This is the brand that Paris wears. I didn't know she had naturally brown eyes! I want to get a pair now! not in blue though. I'm way too dark to pull that off, maybe hazel....

its kind of insane though, after wearing contacts for years, and then getting the lasik and now going back to wearing contacts again...

I would love to try colored contacts sometime, because I've always wondered what I'd look like with different-colored eyes.

Hope they dont make them in Black and White!:(

Hell, I need to see the DR. am going Blind but only in one eye!

Hope you arent meaning France (Paris) as they have a S**TY outlook anyway!

Never thought about wearing them...
My prescription was so high (-7.25) that I was happy to be able to find a contact I could wear :)

Now that I have had lasik done, I don't miss doing the contact lens stuff

I have worn them-- I liked them, but last time I ordered them the blue was a different shade. I have blue eyes and I was trying to intensify the shade. The box came in- I put one in and looked in the mirror and I couldn't tell the difference between the contact and my natural color. I guess they changed the shade--so I went back to the cheaper, regular contacts.

Thats almost what my rx is (-6.75 and -7.00)!! And my eyes haven't stabilized yet so I can't get lasik yet:(

I thought about it for awhile, because my mom and brother have awesome blue eyes and I got stuck with the green eyes. Blue and blonde just seem to go better though. Also the $$$ is a deterent.

I wish I had that problem....my grandma is a natural blonde with green eyes (100% mexican) and my grandpa is dark hair, dark eyes - we all look like my grandpa...but I could have been a green eyed blonde since it seemed to have skipped a generation and some of my cousins look like my grandma (not me though).

I wear colour enhancer contacts. My natural colour is hazel and my contacts have a slightly green tint to them, so it really brings out the green in my eyes.

I have colored contacts and I love them. I have bluish grey eyes and blue contacts.

i've tried color contacts but they kinda hurt my eyes and the ones that REALLY change the color rather than enhance look so fake on me...

Nah hon...I turned in my prescription and they were like DAYUMN!
And top it off I had to wear special contacts for the astigmatism from hell (-4.00 cylinder...very BAD astigmatism)
Contacts were easily $200 pair. Glasses that looked good were easily $250-300

No they had no colored contacts for people who had to wear toric lenses

I had toric color contacts a long time ago (when i was 15) but my cylinder was not that bad maybe about -2.00. either way, they were expensive as hell. came out to around $550 for the pair. I think the prices have come down since then, but still uber pricey!

I feel ya...my prescription is -6.5 in the left eye and -7.0 in the right. And I can never have Lasik because I had a detached retina, so...I'm stuck with contacts, but I don't mind because I'd rather be able to see some kind of way than not at all.

bucutie02 04-07-2005 08:56 PM

I have always wanted to get color contacts. The thing is, I don't wear glasses or contacts- so I would have to go get an eye exam.

How much to regular color contacts cost?

I did one time, go on vacation to Cancun- and we went into this mall/market thing, and they were selling contacts. I bought some, but I could never get them on correctly. It was as if the contact was too big for my eye, plus every time I would blink, it would move up and down???

I think green would look best on me, since I have dark hair, but fair skin.

If you are like -6.0 what does the world look like? I am like -1.25 and I can't see without my contacts in.

Jill1228 04-08-2005 05:02 AM

You have to have a book an inch from your face to read without glasses. (at least I did)

Translation: you have your glasses beside the bed so that is the first thing you put on in the morning before you do anything.

I wore daily wear lenses until they were discontinued. Since I had to change lenses, I decided to try disposables and they were available in colors, too! I'm a blue eyed blonde (like many in my family) and always wondered how I'd look with grey or green eyes.

I tried the accuvue transparents and opaques. The transparent ones (aqua) were kinda cool - enhanced the color I had, didn't change it really. I would get them again. The opaques are another story!

What I was not prepared for was the effect of looking thru colored lenses!! The grey ones gave the world a slightly hazy look and didn't do much for my appearance. The green ones make me feel like I'm underwater and looking up at the sky, but I'm told they look very natural on me. Both are annoying when trying to get a clear look at something - I find myself tilting my head (as if to look over the rim of reading glasses) in order to get a clear view of whatever I'm looking at...

I'm a -5.75 and order online (1800contacts). Somehow they mistakenly sent me +5.75 in the opaque green! I never paid much attention to the + or - before, so I thought I was going crazy until I compared boxes and noticed the error. (1800contact was VERY nice about the mistake and replaced them right away!)
