I'm so nervous for my Phila. Eagles

Well folks,

I was very nervous for the Eagles but they pulled it out today (Yes, they beat the Vikings!) and now they have to get ready to take on their next opponents. I'm always so excited for my "Eagles" during this time of the year.

Well all of the Redskin fans at my job won't be teasing me on Tuesday. Yes, 90% of the teachers, administration, and staff are Redskin fans and they give me a hard time.

I've always been an Eagles fan because I'm from Northern Delaware and a lot of people from Northern Delaware go with Phila. teams.

*Grudgingly* Congratulations. :(

SeriousSigma22 01-17-2005 03:09 PM

I'm still even more nervous because we have to go up against the Falcons.

Thanks LadyGreek!

I know what you mean. I am actually relieved that the Vikings are out of it.

Philly fan living in ATL

AGGGHHHH! It is not easy this week living in Atlanta and being a die hard Eagles fan.

But it will be so so easy next week after a Philly win!!!!!!!!

GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!

Ivy2Love 01-18-2005 03:16 AM

feeling your pain

You aren't the only one nervous. Not a die-hard Eagles fan, but I have cheered for that team every year since McNabb became starting QB. The regular season goes great. But the transformation during the post-season blows my mind.

Hopefully this is the year. Go Eagles!

Gina1201 01-18-2005 10:33 AM

This year NEEDS to be the year of McNabb!! I'm rooting for the Eagles ALL the way!! :D

SeriousSigma22 01-18-2005 08:41 PM

Folks,

I know that all teams deserve a shot at receiving those wonderful rings, however, the Eagles are really deserving of that chance and I love McNabb, Westbrook and the rest of the guys. The road to the Superbowl won't be an easy one.

SeriousSigma22 01-21-2005 07:36 PM

Okay now I'm really getting nervous because of the snow, the timing, and I'm really afraid that my birds are going to choke. What am I saying? I'm just very, very, very anxious for the Eagles!

Serioussigma22:cool:

Ivy2Love 01-23-2005 05:43 PM

Put this game away!

Why do the Eagles have just a four-point lead at half-time? I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself but this doesn't look too good. I know a win is a win (should it come to pass), but I want a blowout!

C'mon Eagles!

SeriousSigma22 01-23-2005 07:11 PM

Well folks,

The Eagles did it! 27 to 10 over the Atlanta Falcons. Yes, the Eagles are heading to the Superbowl! Now, I'm even more nervous!

SeriousSigma22 01-23-2005 07:20 PM

It is the Eagles' Time! It has been 24 long years since the Eagles have traveled down this road! The only thing that they can say is "Bring it on!"

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

I'm soooooo happy for this day. After all those disappointments in the NFC championships, this is a beautiful day. I'm especially proud of Donovan McNabb. The man has great talent and major nerve for hanging in there.

Welcome to Florida, and Jacksonville! :D

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!

Knowledge1922 01-24-2005 12:42 PM

Yeah, I know. I've been a TRUE COWBOY FAITHFUL since1975. And will always be. Funny thing is, my boyfriend is a 6'ers and Eagle fan. I should send him back to Philly. :p

SeriousSigma22 02-02-2005 09:45 PM

Sorhors PearlRuby and Ninjapoodle,

I'm so nervous for team that I don't have the energy to joke about the Superbowl but I'm so glad that you ladies are helping me to calm down and relax. I want the Eagles to go all the way because they are a really good team and it's time for the ring to go to "The City of Brotherly Love!"

Serioussigma:cool:

Go Eagles!

GO COWBOYS!

SeriousSigma22 02-07-2005 08:30 AM

Ninjapoodle,

Congrats to the Patriots! However, it really would've be nice if the second only in history African American Quarterback would have done well at the Superbowl games. I'm hoping for next year.

I still love my Birds! You've got grab Mcnabb! Go #5.

Serioussigma22

Hey, I'm no longer nervous!

All kidding aside, I agree it would have been nice for a brotha'..:) Hope for next year.

It's about time that more Brotha's were recognized as quarterbacks! I'm with Ninjapoodle!

You know I am also a Dallas fan as well. And to make the situation worse my boyfriend is a Redskins fan so we battle back and forth every season. :D Heck, he proclaims he will convert me to a Skins fan but I dont see it happening. I have proved it to him too many times.

I guess you had reason to be nervous, huh, Soror? Tee hee hee. Just kidding. Not really.

As for NinjaPoodle, I'll bet you wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader when you were younger, huh? :)

What kind of fan would I be if I didn't want to be a world-famous Dallas Cowboy’s cheerleader when I was 12 years old? ;)

Since I didn't become a cheerleader, my mother made me a latch-hook carpet with a Cowboys cheerleader on it. I still have it.

Skins?!?
For shame...

Cowboy fans are like Visa, every where you want to be ;)

SeriousSigma22 02-12-2005 04:54 PM

Too Funny!

Folks!

I must say that I've never wanted to be a cheerleader. Yeah, I had a reason to be nervous but there's always next year. Why are those Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders so popular? I just don't get it! My 19 year old nephew is a true blue and white fan of the Cowboys. I think his bedroom is still decorated in blue and white.

On the real note: The Redskins Owner, Dan Snyder, needs to get a life and stop trying to buy a team and have the coaching staff build a team! That man has gone through more coaches and players since he purchased the team from Jack K. Cook's estate.

I've never been a Redskins fan but they have a long way to go to relive their glory days of the big 80s. I moved to the Greater Washington area in 1993 and the Redskins have gone through four coaches and a bunch of players. What's up with that formula?
