New Film: Crash

Don Cheadle, Ludacris, Larenz Tate, Loretta Devine, and Terrance Howard among other performers star in this flick. Since my MD weekend plans have sort of changed, I think I'll check this out this weekend.

This drama is about several intersecting lives in Los Angeles, shortly after the September 11th attacks.

This looks really interesting. I think I will check it out.

FeeFee 05-06-2005 02:53 PM

I think I'll check it out as well.

Lady of Pearl 05-06-2005 08:55 PM

Anything with Don Cheadle I'll see- also they have been discussing the movie on Tavis Smiley's show last night and tonight, there is some controversy about the stereotypes in the film.

NUPE4LIFE 05-10-2005 01:41 PM

I saw Crash last night and all I can say is that this is a must see movie. All the performances in the movie where great, even Ludacris. Everyone go see this movie.

AKA2D '91 05-10-2005 01:44 PM

I didn't get a chance to see it. However, I haven't seen too many promos on TV. I did see the trailer at the movies during previews.

NUPE4LIFE 05-10-2005 04:23 PM

This explains why they don't have a solid marketing scheme for "Crash"

Lorenz Tate tells MTV about how they ran out of money while making "Crash".

That movie is great.. I suggest you go quickly and bring others with you. It is too good to be in the theaters long.

Virtuous Woman 05-10-2005 10:31 PM

This movie is phenomenal! It will make you think and it is very thought provoking. It has Oscar written all over it

strivingsf 05-11-2005 10:23 AM

This is a "thumbs up" movie, it shows we are closer than six degrees of separation

Gina1201 05-11-2005 12:50 PM

I saw it last night!! Two thumbs up!!:D Definite addition to the DVD collection.

CrazyTxPrincess 05-11-2005 11:59 PM

I saw Crash last night and it was excellent. Anyone who hasn't seen this movie please go see it!! It touches a lot of stereotypes that we have about many people like blacks, asians, and others. This movie will really leave you thinking about how we look at each other

FeeFee 05-17-2005 09:57 AM

I finally saw the movie after work yesterday, and I must say that it was a smartly made movie. I will add this to my DVD collection.

MsSweetness 05-17-2005 02:08 PM

Man, I have heard nothing but good reviews about this movie. Hopefully I can check it out soon. I'm over here rollin' pennies :( :o

ladygreek 05-17-2005 02:13 PM

This movie is AWESOME. But be prepared to be on the edge of your seat through much of it. Oh and you might want to have some kleenex with you.

ladylike 05-19-2005 11:05 AM

I cried over the Latino father and child. :( Their scenes together were beautiful. :)

Ten/Four 05-19-2005 12:59 PM

I saw the movie the other day and highly recommend it. It was one of the better movies I've seen that involves multiple story lines with all the characters relating to each other in some way. I'm with Ladylike, the Latino family's story also made me cry. This movie was very well written, directed, and acted. All the characters stayed true to themselves.

_Opi_ 05-19-2005 01:05 PM

This movie was off the hook!!!!

I wasnt expecting it to be this good since I havent seen any previews to it...or even heard of the movie..but I would highly recommend people to watch it..!!!

I wanted to choke Sandra Bullock's character!

I saw a trailer for it on TV for the first time last night on UPN. :o

K.O.T.S 05-30-2005 02:52 PM

hey did anyone notice don cheadles character's theme of touched being " touched upon" in the movie. such as no one physically touches anyone else except in very dramatic moments. or am i just looking too deep into this?

Conskeeted7 09-05-2005 09:56 AM

Released on video tomorrow, Sept. 6.

SKEEphistAKAte 09-05-2005 03:53 PM

I saw this on pay per view over the weekend. Loved it! Fantastic film. I also liked the Latino father-daughter scenes. And Thandie Newton is a wonderful actress.

dotts 12-09-2005 01:54 PM

nachural 12-09-2005 04:14 PM

this movie is definately a must see. But i can't bring myself to watch it again. It's far too disturbing....from the first scene to the end:(

I was hoping this would happen and I'm thrilled that it is. I actually know a few people that, for whatever reason, were living under a rock all this time (:p ) and haven't seen it yet. So, I will happily spread the word.

Thanks, Soror Moderator! :D

BLUTANG 03-10-2006 12:43 PM

:) We're going tonight... I originally saw it on DVD, and a friend has NEVER seen it.
