Wow, all of the houses look so amazing. I would like to see what some of the houses look like in person and on the inside. Our chapter does not have a house because there was supposedly some law in TN that says a certain number of women could not reside in a house together because it would be considered a brothel. However, we are in the process of building a house. The university is creating a "Greek Row" and they had construction bids out so that the project could be done by the end of fall, but something went wrong and they had to resubmit the bid. We are anxiously awaiting getting a house... the KD's have enough money where we could buy/build on our own, but we have been encouraged to work with the University from nationals...and while we have the money and could have taken the more expensive bid, the other greeks involved in this project do not have the money.... sorry my post got so long..

Hi, these are from the Kappa Delta Chapter (Alpha Mu) at Ole Miss. They aren't the best pictures but you can get an idea. They really have a gorgeous house, inside and outside.

All the houses are so pretty!
Our chapter doesn't really have a house either. We are a really young chapter, so we haven't had time to generate enough funds for a house on our own, and in general the University GIVES houses to the Greeks but they have seemingly 'run out' and are no longer making that a priority. So, right now our house is a (I kid you not) double-wide trailer which we share with another sorority on campus. :( only a few council members get to live in the house, and it is not remotley large enough to host any kind of event in. I wish I could see our chapter gain a house before I graduate but it doesn't seem likely. BEST OF LUCK to the rest of you who are pursuing houses for your chapters. and to the girls who have sunch nice houses: Enjoy! <3 |
