Survivor: Palau

The new season begins next month with 20 new castaways. :D

mmcat 01-08-2005 06:57 PM

haven't they already been there? the whole concept sounds so familiar..

CutiePie2000 01-08-2005 08:49 PM

I think the first season was technically in "Palau Tiga", this one is in regular, garden variety "Palau".

Unregistered- 01-08-2005 09:54 PM

I've actually been to Palau, but mostly not where the castaways will be.

I thought Malaysia wa Pulau Tiga?

CutiePie2000 01-09-2005 12:12 AM

HC? HC?

HC they keep upping the number of castaways? First it was 16 people (2 teams x 8 people).
Then 18 people (remember ALL STARS with 3 teams x 6 people)?

Now it's 20. I guess they need to stretch it out even longer to keep those advertisers happy. Le Sigh.

I stand corrected....
The First Survivor was filmed in PULAU TIGA.
The upcoming one is filmed in PALAU.

i was born on Palau. it's beautiful, there. flower-in-your-hair beautiful.

i could drop one or two lines of info here...but you can google that.

moe.ron 01-09-2005 03:56 PM

Just a little info, Pulau means island in malay/Indonesian.

MeezDiscreet 01-14-2005 12:02 AM

i've met jolanda jones, the lawyer from houston. she should be interesting...think omarosa.

Gina1201 01-22-2005 11:14 PM

The show starts on February 17th

FHwku 02-20-2005 04:27 AM

i didn't care much for the dramatic farewell music when the singing lady got sent home. i don't know her well enough for dramatic soundtrack. i do know her well enough to be glad her singing self got sent packing.

Oh, Abraham is FIONE!!!

Yeah, they got rid of her with the quickness!! We are >>HERE<< about Abraham. I was damn near drooling the entire episode.

CutiePie2000 03-17-2005 04:15 AM

Separated at birth??

I'm a big fan of "QUEER AS FOLK" and I couldn't help noticing how much Jeff (twisted ankle guy).........

Ibrahim is good as gone if he doesn't step up next week. I can't believe they got rid of Angie. She was kickass in all the competitions. James, gets on my nerves but at the same time, he's entertaining. Was it really a shock Willard is gone? That's been a long time coming but he never had to go to tribal.

They really had no choice but to get rid of Angie after Ibrahim won Immunity. I felt bad for her because Ibrahim knew he was as good as gone if he did not get immunity.

CutiePie2000 03-17-2005 06:38 PM

Why has no one mentioned Bobby Jon's immense hotness yet?

I'm so glad he wasn't kicked out...I need something pretty to look at...

I'm surprised that valkyrie hasn't visited and said something about Ibrahim's FINE physique....oh valkyrie, where ARE YOU? LOL :p

I liked Angie too. She was quite the ferocious competitor! I was hoping that James would be the one to go. :(

AGDee 03-24-2005 02:06 AM

Well, they pulled a fast one on HIM, didn't they??? I don't want to spoil it for any Hawaiians who haven't seen it yet, but, I'm really enjoying this season. Things are going so differently than usual and not having a switch or anything to try to keep Things even makes it more interesting.

Dee

BetteDavisEyes 03-24-2005 09:49 PM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I'm gonna miss my favorite redneck/ :(

KDAngel 04-01-2005 05:13 AM

YAY! They finally caught a shark! I'm all about this shark thing. I hope we see more of it. I love the last 2 in Ulong though, so I hope they merge now to get rid of the stupid people in Koror I'm tired of.

So I'm thinking Ian and Tom realized they had to let the other people have a shot. For one so that they'd look like they weren't being control freaks, and two in case they lost they could say- look, you so clearly need me.

madmax 04-01-2005 06:42 PM

I missed that episode. How big was the shark?

vanda 04-01-2005 07:03 PM

Big enough for all of them to eat well but definitely not of Jaws proportions lol

ADPi Conniebama 04-14-2005 09:59 PM

I am a big survivor fan. I love that show. My husband knows not to bother me from 7to 8 on thursday night.

Ooooh I can tell all of the people in the other time zones what happens. Do yall wanna know early? I would if I were you?

The person who was voted off was

do you wanna know? Well, it was his/her time to go. But, it was a great show. I will give you a hint. The pizza didnt change the vote.

AznSAE 04-14-2005 10:26 PM

i was watching this season's survivor until that one team keeps on getting their butts kicked :(.

ADPi Conniebama 04-14-2005 10:38 PM

oh yea the SAE just left last show. He was great though and didnt get voted off what what his name> bobby joe.

He was great.

BetteDavisEyes 04-15-2005 01:41 AM

I was a little surprised by Colby getting the boot tonight. I am really rooting for Steph. She has proved that she really wants this.

ADPi Conniebama 04-15-2005 03:34 PM

yea but Stephs days are numbered . . . she is definately a threat - she will have to win some immunity challenges. I couldn't believe she jumped off the stand for pizza, I thought she was gone for sure.

hoosier 04-17-2005 03:29 PM

Jumping off might have been her strategy to make friends.

Nothing would have alarmed the tribe more than for the new girl to win the first challenge.

I thought that guy talked too much, so goodbye to him.

vanda 04-22-2005 10:26 AM

I felt really bad for Steph last night. IMO, she is already a Survivor winner. I wish they would have us vote for a second millionaire like they did with the All Star edition. I would definitely vote for her.

AznSAE 04-22-2005 01:29 PM

i think stephanie is a fierce competitor. i would like to see her win, but it probably wont happen because she is outnumbered. however, i think that if the others want a chance to win, then they should take stephanie to the finals with them. their entire team will be on the tribal counsil, so its likely that they will pick their own to win over the girl who came in and took over.

ADPi Conniebama 04-22-2005 08:27 PM

Stephanie is so cool. If she can pull of getting the girls together then she's got the game won. I always wish the girls would stick together, but they always get petty and tell the guys what is going on.

I love survivor.

WesternAlumn 04-28-2005 08:55 PM

Where is Survivor tonight? Why is George Bush ruining my Thursday night???

KDAngel 04-28-2005 11:45 PM

I just went to watch it on my DVR and missed it b/c of Bush (whom I love, but still). Anyway, it came on afterwards, too bad I didn't know that til 11pm, so I missed it.

Someone know what happened and wanna fill me in?

FHwku 04-29-2005 12:45 AM

Steph got voted off.

BetteDavisEyes 04-29-2005 12:45 AM

Steph got the boot.
The rest of the show wasn't any good but I was majorly :( and  at the same time b/c they turned against her to give her the ax. Bastards.

AGDee 04-29-2005 06:25 AM

They'll get theirs soon enough. Tom very well could win the rest of the Immunity challenges and they'll all be toast very quickly, except for one weak, less likeable woman (Caryn probably?) who he will drag to the top with him so that the jury will vote for him over her. They'll all be kicking themselves for not listening to Steph. Tonight's immunity challenge was largely based on luck (of other people's bad luck in accidentally hitting someone else's tile), which is why Tom didn't win it. He's going to win anything based on skill.

You'd think they'd learn from watching other seasons, wouldn't you?

ADPi Conniebama 04-29-2005 05:05 PM

I knew the women would not stick together. Why do we do that to eachother. They could have run the board on the men. Also, (I am bad with names) I cannot stand that brown headed guy (I could look it up on the net but I don't feel like it) I know it is good editing but I cant stand him. He is acting like the show was set up for him to win 1 mil $.

Well they have me hook line and sinker this season I love this show.

mmcat 04-30-2005 08:53 AM

tom must win immunity or they'll be working him next.
at least steph is on the jury so she can affect the finale.

ADPi Conniebama 05-14-2005 02:02 PM

The women tried to get together again and didn't follow through. I don't get it. Don't they know that the men will stick together. Apparently they get the whole "team" thing. The women seem to miss that aspect of the game.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Ian and Tom as the last two.

WesternAlumn 05-15-2005 09:24 PM

What is Ian thinking? Go Tom Go!
