Whose Going to LTS?
 

Hey all!! I know it's realy early to be asking but I'm soo excited at the possibility of going and maybe I can meet some of you while I'm there!

HI there,

I'm planning to go. The Southern LA County Alumnae Chapter is being installed at LTS and since I'm the Archon for it I really want to be there.

Has anyone received any information yet about LTS? I've gotten nothing in the mail at this point as to how much it is going to cost etc.

I'll be there. There was a delay with the registration info so it has not been sent out yet. They are working on getting the info out ASAP.

Just got my info in the mail.... "Phi Sig Real Sisters" and a reality tv style experience? heheh I'm excited I happen to know that I rock at things like Fear Factor;) I already know I can eat crickets, goldfish, meal worms and habenaro peppers!!

I could go as a GRAND COUNCIL member but I have a wedding that weekend. (And it's my 24th birthday! :( I'm getting old!) (But it's better than "no body likes you when you're twenty-three," thanks Blink-182. Maybe now I'll find a boyfriend.)

What positions does grand council consist of ??

Grand Council consists of national committee chairs. For example: Awards chair, regional programming chairs, housing coordinators/supervisors, regional directors, regional finance coordinators, volunteer recruitment coordinators, and regional alumnae coordinators.

Region 2, but I have a wedding that weekend so I can't go. But July 30 is my birthday so have extra fun that day for me!!!

I will be at LTS our chapter Archon can not be there, so I will attending in her place. Can someone please tell me if I need to bring whites or all pin attire. I have been trying to reach my RCD but I think she might be away or not checking her mail currently. Other then that I am very excited to be going. I am very involved in my chapter and probably should be Archon but owell.

They'll send a packet with info. I think you need all white for one evening and pin attire for some of the other events.

Well it looks like I'm not going to make it to LTS afterall. I just spent the money I had put away to pay for the trip - I bought a timeshare in Orlando this past week. I could charge the trip but want to get out of credit card debt so I've decided not to go to LTS.

I'm bummed because i wanted to be there as the So. LA County Alum chapter is installed but at least Beth will be there to proudly represent us.

you'll love going! did you get a packet yet?
unless things have changed, you shouldn't need whites for LTS, but you will need pin attire. also don't forget a sweater - seriously. I've been to LTS at that hotel 2x and it's always freezing inside!

Packet came with a dress guidelines which included white.. don't know if they just send the same thing every year, but...

And Jess, Id go as Grand Council too if I wouldnt have been screwed over by Phi Sigma Sigma YET AGAIN... I really should be used to it by now, right?

Yes you will need a white outfit. We will be having a plenary session to discuss/vote on at least on issue regarding Foundation.
LTS is usually a bit more casual than Convention, however you will need pin attire for some sessions. The Foundation dinner on Friday and the Awards dinner on Saturday are dressier so you should be prepared for that as well.

Also, for anyone who was wondering- Collegians will room with other collegians and CKAs and other NP are put together (usually by region). And I also can't wait to see my Crystalbelle, it will be a TU reunion at LTS :D

PS to Ali- There are quite a few Grand Council positions available. If there is something you are interested in doing, let me know and I can see what I can do.

I haven't got a packet yet and I'ma little worried about the whites thing, looks like I'm gonna have to go shopping.
I'm a little sad to hear that I won't be rooming with my CKA :( We're isolated up here in Ottawa we don't know any other collegians who are attending except each other.

OKay question, does anyone know if it is a bed to ourselves or sharing a bed? cuz I thought our archon last year shared the bed with our MAL...

For collegians I do know they share a bed with another sister. There are usually 2 beds in a room with 4 sisters per room. It's not too bad since you're rarely in your room - there is just so much to do and so many sisters to meet.

Not that I really care but if I am the only person going from my chapter will it make a difference who I am roomed with or who I sleep with?? You guys might not be able to answer these questions but if you can........

I second the question, I find the idea of sleeping with a complete stranger in the same bed a little daunting need to prepare myself

They usually try to have people room together who are in the same region. I know that it can be scary rooming w/ people you don't know but in all the years I have gone it hasn't usually been a problem. And like Carolyn said, really you're not in your room a whole bunch.

I'm not really scared of rooming with people I don't know, I've never met anyone from our region because noone is close to us. I am scared of sleeping in a bed with someone I don't know though

Aww, it won't be that bad - we are all Sisters! :D :p ;)

So is my real life sister and she kicks like a mule when you share a bed with her! :D

a month in a half till LTS is everyone excited?? I am getting excited I have never been to one however i have gone to NGLA twice....This should be a fun new experience :D

I wish I could go I just can't quite afford it yet. I'm still searching for a job. But anyway it sound really interesting. I do plan on attending at least once.
