Those of you that grew up in the late 80's early 90's.
Ok, when I was little I always said i'd end up growing up one day and marrying Debbie Gibson. It was my dream to have her sing me to sleep at least once before I die......none of that shit happened.
Anyhow, who was your favorite 80's/early 90's artist? http://img.epinions.com/images/opti/...resized200.JPG http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/44...autogibson.jpg http://wwws.mmjbdata.com/graphics/ww...22024eb250.jpg http://www.mp3.com/images/artist/pic...10277gng99.jpg This one was taken in August 2004!!!! She's still hot for her age, she might be the baddest older milf out there. http://media.mnginteractive.com/medi...804_gibson.jpg And yea, I still know all the words to "Only in my dreams", "Electric Youth" and "Lost in your eyes" Ooooooonnnllly in my Dreeeeeeemmmmmmzzz, as real as it may seeeemm....it was only in myyyyy Dreeeeeeaaaaammms.... :D Edited to add: I still might get her one day if I can catch her on her way down. |

 I was never a big Debbie Gibson fan myself, I liked Amy Grant and NKOTB! |
You're right...my bad. Switch that one out with Electric Youth. ;)

I thought Tiffany did "I Think We're Alone Now'"
I was in love with these boys: http://www.gasolinealleyantiques.com...rr-newkids.JPG And these boys too: http://www.a-cd.de/images/articles/colormebadnow.jpg And while he wasn't a music artist, I was in love with him and had his poster (from BOP! magazine) on my wall: http://www.kidstv.34sp.com/savedbythebell/zack.jpg ETA: Ooops! FabSpice beat me to it. :) |
I have a ton of favorites, but here are a few

Well, I forgot to add the guy I always wanted to be like other than my dad when I was little......
I was all about the good vibrations video and hitting cement blocks swinging around in a gym. ;) http://web.chi.es/isidro/publicidad/images/marky.jpg http://www.whiteasian.com/markcalv.jpg |
My crushes in the late 80's/early 90's (they're not all musical artists but oh well):
Jonathan Brandis http://www.younghollywoodhof.com/drina/brandis.jpg River Phoenix (I think there's starting to become a pattern with me crushing on celebrities that ended up dying tragically) http://www.myvideostore.com/content/...er_phoenix.jpg All of NKOTB except for Danny http://www2.expecto-patronum.net/gelb/bbnewkids.jpg |
I loved Debbie Gibson and Tiffany!! They've been on a few talk shows lately. I think they're trying to both make a comeback!!
When I was little I had the biggest crush on Ricky Schroeder (now Rick Schroeder) on Silver Spoons!!! He was my first celebrity crush! |

Did Debbie dish out an email adress or anything? I'd love to send some fan mail and let her she's still got it. |

Is it me or does she kind of look like Brittney Spears in this pic?

A friend from college took dancing and singing lessons with Deborah Gibson long before she was famous and became Debbie. I think that she looks a little orange in that picture, an orange Britney. |
I can't picture MW going to church!!! Can you imagine if you just saw him in church one day!!
And no, I'm fairly certain Debbie (Deborah) Gibson gave out an email address. I think she did say that she's married now and doing some broadway shows. Sounded like she was STILL trying to get rid of her 1980's good girl image. This was maybe a few months back, so it might not be the most up-to-date. |

When I was 10, I totally wanted to be Mrs. Joseph Mulrey McIntyre. Of course, so did half my grade!
|
what was the TV show with the kid made of mud that Milli Vanilli sang on?
Oh- and I miss Eerie Indiana. |
can someone post a picture of eddie furlong. he was definitely my favorite.
|
I've never really had celebrity crushes. But when I was in 1st grade (?) I was totally in love with Joe from NKOTB! All my friends liked Jordan, which was fine with me 'cause I got Joe all to myself.
**I got to spend 3 days with Devon Sawa. Unfortunately I didn't develop a crush on him until about a year after that!** |

Just to clarify, my pretend boyfriend was George, not Andrew. Thought I'd clear that up. Thanks.

While all y'all liked them foofoo peeps..
I was drooling over the bad boys.
http://members.aol.com/SkidRow97/ripped_1.gif I thought Sebastian Bach was soooooo hot. Then it was weird watching him on the Gilmore Girls. Watched "I Married Sebastian Bach" on VH1 the other week...it's so weird to see him as a dad to teenagers. |

I remember the "Hold On" video..she wore that really hideous black hot air balloon while Chynna and Wendy strutted their stuff in those skimpy black dresses while they walked down the boardwalk. Oh, the wonders of gastric bypass surgery. |
I loved Jordan from NKOTB... I also LOOOOVED Tiffany, loved Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation, and my very first concert was, dare I say it ? Milli Vinilli... yes, now it's VERY funny, but back then my friends were jealous... :D I have some Wilson Philips on my Ipod.

Well, if we're talking about the bad boys....

I went to see Milli Vanilli too!!
Is this thread making anyone else feel old?????? Cashmoney- Look on the bright side, Debbie Gibson did seem interested in getting rid of her "good girl" image, so there may definitely be hope for you!! |

***gasps for air*** That was a great episode. However my heart belonged fully to Joey McIntyre and the New Kids on the Block. Even...what, 15 years...later, when I read that Joey had gotten married, a little piece of me died. And just last week I flipping through the channels on my living room tv and landed on VH1 Classic. The digital cable thing on the bottom said it was playing the We are the 80's block, so I thought there might be something interesting on. The next video was New Kids on the Block "I'll be loving you forever." Needless to say I jumped up and down and yelled to my roommate in her room. We stood there watching the video in disbelief. I felt like I was in third grade again. I wanted to swoon. Jordan Knight had quite a falsetto! And I never quite realized how little Joey was. Completely made my night! |
