Alpha Phi Chapter Houses
Borrowed from the ADPi thread
I thought it would be interesting to have our own thread of APhi houses. Since there may not be users on the board from each chapter, try to do your whole state or province/country :) Texas Tech - Gamma Iota http://www.techaphi.com/ourchapter/house/ University of Texas - Omega http://www.texasalphaphi.org/omega/house/ http://www.texasalphaphi.org/images/accent50.jpg University of North Texas - Gamma Eta http://www.aphiunt.com/html/newhouse/newhouse.html http://www.alphaphi.org/news/08-14-04_UNT.html http://www.aphiunt.com/images/newhouse_5.jpg http://www.aphiunt.com/images/newhouse_6.jpg Midwestern State University - Gamma Omega I don't believe that this campus has houses, let us know if you know if that has changed. Texas A&M Commerce - Delta Beta http://www.koyote.com/users/leia/aphi/APHI.html http://orgs.tamu-commerce.edu/greekl...nhellenic2.asp They have some kind of house, but I can't find a picture online. St. Mary’s University - Iota Beta http://www.ibalphaphi.org/index.htm http://www.alphaphionline.com/iotabeta/ I don't believe that this campus has houses, let us know if you know if that has changed. |

Thanks for the full views of the houses at Texas and Texas Tech -- the smaller ones definitely didn't do them justice.
Interesting facts about the Omega house is that when it was built in 1934 it was the first building on the UT campus to be built specifically as a sorority house. The original structure housed 22 women, but after several renovations it holds 45. (the third floor was added, it was originally a two story ranch structure - the wonders of architecture.) |
I recently went to Austin ans visited the house for the first time...the girls were really nice and showed me around. Since indeed St. Mary's does not/ cannot have houses :(

http://www.alphaphionline.com/iotaiota/ Located on a full city block on 23rd Street between F and G Streets is Townhouse Row, which opened in the Fall of 2003. It consists of 5 sororities and 3 fraternities and was designed specifically for Greek organizations. Each townhouse features a finished basement, large living and dining areas, a full kitchen, and sleeps between 24-30 members. http://gwired.gwu.edu/cms2/index.gw/...2006/Site_ID/7 ETA: Pictures of the townhouse - http://community.webshots.com/album/303528687afVBZW |
Beta Theta at U of British Columbia
Shout out to the Canadian APhis! My best friend and former chapter president at Omega for two terms is a transplanted Canadian (she still has a lot of family there and gets Aero bars shipped to her :) )
Beta Theta at U of British Columbia After years lacking a Chapter room to meet in, Alpha Phi now shares a building with the other six sororities on campus. It is located on the UBC campus beside the Fraternity Village. It is very exciting to have our own chapter room to decorate with Alpha Phi colours and symbols. The building also has quad style apartment on the three floors above the chapter rooms. There are 6 Alpha Phi members living in two of the quads. To see Panhellenic House and more information about the building, visit the VAPA Website - http://www.vapa.bc.ca/forever_friend...ome/index.html http://www.vapa.bc.ca/forever_friend...iles/front.jpg |
George Mason doesn't have Panhellenic housing yet do they? They didn't when I was there.
Oh yeah the UBC-Beta Theta pix, the Alpha Phi Chapter room is the second set of doors from the left |

Re: Iota Iota at George Washington
I actually drove by this on a recent trip to wash DC, and the building looks really nice. All the doors have the groups letters next to them...i never imagined how spacious they are inside though!!
