Where did you pref?
 

Forgive me--I stole this from a few other boards but I thought it was a fun question!

I preffed at AOII(of course) and Zeta Tau Alpha

Both were BEAUTIFUL!!

I preffed Chi-O, DG and Theta...it was a tough choice between my 2 favorites, but I loved Chi-O!!!

I preffed Alpha Xi and Zeta.

I pref'ed AXO (of course) and Sigma Kappa...

Both houses had beautiful pref nights and my school (back in the 1980s) allowed gifts to take home on pref night. I got pin pillows from both houses, but I remember Sigma Kappa's pillow was cross stitched with a satin backing...very professional and beautiful!!!

I prefed AOII, ZTA, and Phi Mu. They were all very nice parties. But of course, I feel in love with AOII!

I preffed Alpha Sigma Tau and Phi Sigma Sigma. Both were nice but ya know...

DDD, Kappa, Chi-O

They were all great, but I went with DDD and love it!

I missed my Pref. but if i didn't i would have preffed at AXiD and i think Pi Phi

i preffed tridelta and sigma delta tau and i loved them both! i actually would have also preffed ZTA but we were only allowed to narrow it down to two.

I preffed Alpha Phi and Gamma Phi Beta. Looks like I was destined to be part of the Syracuse Triad! ;)

I only did AST (haha we only had AST and a local so there wasn't much choice!)

I preffed Alpha Phi and DG, both beautiful pref parties with awesome food, and I fell even more in love with Alpha Phi!

I went to Phi Mu's pref...not a dry eye in the house. I didn't sign my bid card (long story) but in the end it worked out great because I ended up as a founding sister of AGD. Thos Phi Mu's almost had me though. They are a great chapter on campus..

what the heck is a pin pillow?

I preffed AOII and AGD. I was teary eyed at the AGD pref, but I BAWLED at AOII. It was a tough decision up until pref night. I will say, AGD was hard to turn down, but in the end I couldnt turn away from AOII!!!

I love at our pref, we do a Senior Speech, which is basically just a senior talks about her experienes in the sorority. When I was preffing, I gt so teary during the speech and realized I so had to be a part of Alpha Phi. This year I'm pretty close to the girl who gave it, and I was definitely crying. It definitely seperated Alpha Phi from DG's pref.

i preffed chi omega and sigma sigma sigma... i didn't pref. ast but received a snap bid from them.

I only preffed Delta Gamma, but that was because I was going through colony recruitment :)

A pin pillow is a pillow where you keep your...pin! :)

I have an AXiD pin pillow w/ my pledge pin, both of my ribbons, both of my Quills, and my recognition Quill on there.

I went through colony recruitment as well, but Tri Delta did not host a preference for us. And I didn't make it to pref round when I went through formal recruitment my sophomore year, but it worked out for the best with Tri Delta.

I didn't. But I did cry after recieving the phone call after being in essence "snap bidded" by Tau Delta.

Edit! I did cry at our pref party this year...LOTS of tears, because I had been a Rho Chi and had missed everything and everyone and was just so damned glad to be with my girls again.

When I went through my freshman year I preffed Sigma Sigma Sigma and Alpha Chi Omega. But because of health reasons, I didn't end up signing a bid. When I went through again, I preffed Phi Mu and Alpha Sigma Alpha
Kinda random that I experienced very different groups both times. But my heart was won over at Phi Mu's pref, I was matched with the president of the chapter for a lot of the time I was at their pref and I just connected. Even better, my Gamma Chi ended up being Phi Mu!!!

I didn't go through formal. I knew I wanted to be DZ and only a DZ, so I went informal. At one point I considered AGD but all the involved girls at my school were DZ's. When I cheered we had 2 DZ's and it has been the same ever since, every sorority girl who has been on the cheer team has been a DZ, student council, and other org's.

Phigirl04 what school do you go to? Where in MI are you? I'm in Auburn Hills :) Go PISTONS!

Chi Omega & ADPi

Same as I, Chi O and ADPi.

I knew I wanted ADPi though from first moment I walked out their door.

Just as a heads up, here's what some other GCers had to say about where they preffed:

But I went to preference parties at Alpha Delta Pi and Delta Delta Delta, and am so proud to be an ADPi!

I preffed Phi Mu(obviously), AOII, and AGD(those are the only 3 we have on campus). But, I knew where I wanted to be from day -1 =)

I attended alpha xi delta, alpha chi omega, and zeta tau alphas parties. I was torn on what to do but after I bawled my eyes out at Alpha Xi's party I knew where I had to go!!:)

I preffed Alpha Gam (of course) and Chi Omega...two are great sororities and rushed me hard, but I knew from the first night of rush that Alpha Gam was my home!

I preffed Chi O, Kappa, and DG. I'm not one to cry, but I was in tears before I even got into the main room at DG. It wasn't anything that was said, just the genuine smiles on the sisters faces.

i preffed sigma kappa, agd and phi mu. by pref nite i wanted sigma kappa or nothing, so i suicided sk, not knowing that since i made it to pref nite as a legacy i had a bid. luckily it all worked out and i was a happy little dove. ;)

Funny enough... I didn't cry at either. I actually liked the AST one better, so... it was a hard decision. But, I knew most of the sisters of Phi Sig, and I already loved them.... so pref didn't matter to me.

Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Delta Pi, and Gamma Phi Beta in that order. I would have been absolutely thrilled with either of my first two, although my heart was always in ZTA

I preffed DZ and CW and, although I put DZ first on my card, I would have been thrilled with either house.

Now, of course, I couldn't imagine being anything else!

That's somewhat funny - I still vividly remember one woman who sat in the bid room, sobbing, for hours, because she couldn't decide which sorority she wanted to place first!

I think I've already stated that I preffed ADP and KKG. As much as I love and respect Kappa, I knew that I belonged to ADPi from Day One!

This may sound silly, but was anyone else influenced by a sorority's colors? Had Phi Mu been on campus at the time, I would have been in serious troubles!

I preffed at AXD and KKG. That was a TOUGH decision.

haha someone asked if anyone was influenced by a sororities colors and i totally thought about the colors. haha when i was thinking about each sorority during rush i would be like "oh but they have adorable colors! the presents for that sorority must be so cute!" stuff like that. i'm not crazy about my colors but i've found ways to make them look cute. trideltas colors are silver, gold, and blue, so instead of using solid blue and god, i use baby blue and baby yellow, that kinda thing. you can't go wrong with pastels!
