oooh, but i am not surprised. there have been rumors that she didn't want to have kids. on an interview he did recently for oceans 12, he was asked about his priorites...and he said having children.

although this news is bad for jennifer, it is great news for me. brad, honey, i would totally have your babies anytime! :)

I agree. A recent issue of Us magazine ad the couple as the cover story and this was supposedly a BIG issue for them. Brad's focus is on having/starting a family while her focus is on her career. Um. . . Jen, you're 35 when in the world do you plan to have kids?? I feel really bad because they did seem to be one of Hollywood's power couples.

so i just called my mom to tell her and she told me that since he's now available i should go for it and that the age difference doesnt matter since it's brad pitt. sometimes my mom makes me laugh.

Haha, my dad just told me the same thing!

Seriously though, even though it seems like they were never together, I always thought they'd make it :(

pinkyphimu 01-07-2005 11:38 PM

ladies, i am sorry, but brad and i have already announced our engagement, so you are going to have to wait for your own hottie to get divorced.

:)

Maybe she doesn't want to have kids?

I know marriage is hard work, and husbands/boyfriends can get on your nerves from time to time, but Jennifer, honey...YOU ARE MARRIED TO BRAD PITT!! She HAS to know she can only go DOWN from here!! I mean if the worst thing in your marrriage is that BRAD PITT wants you to have his baby, what beef could she possibly have!!

I absolutely, positively, 100% agree.

My fiancee laughed & said he'd still wait for me while I go get Brad to knock me up.

The line of women who are willing to let Brad "knock them up" forms to the LEFT!! Hell, I'd go "half" on a baby with him!;)

TRUE.

omg, what's next....nick and jessica???? :p

GeoffZ 01-08-2005 02:28 AM

I shouldn't be surprised since this is a Hollywood couple, but I thought that they would always be together. They seemed to have a genuine marriage. Like Oprah says, "You never know what's going on inside people's houses".

Like someone said before, maybe she doesn't want kids? If so, thats her choice and hers alone.

They were a cute couple and I would have loved to see them make it. :(

They should have discussed this PRIOR to marriage. :o

CutiePie2000 01-08-2005 04:08 AM

Not to have "schadenfreude" (well, maybe a little), but with Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, it wasn't a case of "would they ever separate or divorce?", it was just a matter of WHEN.

Frankly, I gave them 2 years tops...I am shocked that they made it to the 4 1/2 mark.

ZTAngel 01-08-2005 09:49 AM

Dear Brad,

I will gladly have your babies.

Love,
ZTAngel

I totally agree. The issue of children is one that definitely needs to be talked about before those vows are taken. But these days it seems like nobody does that anymore... they just get married and divorced at the drop of a hat

kddani 01-08-2005 10:08 AM

she said a gazillion times publicly how much she wants to have kids and how she couldn't wait!

she always said that when friends ended, they would start trying for kids. but then friends ended and she signed on for a few movies instead.

Exactly. That's the point that I was trying to get at. I mean, don't people discuss these topics before they get married.

norcalchick 01-08-2005 01:44 PM

i told my bf i'm going to leave him so i can go out and hunt down brad pitt, console him then fuck like rabbits. lol. i'd be happy to have babies with that man.

But sometimes people change...

MiamiADPi 01-08-2005 03:19 PM

Sad to hear.... they were cute, wait, GORGEOUS, together. I remember hearing about Jennifer wanting to start a family after Friends ended too, but I guess when things and hot, they're hot & you have to keep working. But comeon, couldn't she survive without working for a few years and like y'all said IT'S BRAD PITT!!

yeah but when they got married, Jennifer Aniston had just started acting in movies....i dont think she or Brad Pitt knew she would end up doing well in the box office and keep getting more roles. i just think she became a bigger star than she had anticipated and it caught up with her. it's unfortunate that they are separating but maybe they'll work things out. they seemed like a geniune couple who valued privacy and i commend them for that. but recently they hadn't been spending much time together due to film conflicts and i'm sure that takes a huge toll on a marriage

I don't think she could afford to stop working. She's 35. That's not old in real life, but it's a different story in Hollywood. She has to capitalize on what she has right now. Her movie career has only really started in the past couple of years. Yeah she did stuff before that, but she wasn't successful critically/commercially, until "The Good Girl". I think she needs to build on that (and " Bruce Almighty", "Along Came Polly") and prove that she can have a career beyond "Friends". She's also producing movies. Between that and acting it would be hard to take a break and have a baby.

But anyways that's just me speculating. Only they know why they're separating.

kddani 01-08-2005 04:01 PM

guys, we don't even know if kids were the reason for the breakup :)

33girl 01-08-2005 04:02 PM

Perhaps she can't get pregnant, or he's shooting blanks. That's really not something (especially for girls) you know until you try. There's also the POV that she was too thin to get pregnant, although if Courtney Cox can do it I would think anyone can.

When you're in that first glow of love things are different - this and that sounds good, then years go by and maybe it doesn't anymore. Especially in their business.

AKA2D, when I read this and then your "Every Day is a Day of Thanksgiving" sig line directly following it just seemed way too appropriate and I had to laugh. :)

That's true. I suppose none of it is our business anyway, is it?

lol being with an actor is HARD work. I know of what I speak. If Brad is as hard to deal with as the male actors I know--Hotness does not make up for that. ;)

hell, musicians who are semifamous within city limits are hard enough to deal with sometimes :) I can't imagine what it's like to date someone on a soap, let alone Brad Pitt.

YEP. And I've come to see it takes a certain personality type to be an actor... and they are pretty much, by and large, f*&^ up. And I say this knowing I am madly in love with mr. amycat and still... they all have such damn issues its scary.

COSIGN!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't he Greek anyways? That could be our "angle" to "getting to know him".

My mom has already said "use the Greek angle". Screw the age difference. He is just H. O. T Hot!!!!!!!!!

I definately agree kids should have been something they discussed prior to marriage. But I've always read and heard the Jennifer "wanted" children, but I think when it really came down to it she just didn't want to "go the distance".

I hate to say this, there are a lot of women out there who just don't want the "changes" that will occur to their body with pregnancy. But hello you have millions Jennifer, it's called HIRE A PERSONAL TRAINER (as if you don't have one already).

I have to say I feel really bad for him. My heart breaks for him because you can tell that he truly loves her, but I've noticed in pictures that she doesn't seem to "recripricate" the same way he feels. IMPO

I'm not assuming that Jen dumped Brad, I'm assuming that Brad dumped Jen.

Based off everything the media has stated over the last two to three months, Brad has been the one wanting children and Jen hasn't. And lets face it that is a HUGE issue in a lot of marriages and it cause a lot of seperations/divorces.

With that said, I have every right to make this assumption.

Finally, it is my opinion. No one has any right jumping in and tell me that I can't think that way.
