Attack in Iran?
What the hell is going on today? Something about a missile attack in Dailam?
|
|
hmm, that's where that new nuclear reactor was suppose to go online in a few months.... I call b.s., they probably just did something stupid and caused an explosion.
|
Hopefully it's not a nuclear meltdown or something big.
|
A lot of possibilities here and not many that are good.
|
Israel maybe? Just a guess, but that's how they dealt with the Iraqis and their nuclear weapons program when no one else was strong enough to do so.
|
False alarm, no attacks in Iran.

One of our clients, a Persian (he will correct you if you call him Iranian) who is intimately involved in some of the resistance politics back in Iran told me today that he thought it very well might have been some kind of Iranian resistance, or something of that nature. The political climate in that country is extremely tense from what I understand.

I spoke to my aunt who lives in Tehran on Sunday and she was telling me that the people there have pretty much accepted the fact that there will be an attack by the US in the summer. |

Would they welcome an invasion? Or would we see the same kind of thing that we're seeing in Iraq now? I guess I can be somewhat thankful that I'll be past the draft age this summer. |

No. They would not welcome an invasion. You guys just don't understand.
Iran's government will not change and the No Mullah Left Behind Act ensures that. -Rudey |

The feeling that I get is that Iran is very much like America is right now -- split into two major factions that don't have a whole lot of middle ground. |
Prior to the Iraq invasion there were high hopes that an invasion would change things in Iran but right now with everything going on over there, peole have lost faith that the US invasion would change much. The Iranian people may be oppressed and hate their government but they will take what they see as the lesser of two evils. Historically, Iran has been a country that has been invaded time and time again, patriotism begins to increase (the Mullahs will have a hand in this as well) and the people will band together against the invading third party.
Some of the Mullahs do fear that they will be thrown out. Through the grapevine I've heard of Mullah's who have sent their wives and families overseas to Europe and Canada and made sure their money is protected so if in the offchance they have to flee they wont lose a cent. |
