home games and his wife does his braids before he goes on the road. It's his routine and he's sticking to it.
|
I SWEAR we saw him in a conversion van driving through the not so great area of Detroit last night.
Then again it could have been any other Detroit fan with a fro. I like it when the games are close cuz then they're fun and not so boring to watch. But I love it when we totally kick ass. |
And game 5 is won! Back to SA to become the 2005 national champs! ;) :D Go Spurs go!
|
The following is an important Public Service Announcement brought to you from Auburn Hills, Michigan:
DETROIT SUCKS!!! http://www.mysanantonio.com/multimed...STONS-G4-3.jpghttp://www.mysanantonio.com/multimed...STONS-G4-6.jpg GO SPURS GO!!!!!! |
I might have a heart attack in the next two minutes... I really might. I had to come on here because I'm getting too anxious! New DSM diagnosis: basketball finals anxiety disorder.
I hope to post again in a few minutes, to let ya'll know I survived! |
Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetroit Basketball!!!!!!!
It was awfully arrogant for San Antonio to plan their victory parade for Thursday. Let's go Bad Boys, one more to go! You boys can do whatever you set your hearts and minds to do! Dee Game 7 really might kill me. |
