Are you all interested in a GC Weekend Gathering?

Would you like to meet in Vegas in the near future? Post all thoughts/Comments/Suggestions here!

Would we want to meet in the Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter of '06.

Please keep in mind that the Alphas are celebrating their Centennial in '06.

I'm down! I think that Summer would be best for me, but that depends on when the Alpha Centennial celebration will be held. Vegas would be a nice place to meet. I've never had the pleasure of going there and that should be a fun and interesting experience! :D

I would love to meet you all!! I suggest either early summer or late summer. I also wouldn't mind Chicago, some where in FL, DC, L.A. or Nawlins. Just a thought

If we'd do Vegas, I'd suggest late summer. I remember Vegas in July. The devil was out EVERYDAY, even LATE at night.

I also suggested Essence '06.

My budget impaired self is down with Las Vegas!

Las Vegas may actually work for me. I don't drive that sort of distance anymore, but if given enough time, a cheap flight would be workable, I think.

Yeah, I would need SUPER advanced planning time, especially since I will be employment challenged in a few months.

I wouldn't mind Vegas. I've never been before.

UGGHH, Soror if you recall I was MISERABLE at Leadership. I thought that I was going to combust in that crazy a$$ heat! Even with the 'misters' at PF Chang's, I was like WHOA! :eek:

I am not too pressed to return to Las Vegas, but if it comes down to it being a final contender- please consider early fall. Otherwise, count me out.

I was also going to suggest Essence.

Doesn't Chicago have a huge jazz festival as well?

Can't do Essence, too many people. And how hot is it in Chicago during the summer? I know it's not as hot as Las Vegas. But, I always hear about people falling out and dying there during the summer.

What about the Pacific Northwest?
Chicago? Detroit? (Boule and a gathering in ONE shot), plus they are centrally located
St. Louis?

I like the idea of a GC weekend, 2D. What about Labor Day or mid-October, 2006? That should give everybody who wants to roll sufficient time enough to get ready.

"06" will be a pretty big year for me, :cool: but I might could find a way to squeeze something like this in.

I want to travel as well and Chicago gets really hot in the summer and it can be expensive because of all the festivals,etc. I wouldn't mind going to the essence fest either.

uhh, you are handling/organizing this well, 2D. But if you want, I'd serve as a minor, minor, bit player (helper) in your GC travel enterprise.

I'm kinda liking the idea of doing it Boulé time (that is, if I can get that time off! New dean, not too flexible. . .).

I'm in Southern California

y'all can come to Twin Cities--it is nice in the summer, we have the Mall of America, casinos, and beautiful lakes and beaches. Also great restaurants, theatres, etc. :D

I'm also in SoCal, and my decision will be affected by Boule (I am definitely going) and cash.

I WILL be in Detroit (If the Lord says the same) July '06!

If we could have this AFTER Boule, then that would be :cool:.

I am in the DC area.

And like my Sorors Steeltrap and AKA2D said, my Boule attendance will impact my participation in the gathering.

Well the NPHC convention is in Chicago in October. Not sure if anyone planned on going to that.

i'm looking to be at Boule in '06 since it's just 4 hrs. up I-75 for me. a GC gathering sounds fun and Vegas is a great choice but preferably in the fall. i did it in July and it was a bit much at around 112 degrees daily:eek:

Am I invited? If so why don't you guys come to good old Tallahassee and see me and SKEE.

I like NO though. That sounds good to me. If we went to Vegas all I'd do is drink all the time. Not a gambler.

I would have to vote for Detroit around the time of y'all Boule. That would be the perfect time. The weather is nice, and there's plenty to do. We could all meet up at Belle Isle or somehwere for free.

I want to go :D I'm in Ohio and I'll be at Boule in July 06.

Chicago would be a nice location because of the summer festivals and events.

...and when they get here, where are we going to take them? To "Be Out Day"? LOL.
