Great songs from the 70's & 80's
I was just inspired by AI4 in which the contestants sang songs from the year they were born (all in the 70's and 80's) so I thought it might be fun to list some of our faves.
Love is a Battlefield by Pat Benatar Dancing Queen by ABBA (my dad HATES this song while my mom and I LOVE it) |
Is this a "one at a time"?
My Sharona |

I love the song Heaven is a Place on Earth. I couldn't tell you who sings it, but I love it. I'm a total child of the 80's so I need to think back on my "faves". LOL |
Belinda Carlise sings the Heaven song.
I used to have it on one of those really small records and would play it on my Fisher Price record player, all dressed up in "dress-up" clothes, and dance around my family room. (Yes, I am a child of the '80's!) Favorite Song: I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers, originally released in 1988. |
The "classic" Bon Jovi:
-Livin on a Prayer -You give love a bad name And then: -Disco Inferno -Most stuff by Earth Wind and Fire -Love Shack Madonna: -Like a Virgin -Material Girl -Celebrate That is basically my "work music" CD right there :) |

Please pardon my big time crash as well. I too am such the devoté to "my music". I actually have on a mix tape of 70's and 80's music right now.
I also hear myself channeling my patents when I talk to the 'youth of today' as I say stuff like: "You kids today don't know what music is if it came up and bit you. Now music from the 70s and 80s... now THAT was music." In any case, if I may, here are a few of my favorite love/make-out songs (as the case may be) from that wonderful era. "Wuthering Heights" - Miss Kate Bush "I Drove All Night" - Miss Cyndi Lauper "More Than This" - Roxy Music "True" - Spandau Ballet "Our Love" - Miss Donna Summer "It's My Life" - Talk Talk |
