We are already making lists of when the Fall recruitment dates are, so I said "what the hell, let's do it!"
August will be here before you know it, so now is a good time as any to start the Fall Rush thread.

lol..ur right, August will be here soon. I've made up my mind, and decided that i'll be going through rush in the Fall!!! Yay go me! So watch out for my rush thread when it is time! lol

I will be rushing in the fall. Not sure if I'll be able to post throughout the whole thing, but I will definitely post the results. :)

Jill, you are the best! Now I can not only count down how many days left till the end of school but also how many days until rush starts!!

This is a big recruitment year for the Carnation Nation...MANY baby girls were born to the family in 1987. For your entertainment I will have:

1. A daughter rushing at a school that has one of her legacy sororities.
2. Two nieces rushing at an Alabama school...one niece is a legacy to one of the sororities on her campus.
3. Another niece rushing at a Georgia school...she's a DZ legacy but her school doesn't have DZ.

Plus 2 of their friends will be rushing at UGa, always good for keeping folks on the edge of their seat.

Now I have to decide how many threads to make out of these...probably one for my daughter and a separate one for the cousins.

I feel old.........I graduated from HS in 1987. :D

I got rid of my major vice in 1997 (cigarettes) so I gotta have at least 2 or 3 smaller vices :D

No...and I don't think next year's rushing daughter will go to a Pi Phi school either so I may have to wait 6 years for my next try. But you'd better believe that if one of the UGa friends goes Pi Phi, there'll be a party going on here!

I might be getting ahead of myself, but my cousin might go through recruitment at UNC-Chapel Hill this fall. She thinks Greek Life isn't for her, but I'm trying to convince her right now.

I'm HOPING that my freshman daughter will go through rush this fall...wherever it is that she lands, that is!
She's been accepted at a Georgia school that has the sorority she is a legacy of. I'm trying not to push too hard. And that's hard for me!

I will be rushing (for the second time) at an undisclosed location. I'm really excited about it and I hope I find a home this time!

I'm so doing AI for ZTA-St. Louis Alum Chapter in the fall. I'm choosing not to be that discreet because I KNOOOWWW that I will make it! I'm an unique candidate indeed! :)

All I need is some recs! I know that it's not cool to ask GCers for recs, but I've been posting here for four years, and have been an outstanding member. Can someone please send some! Pretty Please!

:eek: I just sat down with one of my AOII daughters and we had a marathon rec-writing session for several local PNMs. We would've had BlazerCheer doing the Chi O recs except she can't get onto the Chi O website to download forms because she doesn't have an Eleusis.

Now--I just have to finish getting recs for my daughter who, for recruitment purposes, I will call StarryNight.

Went to the Brighton store at Perimeter Mall yesterday to pick up a small graduation gift for niece graduating from hs on Friday. I already know that she is saving $$ for a trip to Europe 2006 so she probably won't go through rec although I'll try to convince her, lol. . We are going to give her something for the trip that but I wanted to also get her something as a keepsake.

Anyway, I found some very cute silver and gold heart earrings. As I was paying for them, I noticed the silver bookmarks at the cash register. Finally found a cute one with a heart and pearl so I bought it too.

As I was looking through the bag this am, I saw that the scanner tag was still on there....the item design was called "Sorority Row":cool: Guess I should go back and buy one b/c I have the "SR" earrings myself, lol. :D

I will be rushing this fall at the University of Georgia! I know that rush there is very competitive so I am pretty nervous, but very excited. With that said, any advice or tips concerning rush at UGA or just rush in general would be appreciated. Good luck to everyone rushing!

My sister's best friend will probably be going through recruitment at UGA as well. It appears alot of girls are going through recruitment there this year.

my best rush advice would be to do a search entitled "rush threads" and read them, if you have not already done so. best of luck and please keep us posted!!

I will be transfering from LSU to the University of Arizona (I will be a sophmore), and I just decided that I will be rushing this fall =) *excited!!

We have 7 summer research students that I'm trying to get to go greek in the fall. I'll let you know if I'm successful with any of them!
