Work Out Songs

I tried to put together a playlist for my workout.
Any ideas?

So far I have:
Bomb Over Baghdad - OutKast
Eye of The Tiger
Gin and Juice - Snoop Dogg
Paint It Black - Rolling Stones

Please give me inputs. :D

When I do weights, I listen to like r&b or rap. When I do the eliptical (sp?) machine, I listen to dance music. My songlist sucks right now, so I don't want to list them hehe. I need new music!

80s music is always great cause it has a great beat that really helps you keep it up.

epsilon99 12-20-2004 06:09 PM

I like aggressive Techno on the treadmill.

When I am suffering I put on Sandstorm by Darude.

Cardinal026 12-21-2004 11:59 AM

I automatically think of Kanye West's "Workout Plan"...

"Thats right, put in work
Move your [butt], go wizzerk
Eat your salad, no dessert
Get that man you deserve."

My roommates and I do crunches to this one, its fun. :D

KarenC725 12-21-2004 10:59 PM

To name a few on my CD:

Push It-Garbage
No Diggity
Let Me Clear My Throat
Without Me-Eminem
Bullet with Butterfly Wings-Smashing Pumpkis

Lo Fidelity All Stars - Battleflag

That is a GREAT song to run to... the beat is perfect to a normal running pace.

Rain Man 12-22-2004 09:23 AM

The ULTIMATE 80s step aerobics song...

...goes to Laura Branigan's "Gloria"!

A must-have for every serious workout CD.

Lil' Hannah 12-22-2004 11:13 AM

I don't know if you like metal (or screamcore or whatever) but From Autumn to Ashes and Every Time I Die have some good screamy songs that get me pumped up when I'm at the gym.

Same here.
Go to the store and buy those progressive house CD compilations. Always good treadmill running fodder.

An Oldie But a Goodie

"It's Raining Men" - Weather Girls

Hi (hi), we're your weather girls (uh-huh)
And have we got news for you (you better listen)
Get ready all you lonely girls
And leave those umbrellas at home (all right)

Humidity is rising (uh rising)
Barometer's getting low (how low girl, uh-oh)
According to all sources (what sources now)
The street's the place to go (we better hurry up)
'Cause tonight for the first time (first time)
Just about half past 10 (half past 10)
For the first time in history
It's gonna start raining men (start raining men)

It's raining men, Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen
I'm gonna go out, I'm gonna let myself get
Absolutely soaking wet
It's raining men, Hallelujah
It's raining men, every specimen
Tall, blond, dark and lean
Rough and tough and strong and mean

God bless Mother Nature
She's a single woman too
She took on the heavens
And she did what she had to do
She fought every angel
She rearranged the sky
So that each and every woman
Could find the perfect guy

It's raining men, Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen
It's raining men, Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen

I hear stormy weather movin' in
'Bout to break it, about to begin
Hear the thunder, don't you lose your head
Rip up the roof and stay in bed (rip up the roof and stay in bed)

God bless Mother Nature
She's a single woman too
She took on the heavens
And she did what she had to do
She fought every angel
She rearranged the sky
So that each and every woman
Could find the perfect guy
Ooh it's raining men down

Humidity is rising (humidity is rising, yeah it's rising)
Barometer's getting low (it's getting low low low low low low low low low)
(Oh it's getting low)
According to all sources (according to all sources, oh to all sources)
The street's the place to go
Because tonight for the first time (first time)
Just about half past 10 (half past 10)
For the first time in history
It's gonna start raining men (start raining men)

It's raining men (woo), Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen
It's raining men, Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen
It's raining men, Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen
It's raining men, Hallelujah
Woah woah woah woah woah woah, Amen
It's raining men (tall and blond and dark and lean)
It's raining men (and rough and tough and strong and mean)
It's raining men (come on), Hallelujah
It's raining men, Amen

BON John Tesh has a few very good songs to work out by.
As do The Saw Doctors.

ZTAngel 02-24-2008 11:08 AM

I have a bunch of old school booty music on my iPod. The fast beat gets me going. Tootsie Roll, Donkey Butt, Scarred, etc. Plus the lyrics to those are funny!

SWTXBelle 02-24-2008 06:22 PM

You can tell I went to college in the 80s

My daughter made a mix cd for my birthday and I tend to work out to it.

"Walk of Life" - Dire Straits
"Highway to Hell" - AC/DC
"Toys in the Attic" - Aerosmith
"Love Shack" - B-52s
"Life during War" - Talking Heads
"Don't Stop Me Now" -Queen (I tend to repeat this song a couple of times - trying not to think of smacking zombies' heads while listening to it)
"Hot Dog" - Led Zepplein
"Blister in the Sun" - Violent Femmes

Sometimes I work out to Shakira's "Laundry Service" or Flogging Molly . Good times

workout songs

yeah -- if you're interested in workout Songs .....for gym music or music for fitness in general, I recommend European dance music.......
it's always the best motivational tool for me...
.... here's a compilation series on iTunes that I recommend -- the "Euro Club Hits" series:

KSUViolet06 04-24-2008 03:51 AM

*Any and all pop music from the "golden era" of TRL. NSYNC, Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, 98 degrees, Backstreet Boys etc. It's all so cheesy I can't help but get motivated.

*80's Michael Jackson. Billie Jean, Beat It, etc.

*Ridiculous 90's R&B. Bobby Brown, BBD, Keith Sweat etc.
