i love sex and the city. i was more than a little surprised at samantha last night. i never thought that she would go that route. i was proud of her for finally confronting big. i have been waiting for one of them to check him. i like big but he is playing with carrie. i don;t know if i like the jazz guy yet.

JinglesSpr99 06-11-2001 02:50 PM

OO~OOP Sorors! I have been reading the post on the boards for a few weeks. However, this is my first reply! I am a fan. The only reason why I would not let mom cancell hbo is because I wanted to see the new season!

JinglesSpr99 06-11-2001 04:31 PM

I didn't think Samantha would do that either. I just wish for once they would give maranda a good lookin guy. LOl.. the guy from last nights show was the worst one yet.

ladycat81 06-15-2001 05:15 PM

Hey I haven't posted in awhile but I'm a HUGE Sex and the City fan. I thought the jazz guy that Carrie was talking too was cute. Miranda does get some busted up lookin guys they need to cut her some slack!

DELTAQTE 06-15-2001 06:23 PM

I felt sorry for Carrie on her birthday! she looked so lonely. I know that we gossip like that but dang, they go to the extreme! you know the show is written by gay men.

I know some folks don't admit it, but have any showtime owning folks peeped queer as folk? some of the stuff on there makes me cover my eyes! lol

I love SATC and I have been an avid viewer since 1998 but umm... err..... SATC went too far last night in the scene with Samantha and her girlfriend.

Honestly, I didn't think she would do something like that, but I'm not surprised!! Especially after her photo session!! I couldn't believe how she walked in there, dropped her robe and put her leg up on the chair like "I'm ready!!!" She's a bold one, to say the least http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif (BTW, I almost DIED when Carrie fell on the runway!!)
I LOVE that show!! I also can't wait unti the 27th to see Soul Food up and running again!!!

JinglesSpr99:

Perhaps you don't have anything against gays, but I hardly think a few gay characters on a few predominantly heterosexual shows equals a gay "kick." For the most part, TV is still very much a heterosexual enterprise. A handful of gay characters and/or gay shows in the mix is just a reflection of reality. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/cool.gif Gay people have been around since the beginning of time, and it's about time they showed up in the prime-time line-up.

Just my .25.

Respectfully,
BN

I completely agree with you B.N. And it is about time that gays are recognized in prime time. And there are many other groups that need more representation in prime time.

MAN OH MAN, how fine did Aidan look? lol!

I am so glad SAmantha is not with the woman anymore, that was really wierd.

I think Sarah Jessica Parker is pretty, some folks don't though, lol

Naw.

SJP is too skinny. She dresses cute though.

Quiet as it's kept...most men I know say that the one with the nicest bosy and face is the supposed "homey" one...I can't think of her name.

Samantha's character is the absolute BEST but she's visibly old-er...and the red-heads teeth look crazy as all get out...so...that's the run-down from the brothahs.

Aidan is a cutey too...

c&c1913 08-06-2001 09:57 PM

Who watched it last night?

Miranda pregnant!?!
Charlotte's body attacking Trey's sperm!
Samantha using Lucy Liu.
Carrie can't quit lying!?! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif

I'm glad Miranda decided to keep the baby, I can see more storylines with this than if she had an abortion. I just loved her comment about she and Steve being in the special olympics because he only has one goodie and she has lazy ovaries.

I can't believe that next week is the summer finale! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif

kiml122 08-07-2001 08:40 AM

Where are they taking this show? It's called Sex in the City, not let's have kids in the City. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Just joking, but seriously, can you see Miranda of all people with a child. There will be tons of funny episodes with someone besides Charlotte having a child. Next week Aiden is going to propose to Carrie I think. Carrie married, can't see it.

I think that I must be one of the biggest Sex and the City fans. I love all four women, but, of course Carry is my favorite (with Samantha coming in a close second) http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif I just love listening to them talk about what's going on in their lives and I also love the fact that they are all WELL-ESTABISHED women.

What do you guys thing about this Carry-Bigg situation? I think that they need to go ahead and get married. The situation just goes to show that the "cat and mouse game of romance" is going on EVERY WHERE. I'm waiting for the day when Bigg will FINALLY break down and ask Carry to marry him. Any other thoughts on this?

korkscru 08-07-2001 08:54 AM

Oh yeah, by the way, based on the advertisements for the season finale, I'm predicting that ALL (or atleast TWO) of the women will be pregnant in the new season. Any takes on that?

AlphaChiGirl 08-08-2001 11:37 AM

I love the show, but I don't know how much longer it can stay on, especially with the direction the show is going. Charlotte is married and trying to have a baby, Miranda is pregnant, Carrie is with Aidan (or Big), and Samantha is Samantha.

Miranda pregnant? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

I feel like Carrie and Big are both shallow, and that's why they deserve eachother. She doesn't desverve Aidan, that's for sure. He's SUCH a good guy! I know I would be in Suffern ALL THE TIME if he were there! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

Which SATC character resembles you the most? I'd say Charlotte, just 'cause I like the way she dresses and she doesn't seem to get down like the other ones, if you know what I mean.

DSTPRL 08-15-2001 12:40 AM

I used to like SATC more than I do now. The season finale stunk! Carrie's character quickly became my least favorite this season. She is a whiner!!!! Also - if Aiden hadn't changed the ring out would she still had said yes? You can always upgrade if the ring isn't exactly what you like or want.

But Miranda with kids...that is gonna be FUNNY! Remember her w/ the puppy?

I hope Charlotte and Tre end up pregnant. I figure if they stop stressing over it it will happen. Granted - Charlotte neeeds to get her head out of the clouds at times though.

Samantha - I hope they calm her down a bit. I mean how realistic is it for ANYONE to sleep with EVERYONE they find attractive?

I really like Aiden's character. And Big....he had me rolling when he told Carrie she was not the marrying type!!! I was like "he just dissed her and her dumb butt is too silly to recognize it". I do not think she and Aiden will get married though.

And introducing children to the show is appropriate I think. After all...sex should make babies eventually right? LOL!!

I hope they get better writers for January 2002 Season.

So this is how actors celebrate the end of a run on Broadway.
Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick, fresh off his mega-successful stint with The Producers, have been busy with some producing of their own: They're expecting their first child this fall, columnist Liz Smith reported Friday.

Parker, 37, and Broderick, 40, will celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary in May.

The big baby news will certainly put a crimp HBO's production plans for Sex and the City. The cable network announced Friday it will suspend production on the Emmy-winning series April 10 "in order for HBO to evaluate its production schedule in light of [Parker's] recently announced pregnancy."

Only two episodes of the show's fifth season have been shot. And the season premiere, originally set for June, has now been tentatively pushed back to July. There's also no word yet on whether Parker's advice-dishing alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw, will end up going through a pregnancy of her own on the series.

Meanwhile, Friday's news ought to silence (well, at least temporarily) recent tabloid reports claiming all was not well between Parker and her husband. The gossipy chatter escalated in January, when Parker neglected to thank Broderick when she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy.

Parker and Broderick later insisted to Barbara Walters that their bond is strong. "Come see me in 25 or 30 years when I'm still married to the same man," she said.

For his part, Broderick is finally getting some rest after his yearlong stint starring in Mel Brooks' Tony Award-winning stage version of The Producers. He and costar Nathan Lane gave their last performance in March.

Broderick's next gig is starring in a TV movie version of The Music Man to air on ABC next season.

That, and Lamaze classes.
