Making the Band 3
 

Premiere's March 3 @ 10pm EST

P. Diddy's back with a spankin' new mission: to create an all-girl international super group for this season's Making the Band. Thousands audition in the nationwide search, but only 46 earn the chance to shine for Mr. Combs and boy band powerhouse Johnny Wright. The search isn't what the men had hoped for, however, as Diddy sees few stars among the finalists. Luckily, Johnny feels there are a few diamonds in the rough and 19 are selected to move into the next round. The chosen few move into the house and begin their training.

Diddy enlists celebrity tap dance choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson to keep the girls on their toes. Even after several rehearsals, Diddy can't shake the feeling that something is missing. He travels to Atlanta to continue his search for the perfect performers. In his absence, he assigns a flamboyant housekeeper, Jason, to watch over the girls. Jason rallies the ladies, promising to lead them to victory over the girls from Atlanta. Their determination quickly deteriorates as a firestorm of conflict is unleashed. Shouting matches, threats, catfights and tears erupt as many contestants abruptly depart from the show. Will this Band ever reach the limelight? Only Diddy knows for sure.

if puffy is a music producer, he should know whats hot and what not, and singing groups are not hot.

How come I'm going to watch this?? I think it'll be interesting to see an all girl group come together. I doubt they'll last...:(

I'm thinking about the same timeline P.Diddy gave tha Band : within two years.

I going to watch too! If they don't last, oh well at least I can get a good laugh or two out of the series.

Unfortunately, if people are gonna throw money at him, he's gonna take it.

Is this a joint project with Russell Simmons? That is what I heard.

I missed the premiere so hopefully I'll be able to catch a re-run.

I saw what I presumed was the last 15 minutes of the premiere. Basically P. Diddle Diddle was saying he wasn't feeling the girls, but they picked the housemates anyway.

:( This show is definitely a guilty pleasure for me. I think it's the worst idea for a reality show, but I have to watch!! What's wrong with me??? LOL This girl-group thing is such a bad idea, and why in the auditons every chick was trying to sing Fallen?? That was painful!! :eek:

It's Interesting. I can't wait to see the finale.

Your guilty pleasure is not worse than mine: The Ashlee Simpson show. :o I even had the nerve to download one of her songs for my ringers:o. I have missed a few calls trying to sing along with her behind. Now what the H*** is going on?

I like the girl who is short with real long brown hair. I can't remember her name, but I know she was the one who told ole girl "And I don't like you, so walk away" HA HA yes she did!!!!

Aubrey is cool she just looks like she does too much. Her hair, her clothes, her makeup.

I like another girl too, but I'm going to spare the description of her and just go look on the website for names.

So I went to MTV.com and just watched a clip from the last episode where puffy is cutting girls based on their ability to dance. From the clips I have seen on the web it seems the show is more about TV ratings and less about the girls or the band. I guess drama sells!

I'm not surprised that he didn't make a band. None of the girls really stood out to me. But that was a waste of everyones time!!! All those weeks and you have to go back home!:mad:
