these are just some random ramblings about some of the music videos out:

"contagious" by the isley bros. feat. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif ron isley a.k.a. mr. biggs - okay, i don't know about anyone else, but i think he is takiing the "mr. biggs" things just a lil too far!! and, ron, are you not an isley too? what's up with this "featuring" nonsense

"i cry" by ja rule feat. lil mo' - what did his homeboy die from? don't tell me he died because they snatched them chains from around his neck

"midwest swing" by the st. lunatics - nelly, i still don't know why your cutlass is blue. and, why does lil momma in the laundromat have on a shower cap and lil daddy got on the mouse mask?? (and he wants us to believe that they aint country??)

"falling" by alicia keys - GONE 'HEAD GULL!! i like that video almost as much as i like the song. most of us have dealt with or been close to someone who has dealt with a man in prison. it can break a sista

"fiesta" by r. kelly - it aint a fiesta with a bunch of half-naked girls, robert

"pop" by n'sync - aren't those boys just adorable?? i really like this video, except the beat-box breakdown

"resolution" by aaliyah - the song is cute, but why does all her songs that are about relationships (which all of them are) never feature a love-interest in the video? by the by, the snake thing is very, very odd

"you remind me" by usher - i really like this song, but did anyone else catch him humping the tree??!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

"hit-em-up style" by blu cantrell - it took me a minute to like this song, although i don't believe she will be getting a grammy for best songwriting (check the lyrics: while he was schemin', i was beamin in the beamer just beamin'--wth??), but i think the video is cute. it follows the song, which i like

"she's all i got" by jimmy cozier - this video is cool. ol girl in the video is crazy though. she didn't have to pull the phone out the wall!!!

"get yo' freak on" by missy elliot - okay, missy, what is up with this jungle of humans thing?

"loverboy" by mariah carey - ugh! her shorts are shamingly short!! between her shorts and beyonce's pants, i have seen WAY too much booty on b.e.t.

I'm with you on that! And is it just me, but doesn't "loverboy" sound like a few of her other songs? "Heartbreaker," "Fantasy," etc.?

"oochie wally" I hate the song, what it says, all of that! he really really really WHAT??????

"come and get it" Puffy cracks me up with his dances, but that jiggy new move that kids do in all the videos erks me(cause i can't do it)

"let me blow ya mind" eve is cool and gwen stefani is cool with me too, it's just played out.


"dirty pop" I like the be-box at the end! it's just a little long.

"boodylicious" actually, i like this video, the MJ tribute is cool. where did they find big girl at? she was out!

AND THE WORST VIDEO OF ALL TIME IS:

YES! hammer just made this song and it's on the net, he just looks pathetic and the video looks like someone shot it on a old camera, sad man sad!

I can't figure this out, either cause I KNOW he was in the Isley Brothers in the first place... I guess he thinks he's surpassed them to the point where he needs to be "featured". http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif You see what I think about that.

Another thing this video makes me wonder is why Chanté Moore and R. Kelly seem so cozy lately. And why does she leave with him in the end after he calls her a b*tch in front of all those men? She ain't right.

I was thinking the same thing. All of her songs sound very similar. Her image, IMO, is getting tired and a little played out. I'm not hating on her or anything, but it's time for change. I'm tired of the little baby doll tops, cootie cutter shorts, spiked stiletto heels, high pitched singing, and that stupid innocent look on her face. Maybe it's just me...

First of all, Ms. Carey needs to ho ahead (I mean go) and do something that suits her personality b/c it seems as if she has another goal.

The new ISLEY BROS. song f/ R.Kelly and Chante Moore (as it should be titled) is the ish--I love that little part at the end.

I am LOVIN' that Alicia Keys song and video!! Does anyone know if that single is in stores?

"Bootylicious"--the video is cute, but did they really have to cut to Beyonce on ALL of her ad libs?


Videos/songs that I am sick of:
"I Cry"--me too, everytime I hear this
"Get Your Freak On"--ugh!
"My Baby"--Lil Romeo is cute, but Bow Wow is better
"Fiesta Part II"--possibly the most overplayed song of the summer

There are more that I like/hate, but I can't think of them right now. I'll be back to rant and rave.....

Trust me, I'm in the business and Mariah Carey is the hoodrat noone speaks about. Most of these big stars are quite loose, but since they are respected, it's not talked about. The only reason why she is getting talked about now is because she put herself out there. I crack up everytime I see an interview of hers talking about "I have only been with 2 men"(her ex husband and Jeter at the time)She is so full of it. I know going through a divorce sometimes makes you go through "the ho phase" but she has stayed in it.

I'm sure they'll keep their names.. after all, we got Lil Mo, Lil Kim, Lil O, Lil Troy, Lil Flip, Lil Jon, Lil Zane... I'm too tired to go on.

Okay, yeah, Ron Isley IS an Isley Brother by birth...but, he isn't actually part of the entity "The Isley Brothers." For example, some award show last year gave him a lifetime achievement award...and mentioned the Isley Brothers a couple of times...the Isley Brothers were sitting right next to him in the audience, but the camera wasn't focused on them...it was on Ron.
Lil Romeo: the singing is ANNOYING...the video and the little girls with the bad makeup...I turn the station/channel everytime that song comes on.
Lil Bow wow: cute KID...KNOWS he's the isht...disturbing b/c little kids are running around after this boy like he's the second coming.
Hammer: I haven't heard the song...plllllease don't let me hear it, I may cry for the poor man.
Hoochie Wally Wally: That song is SAD...I like the beat, actually. But, the message is just another example of how men glorify THEMSELVES...giving THEMSELVES props--I guess if you don't sweat yourself, no one else will.

Lil' Mo, Big Mo, Lil' O, and Lil' flip (I think) along with Ginuwine and other folks are actually going to be in concert tonight as part of K104's summer jam.

Speaking of lil's. Rememeber when Immature came out and everyone thought they were so cute, but then they got older and changed their name to IMX or something and we haven't heard from the since.

Now I totally agree with the comments made about the new Isley Brothers' video. I was also wondering why Chante' Moore would leave with a dude that just called her a b**ch. But I figure it like this. She's playing a natural "gold-digger" in the video. And gold-digger are ALL ABOUT THE DOLLARS. They don't care what they are called as long as they are getting theirs. I'm not an advid video watcher (I catch them here and there). But it baffles me to see a video that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the song. Does anyone know where I'm coming from.

I like the Usher song and video (I have no idea why he's humping that tree though http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif ) Did anyone notice that one girl looks a LOT like Brandy? She's the 2nd girl he talks to in the video (she's w/ him while he's humping the tree).


I have mixed emotions on the "bootylicious" song. I like the beat and the hook is catchy but I don't like that word! ugh! But I think the video is pretty cool.

I'm also feeling Alicia Keys. The song and the video is cool. I like the part when the women in the field start singing too.
What other videos do I like?...Oh I like the kids dancing in the Puffy song. They are too cute! I like the song as well...moreso the beat. And I like N'Sync's Dirty Pop song and video. I thought I was the only one thinking Brandy was up in that Usher video! The silly thing is that while he's humping the tree, she's paying him no attention AT ALL.

Although I'm ashamed, I kinda dig Bootylicious. They could show Michelle a little more though.

As far as Lil Bow Wow and Lil Romeo.. I think they're both cute. That's all I judge them on, cause you know JD and Master P are responsible for those rhymes.

Yeah, the guy ans his girlfriend (not wife!) just had a child- it's the oldest one though, with the beard. So it's not AS bad as it could be.

It's still funny to realise that some of the members of those boy bands are old enough to be their fans daddies!

I love Missy's CD and her videos. She never disappoints me as far as creativity goes. And Tim never disappoints on his beats. People can say whatever they want: he can't rap, she can't rap, whatever. That's all well and good, but Tim has phat beats. The part I can't stand about her Get Yo Freak On video is the neck thing. That's just wild.

I think that Kelis's video for Get Along With You, that's the most far out video I've ever seen. It was that video that made me buy her CD. I mean, she took her body apart. Can't get no weirder than that, lol.
