The kind of girl you'd want to marry??
In your opinion is there a difference between the kind of girl you would like to marry and girls that you just want to mess around with?????
Here is why I'm asking..... my x wants to get stuff out of his "system" and is going out with different girls... I got advice from this really nice lady who told me that we still loved each other and these girls mean nothing to him. She also said that I'm the type of girl that he and others look for to marry, because I don't have a bad reputation...blah, blah, blah. I love my x a lot, but I'm not going to sit and wait for him, so we'll see what happens. Ok, enough about me... But, do you guys really look at girls and think that she is the wife type/not the wife type? |
Definitly.
I know what kind of girl I'll marry, and I know what kind of girl I won't marry. I think I may have met like 3 girls that would fall into the 'marrying' type, and all the other girls I've met on campus would fall in to the 'no way in hell'-but I would still have some fun with them. |
He's getting stuff out of his system? Is that seriously the best thing he could think of to say?
Ok, I'm not a man-hater, I promise, but it sounds to me, that this guy is NOT the type of guy YOU should marry. |
I would only marry a Chi O. ;)

Guys say you're the kind of girl they'd want to marry when they're just not into you. It's an excuse, and a pretty lame one at that.

Agreed. That said, there are definitely "the kind of boys I'd marry" and "the kind of boys I'd just mess around with" -- but if I'm breaking up with the former to screw around with the latter, I'm still light years away from being mature enough to get married. I assume the same would be true for guys. I think it's kind of a lame excuse. It's the thing guys say when they want to screw around with other girls and make sure you stay at home having no fun of your own. |
the marrying kind is a euphemism for bisexual and gorgeous, with a massive dowry a la 1492.
also the dude just wanted to do the sex with other girls. whoops, you took it too seriously. |

"...we want a lady in the street but a freak in the bed to say Yeah (yeah)..." Seriously, we want the best of both worlds, someone to entertain us inside and outside of the bedroom. |

Well said. And RUGreek is on the money about the old lady you talked to -- and why are you letting other people tell you what to do with your relationship, anyway? |
Oh hell yeah. You tell girls they are different, you use words like special, you tell them you've never met someone who makes you feel like this...
but in all reality, she's just another stupid girl and you won't be marrying her ass. -Rudey --hahahahaha she'll grow old and be lonely and be used goods hahahahha |

Thats some funny shit. |

A couple of years ago, I found a great book that explains all of this. It's called What Men Want. It was written by 3 young professional guys (a doctor, a lawyer, and an accountant). According to this book, when a guy meets a girl, he can immediately determine if she is a "good for now" girl or "wife material". This book is a great way to see how a man REALLY thinks, this is stuff that he WON'T tell you (examples are 1) with sex, men still believe in the double standard, and 2) women have more power over men than they know).

SOME women have more power over men than they know, not all. ;) |

Eh, not ALL men believe in the double standard, thankfully.

My ex-fiance pulled the same thing on me...except he had a specific person he wanted to sleep with: MY BEST FRIEND!!! I should have known then, but it took me a couple of months to realize that if he was interested in pursuing something with other girls, then he wasn't ready for anything with me. Good luck, and I hope your situation turns out better than mine did. (Although not marrying him was the best decision I ever made!)
