For you regulars, especially the ones who have been posting for a while...

We pretty much know how we are percieved by other GCers...what are some facts about you that might go against that perception?

I'll go first. For my chapter's surperlatives - I was once voted as the most shy member. :D I'm not really sure where that came from, though.

Outside of GC, I hate talking to people. I have social anxiety disorder so much so that my friends have to convince me to go out with them.

And, I was once voted "Zeta Lady." (Usually for the nicest, most cordial, lady-like member.)

I am really not liking Bush right now.
And I once went to a Smashing Pumpkins and Puddle of Mudd concert.

Most people who know me in real life are surprised to find out I'm not a Republican.

Most people in real life consider me to be a stuck-up bitch.



Seriously.

Well, I am to a certain extent.

I'm actually really nice. No, sickeningly nice. Nice to a fault.



Other than "bitchy," I'm not sure what my GC reputation is, so I can't really defend myself.

Some people may be suprised to know that I can be shy. Besides the fact that that I perceive some people dislike me for whatever reason, I really don't feel like I've aquired much of a reputation, so that is all I can really think of. OH and I'm not as much of a goody- goody as I may come across on the boards.

I'm a perfectly normal man.

I'm extremly sarcastic, but as we've all seen, sarcasim doesn't come across very well in type. And also...I don't know how to say this without sounding stuck up and/or cocky, but I'm smart - as in high IQ and honors and the whole bit... I know this sounds stupid, but I've gotten used to hiding it b/c I used to get made fun of all the time for talking way over people's heads. I was the qunitessential nerd in Jr High (honors, captian of the Scholastic Bowl team, band).

I have no idea what my reputation is on this site. I don't think I'm all that different than I am in real life. People I work with think I'm more conservative than I actually am, but that's about the only difference.

Well, I have stated on GC that I am crabby sometimes, but I don't think folks know that I have a VERY bad temper!!:mad:

I am very talkative and like to socialize. I can carry on a conversation with anyone about anything.
But I can also be very snotty and bitchy.
I also (unless i am at work or with my home) drop f-bombs like no other!

Pretty much the same with me too. Oh yeah, and I have a temper! And a bit of attitude! :D

I'm not a nice person all the time. I can be a real snot rag.

I'm myself. I do what I want, I say what I think and I mean what I say (which is rare in a lot of people) when I'm not cutting up or trying to joke around to livens moods up. People say I'm loud, and I agree. I try to live life as if there's no tommorrow, making the most out everything. Usually people are often viewed has having a "gift" given to them, most older people in my family say my gift is perseverance. I don't ever give up. I guess that also means I'm very Ambitious. I also think the fire that drives me to success and future fortune will also be the same fire that leads to my doom/death in the end. It sounds creepy but it's something Ive come to understand and accept and in turn gives me a clear conscious and allows me to sleep at night.

As for my rep on GC, I could give a rats ass. Ive been banned 3 times and still came back. I've probably slept with more women than most men who post on here combined (or at least the only one who's willing to admit it) thus making me the dirtiest mofo in everyone's eyes within this community. I violate so many rules it's laughable but I'm really not the bad/mean/nasty person many people on here think I am. It goes back to me saying what I think and often it makes me look an asshole. But honestly, I don't care.



-but in the corporate scene I don't wear earrings, cuss, spit, smack my food when eating lunch with a client or associate and I'm never high-strung but almost always laid back. I eat correctly without both arms on the table and never chew my food with my mouth open. I don't burp, hock a loogie or anything like what I do around my girlfriends. Some people say thats living a double life, I just say it's all about making that cheddahh. :D

I don't know what my reputation is. I doubt that people even read half of what I post.

Here's something that might be surprising in general. I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan. Matter of fact, I love all forms of classic rock. I also like jazz, and I'm not talking about the Kenny G crap either. Miles Davis' Bitches Brew is my favorite jazz album of all time.

One thing that strikes me as odd....you mean to tell me people on GC don't have more friends in real life than they do on GC? (I'm sorry if that offends any people who are hermits or dorks/losers) But I have many many many times the amount of friends in real life than people I talk to on GC. I thought most people do have more friends in real life. :confused: Maybe that explains why most of the people on here are crazy. :rolleyes: I know I've had a feeling that a lot of people on here really don't have much of a life, but I never really knew to what extent or what the real percentage of losers really is. :o

I've never thought about my GC rep. I don't think I have one.

I actually make friends really really easily in real life, but for some reason, its hard for me to make friends on here! I would have to relate with those who say that they don't think their posts are really read that much. Doesn't stop me from my occasional postings though :D
