Super Bowl XXXIX Predictions

I predict that New England will win 30-13.

I also predict that there will be no nip-slip.

DeltAlum 02-06-2005 02:05 PM

I predict that whichever team has the most points at the end of the game will be declared the winner.

That's a bold prediction. I'm going to hold you to it.

With Paul Macartney playing during the halftime show, I hope that there isn't a wardrobe malfunction this year:eek:

I hope the Eagles get their butts kicked, leaving the ex in a bad mood all week, thus allowing me to sleep easier. :D

GO PATS!!!! Any team who has a player with an ass like Tom Brady's definitely deserves to win. Plus, I'm a Ravens fan, so when it comes own to the Eagles and Patriots, Patriots will always win!!!

That's a sexist statement. Besides, we all know that what makes a team deserve to win is their cheerleaders' breasts.

I predict the Patriots will win 24-21!

See! I was right. New England had the most points, and they won.

PS, why did that lady above think Brady is an ass?

Haha if that's about me, I don't think Tom Brady is an ass.. I think he has about the finest ass I've seen on a man. :D

I know. Just taking a cheap shot. If you overlook one or two words, it changes the whole meaning of the sentence.

Just having a little fun at your expense.

I thought he was clearly the best QB on the field last night.

He was solid last night - I thought he would get the MVP again, it was nice to see Branch get rewarded (especially after the game he had last year; 21 catches in the last two Super Bowls).

The game was about as close as I thought it would be; crazy that the Pats have now won 3 out of 4, and crazier that Boston is subuded about it. I think the Red Sox took all the emotion out of the sports fans in the city.

i was surprised by how quiet it was on my street last night. but at the same time i expected it, since have the city's streets were shut down and the riot cops were out in full force again. i know a lot of streets by me were closed to cars and i'm sure others were too.

Now that I'm out in the burbs, there is never really a big celebration for anything. Even when the Sox won, there wasn't much of anything.

Last year I remember there were people celebrating outside my apartment building until early morning. This year, I didn't see any of that or hear about that anywhere else.

It's kind of too bad that people have become so accustomed to this. You don't see runs like this very often in pro sports.

Today is the worst kind of day . . . the improbable cover, but your team still loses the game. so I won all my bets, got to laugh at everyone else who called me a retard for taking the six and a half, but still got to see philly lose a game that was theirs for the taking. Rough.

Peaches-n-Cream 02-07-2005 02:13 PM

I predict that I won't care who wins although I do agree with the comments about Tom Brady. :p

A few years ago, prior to a Bronco's Superbowl win, we media types were having a meeting at the Denver Cop Shop to talk about pool and unilateral coverage for the welcome home parade and celebration.

The meeting just ahead in the same room -- which ran over a little -- was contingency planning for potential rioting or violence following the game.

They (the police brass) were doing a quick recount of where they would have command posts and where their reaction units would be and how they expected the crowds to react and where the hotspots and movement would be.

It was amazing. Listening to radio reports and watching TV coverage after the game -- they were exactly right. Almost scary.
