Okay, I just gotta let it out because my husband couldn't give a whit about March Madness.

After seeing Bucknell top KU (thank god they cut over because my market was playing the very boring Miss/Stanford game--yawn) I'm starting to think UoP might even have a chance tomorrow in round 2. Would it be really tacky if I skipped the wedding shower I'm supposed to be at to watch the Pacific/U-Dub game????

Oh, and if you have to ask...trash talk is ALWAYS allowed in a hoops thread!

I have been known to hang up on folx for calling while watching a game.

When it comes to college hoops, I am all about the ACC (sue me I am a Virginia bred girl). When it comes to ACC, there is only one team for me--The Duke Blue Devils.

Note to self...go and find the Duke earrings I bought 2 years ago.

Mr. 1228 is all about the Big East when it comes to hoops. I guess being from Montreal, that was the closest conference to him.


Folx in my workplace (in Bellingham, WA) are pumped because U-Dub made it to the dance. One of my coworkers has them going all the way...I didn't want to bust his bubble.

I think the entire state of Kansas is in a complete and total state of shock.I'm not too far from Lawrence and I have several friends who are KU grads and I think every one of them called my house last night.

oh man the Bucknell/Kansas game was awesome. there is this wench of a woman who LOVES Kansas but haha Bucknell won. Hopefully (keeping fingers crossed, NC State can beat UConn and then Bucknell can beat Wisconsin and then we have a chance to advance again because we can beat Bucknell).

i've done my own dream board and i have UNC winning it all. i'm not the hugest carolina fan but they've played very well this year and deserve it. also, my best friend's cousin (who is 12) is dying of a rare form of cancer and she is the BIGGEST carolina fan. i think it would be nice to see carolina win it all before she dies (they're only giving her a few more weeks).

Bracket-shmacket....come on ladies, tell me how much you LOOOOOOOOVE Milwaukee going to the sweet sixteen!

And holy cow, who wasn't on pins and needles for the end of the WV-Wake Forest game????

At least I moved up in the GC hoops tourney. But what is going on with my ACC boys. I can't believe that Wake went out like that! :(

oh I KNOW! i went to high school with Eric Williams (Wake Forest) and i was screaming at the tv.....my friends were like: "call up Eric, tell him to play better."

i'm just really excited for NC State.....first time in 16 years we're going to the sweet 16. Julius Hodge is my hero. i found this quote he said comparing the difference between NYC and Raleigh, NC.

i was upset over NC State losing but they made it pretty far so i got nothing but love for Julius Hodge

and then the Villanova game.....makes me so angry. he DID NOT travel.....bah, Villanova would have won if they counted that basket. even the sports casters were like: wtf, they never call traveling this late in a game....i mean cmon, there were 11 seconds left. it's just so sheisty.

i have Carolina (although i'm not a fan by any means) going to the final 4 with Illinois. I had WFU in there and Duke but yeah they suck and i hate them for messing up my brackets

aphibeach, I totally understand being mad about BS calls so late in a close game. We lost our softball playoff game because we were down by one, 2 outs, and they called our player out at second when he overran the bag but the 2nd baseman never tagged him, she just stood on the base. You just don't make a call like that so late in an important game.

That was the best spring break EVAR! I took a road trip with my roomie and boyfriend. We drove to Mammoth and skied two days, drove to tahoe and skied the next day (that April there were 21 feet of snow with a few inches of fresh powder in the Sierras), drove to our beach house in oregon and spent the night then to Seattle to my mom's. Practically my whole chapter came up to Seattle and stayed with us for the final four and UCLA's big win!!! It was so amazing and so much fun. Of course, we couldn't get tickets so we watched the game in a bar across the street from the Kingdome with a bunch of other UCLA fans. What a great trip!

I tried to get tickets the year the Final 4 was in Seattle. I found out a few years later (when we started dating) that Mr. 1228 tried to get tickets too.

I want Michigan State to lose so bad...I hate to say this...

After my poor bruins lost I was rooting for Arizona and Michigan State. I guess one of the two is good. I have a Spartan on my committee. I am sure she is happy.

My mom is in Portland now. She moved while I was in law school. I miss visiting Seattle.

I'm a Big Ten girl through and through. I shed a tear about three minutes into the second half when NC went on that 8-point run. I knew it was over for my beloved Badgers. That's okay, my ringtone is still "On Wisconsin".

But daymn....LOVED that double OT Michigan State win! WOO-HOO!

My husband is seriously worried that I'm turning into a sports freak. I keep trying to tell him it's just the madness baby!
