I couldn't imagine a formal date wearing this, let alone a girl at a high school prom.

That's not a prom dress - that's a jumper! And she forgot her shirt!

KillarneyRose 01-25-2005 06:42 PM

Does she have it on backward?

Senusret I 01-25-2005 06:55 PM

Hell no!

Lady Pi Phi 01-25-2005 07:07 PM

Maybe those strap things are supposed to go all the way across and the model is just a ho? ;)

Yikes! If my daughter thought she would be wearing the dress to prom she'd have another thing coming!

Taualumna 01-25-2005 07:21 PM

Would schools allow a girl dressed like that INTO the dance itself?

WCUgirl 01-25-2005 07:35 PM

Even in my single college days I would not have worn that dress.

For $495 you'd have to give me a bit more fabric than that.

AKA_Monet 01-25-2005 08:02 PM

And there's no sex in The Champagne Room...

Whatever...

And her boobs are enhanced in the photo...

That's what I thought. What a dumb whore.

BirthaBlue4 01-25-2005 08:18 PM

I would beat her alive just for THINKING about asking to wear that string.

Amen to that!!!

Thats just distasteful.........reminds me of some of Lil Kim's attire in the past....though I havent seen her recently.

ThetaPrincess24 01-25-2005 08:55 PM

I mean how would you dance in that thing without the nipples popping out? Does she use tape? GLue stick? I mean seriously even when walking around how would you keep your boobs from flopping around?

They look like suspenders.

kddani 01-25-2005 09:29 PM

most girls in high school don't have the boobs to wear that.... not that you should wear it with boobs b/c they're probably fall out.

LMAO at does she have it on backwards... certainly looks that way!

James 01-25-2005 09:38 PM

A senior in high school doesn't have a full grown set of breasts yet? Why would they get bigger?

Most people I know didn't have much of a chest in high school. They didn't get it until college. In high school, I wore a small B cup. Halfway through college that changed to a large C, small D.

Many many women go on the pill in college, and that increases your breast size. Also most women put on a little weight in college, and some goes to the boobs. For me it was a combo of the pill and gaining about 10 pounds, which I actually needed. I was too skinny in HS and looked much better with a little more weight.

If you did a study of the breast size of your high school classmates and compared to during/after college, you'd see a pretty big difference.

What guy wouldn't love to conduct a study like that?

"What's the matter? Can't you buy her a whole dress?"

I actually didn't know that. Thanks.

(looks for funding for the study . . . )

Then again, most of us probably would have been in fear of a serious talk with standards for that one.

Munchkin03 01-25-2005 10:41 PM

Hoes in tri-state area codes...

Y'all, there are some really trashy girls who live in the tri-state area. Of course they would jump at the chance to buy some skeezy "dress" just because it was for sale in Manhattan.

tinydancer 01-25-2005 11:24 PM

I'm thinking NO - not only NO but HELL NO!!

kddani 01-25-2005 11:26 PM

hell, the escort in cashmoney's thread has on more clothes/ is better covered than this kid

Peaches-n-Cream 01-26-2005 01:32 AM

I wouldn't be surprised if I saw some girls wearing that as a prom dress in a few months. Nothing shocks me anymore.

Jill1228 01-26-2005 05:24 AM

Lil Kim wanna be?

What she said! I showed Mr. 1228 that dress and being the perv that he can be at times, said:
"I'd love my date to wear it, but I would KILL my daughter if she even THOUGHT about wearing that outfit"

What type of self respecting Momma would let her child go out wearing that?????

oh my....that's just tacky.
expensive, but tacky

LXAAlum 01-26-2005 02:22 PM

Ummmm....no.

First of all, no WAY would I spend $400+ on a PROM dress - wedding dress, yes, but NOT the prom. Give me a break!

Secondly, should my daughter somehow come into her own money to buy THIS dress in question....I hope she enjoys prom night stuck to the couch at home held firmly in place by both her mother and me. That's as far as she'd get. Oh...and a shawl....queen bed comforter sized shawl.

Third...any parent who is "proud" their daughter WOULD wear this dress to prom needs IMO to be stripped of all parental rights, because they surely aren't practicing parental responsibilities!

First reaction of the photo was "it has to be on backwards" or either that it is a "FM" dress.

GeekyPenguin 01-26-2005 02:28 PM

I know quite a few women who spent upwards of $400 on their prom dress - mine would have been if I didn't have an employee discount. However, it had considerably more fabric than that. :)

I would let my daughters wear something slightly revealing - like a slit up to mid-thigh, a deep v-neck - I mean, the prom is a time to feel special and beautiful and all that. However, I think they need a dress that permits them to wear both a bra and underwear. ;)

Rudey 01-26-2005 02:29 PM

Does it matter to you if she looks like a ho, regardless of the fact that prom dresses fall off at the end of the night anyway?

I think that you should wear that dress when you and the BF are with his parents ;)

It would look nice next to the Stations :D. Bwah, I am laughing just picturing that.

Out of curiousity, I looked at their site and while they have some decent styles, they look really cheaply made. But I can relate to Munchkin's comment of girls who are all "OMG it's kewl because it comes from THE BIG CITY."

We Catholic girls are known to be showy. ;)

KSig RC 01-26-2005 05:20 PM

i'm pretty sure i'd let all of your daughters wear that - it'd look great on the desk chair or in the backseat

I am LOVING that website and will submit it to my friend that keeps insisting I find the bridesmaid dress for her wedding(maybe then she will see I have no time on my hands...and when I do, its well spent posting on GC). Hours of entertainment.
