OK I started a Thread

In the Delta forum asking who is this RUDEY CAT who felt the need to tell the Alphas what is Brotherly. And it was deleted because it would incite "drama" Is it OK to start a thread like that here? Are we that restricted that we can let this person speak to us in any way but don't have a right to defend our own?

Professor 03-21-2005 02:35 PM

He is GC poster like the rest of us. He has opinions just like my Brothers. We can agree to disagree.

It's a line from the movie "Donnie Darko." Solid movie if you get the chance to see it.

Are you guys following people around to see what's posted in the BGLO forums now and especially topics concerning Alpha Phi Alpha?

I'm just curious. That seems quite strange.

Who are these "guys" you speak of? As for myself, I've read and posted in the BGLO forums for a while now...since before your username was even created.

You felt the need to respond, so you know who I'm referring to. Your response still does not answer the question. Now since the poster of the thread has raised the question of people trying to tell Alphas what's brotherly, I have a concern there. I'm an Alpha. What's your concern?

Not even trying to get in the middle of this drama... but many people who post on GC look at the "View New Posts" option. Often I do not realize what particular area of GC I am in unless I notice signatures, etc. I just pick whatever topic looks interesting. So I would say that few are "following people around" in the BGLO forums- they are just responding to topics that interest them.

Professor 03-22-2005 09:57 AM

Frat,

One can post anywhere on GC - - - although they may or or may not understand the culture of the avenue and organization.

In an effort to try and create a respectful environment, the exact opposite has happened here. A specific question was asked of Alphas, yet almost half of the initial responses are from people that AREN'T Alphas. It's a little hard to swallow.

AKA2D '91 03-22-2005 10:22 AM

If it's a PROBLEM...

You all should SPECIFY that ONLY Alphas should post. :D

Ooooh guys not in BGLOs? I get it.

Again, I post where and when I want as long as I don't violate the rules. I never said anything bad about Alphas, I never cursed Professor, nothing. And in return he hasn't deleted my posts and agrees that I can say what I want. It doesn't mean he has to listen.

If you want to create an Alpha only website with Alphas only allowed to post, go for it. Will you be able to afford it or will you not have money like that Kazo people? This is Greekchat.com and it's run by John Hammel by the way.

-Rudey

AKA2D '91 03-22-2005 01:29 PM

Since you have mentioned John...

John hasn't had any problems with how his moderators handle their respective forums. Wait, let me speak for the AKA forum! He hasn't had a problem with how the AKA forum is moderated. Until HE says there is a problem, I know the AKA Avenue will remain with the status quo.

With a moderator who creates her own rules? Wait this isn't the AKA forum and it's not about AKAs...we're talking about APhiA. I'm glad you got to vent though.

If you want to create a post on the ave asking a question, knock yourself out. The issue right now that you and I are discussing, is what is your interest in a question posed to members of Alpha Phi Alpha that you just needed to weigh in before the Brothers?

If you weren't so busy trying to instigate, you would see that I asked my soror to refrain too. I bet you missed that part in your eagerness to start something.

Instigate what?? You're having issues reading. She posted something irrelevant after what you said.

Now onto your post. Again, I can post whatever I want, whenever I want, as long as I don't violate the rules. My interest for posting this isn't anyone's business but I'll say it: It felt like the right thing to do. I didn't curse anyone, I didn't attack anyone, nothing. And other folks had weighed in - including your brothers. There wasn't a list of "brothers" that were going to speak before me. I just posted something simple that I think would apply to anyone, anywhere. Now if you don't have interest in what I wrote, don't read it. The rules say that's fine. But I'll post too since the rules say that's fine also.

You're having a real issue with reading comprehension. Go back and read it again. I DID mention, in not as many words, that she is not helping me by posting after I ask you not to. HELLO McFly!

The fact that you continue posting after being asked your interest is showing blatant disrespect. I'm actually more amazed that in your self righteousness, you can't see it.

Umm, since you're having issues understanding what I write:

1) The rules allow me to post based on guidelines.
2) My interest in posting in that specific thread had to do with what I felt was right.

If you don't like it, don't read it. I didn't disrespect anyone and I don't see this forum's moderators saying that either. If you felt disrespected, then so be it.

Yep. You bet!

Doesn't matter. It's Phirst Pham...you wouldn't understand THAT EITHER!

:D

AKA_Monet 03-22-2005 02:58 PM

Rudey,

Honey, you need to PM me and I will attempt to explain it to you...

If you continue it will get "ugly" in here and I think folks are really exhausted from all of that...

Yes, your rights may be violated and this is a "free country" website with the "freedom of speech" clause in it... However, at this time, you would want to PM me...

Because clearly, folks are "not feeling" whatever you have to say regardless of how correct you think you are, even with provable facts in tow...

Irrelevant much? Again, this gentleman was asking me about why I posted what I posted about the Alpha Phi Alpha thread. I answered that.

As for whether y'all stick together because of whatever, that's fine too. It's not against the rules and I don't have any interest in it.

Yeah because we all know how up in arms YOU get when a moderator asks for someone not in the org to stop responding.

Now if I said you're being disrespectful, and you keep committing the action, you're disrespecting me. You no longer can say you're not disrespecting anyone. I've informed you that you are. What you are now doing is letting everyone see that you don't care that you are being disrespectful.

What does my posting have to do with whether an AKA and an APhiA are "phamily"?

Have you prayed today?

You aren't an Alpha. No one asked you to address our concerns. No one asked your opinion.

Stop using the Lord to cover your being disingenuos.

It takes 2 to tango and I just want you to understand me. I've heard some use a philosophy of turning the other cheek when they are slapped.

I will pray and you can slap me.

One problem for you Rudey. I'm a grown man. I don't slap anyone. If you end up getting hit, there's not enough prayer in the world that can save you. Just be glad that I'm all prayed up.

Now this is the last time I'm going to let you know that you're being disrespectful.
