Question on Starter Jackets
 

Which team did you use to own?

I used to own a Raiders' Starter jacket. Didn't like the team, but it was a bad ass.

Was it only a regional thing? I thought it was one of those fads that was all over the country.

I didn't have the jacket, but had the raiders cap (they were banned from our school b/c of fighting

NY Knickerbockers! I lived on Long Island at the time, and yes, those jackets were the shiznit.

I always imagined you to have really big biceps and wear baggy starter jackets. And I imagined bobby to have skinny arms and wear tight skirts.

I'm pretty sure that most major cities had this going on...I had a Charlotte Hornets one. It was sweeeet.

I had UNC Tarheals baby!! That was when I went through a phase of being OBSESSED with NC.
I also had a sping Charlotte Hornets jacket.

Other members of my family had NY Rangers and Colorado Rockies.

I wanted a Charlotte Hornets one soooo bad.

And yeah, I don't think this was a regional fad by any means.

i had a 49er jacket that was reversible. mostly red and gold on one side, and white with some red and gold on the other. it sucked though, cause when my mom washed it, the white turned pink :( i didn't wear it after that.

I didn't have one, but if I did it would've been 49ers, cause well, I love them, and when this fad was going on, they actually won games. ;)

I had a Boston Celtics one and a Patriots one. My brother had a Dalla Cowboys one.

i had notre dame and my brother had colorado... i have no idea why we had those teams!
werent starter jackets like $100 back then? now they sell them at wal mart!

I had an Iowa Hawkeyes Starter jacket... surprisingly I stopped wearing it when I was a Junior in HS and was dating an ISU freshman.

Charlotte Hornets. Like PM Mama, not because I liked the team, but because I liked the colors. :o
