Reality TV Greeks
 

OK, so I know there are probably so many threads on this, but I figured in light of my discovering that one of the new people on "High School Reunion" is an ADPi, I thought I'd start a new one.

1- Does anyone know the greek afiliation of any new/old reality TV "stars"?

2- Is anyone friends with anyone who's ever been on a reality TV show or actually been on one themselves?

I'm such a reality TV junkie and I thought with every new season, it's nice to discuss. Question 2 is probably more suited for Chit Chat but could fall here since if you were on a show then YOU would be the greek on the show.

One of the biggies was Trisha Rhen (sp?) from the 'Bachelorette'. Then she had that multi-million dollar wedding to boot! She was/is an Alpha Chi Omega alumna.

Amanda from the Joe Schmoe 2 Show (Spike TV) is an A Chi O from the University of Michigan. (If you were watching the finale, her friend Steph came on the show. Steph is a ZTA from Penn State).

I also started this thread in the ADPi forum about a girl from my chapter who was on the WB's High School Reunion. There's another guy on the show who is a UCF Pike.

ETA: I think most of the reality tv people like to let it go once the show ends... Then you have the guy who won on the first season of The Apprentice, who sends out press releases about himself for any old thing.

There's a thread somewhere that lists all the Real World/Road Rules greeks. There's a bunch of those.

Some Reality TV ZTAs are Keri from 'The Real World Chicago', Kirsten from 'The Bachelor', Jenna from 'Survivor', and Christine from 'The Benefactor'.

Yes, I know or I'm friends with a bunch of Reality TV stars. ;)

Unfortunately I don't watch enough TV, but the one episode of Real World/Road Rules battle of the sexes, one of the girls was wearing a green hoodie with the letters DG on it, not greek letters, but just DG and I think that can only mean she's a delta gamma.

Season 1 of America's Next Top Model had 2 members of Delta Sigma Theta -- Robin and Kesse. :)

Katie from Road Rules- who was recently on Battle of the Sexes- wore a green jacket that said KD on it. Now, I'm wondering if it meant more like KT (kay-tee... or kay dee) a way to spell her name or if it meant Kappa Delta.

I tried looking for Road Rules thread, bc I know there are many, but the search engine keeps timing out.

Maybe I'll search again :)

Past reality tv greeks who I knew/met in college:

Maile from Popstars who is one of my chapter sisters.

Amaya from RW Hawaii who is a Kappa from UCLA.

Her name is Katie Doyle, so she could easily be sporting her initials.

Meredith, another Bachelorette, is an Alpha Gamma Delta from Oregon State. Last time I checked, she wasn't in good standing with the Fraternity so IHQ doesn't claim her as an Accomplished Alpha Gam.

Wonder what happened...?

Regarding the MTV DG -- that would be Robin from RW San Diego. She's been known to sport the Anchor in a bunch of episodes.

If IHQ refuses to claim her, it's because of an internal matter (financial/personal obligations), and not her TV time.

In Tommy Lee's upcoming unscripted TV show, wherein he goes to college, there should be several Greeks. His main roommate is a Delt, and one of his "friends" or tutors or something is a member of my chapter (Beta). Not to mention he supposedly tries to start his own fraternity from what I've heard.

One of the two finalists in this season's Apprentice, Jennifer Massey, was president of Theta at Princeton. (Also a member of Cottage Club.)

so I'm really bored right now and I was looking through the biographies for the girls on the Big Man on Campus show...anyways it looks so greek friendly...just kidding. here are some of them

Jen - The Beauty Queen
This 21-year-old senior majoring in Communications, has held a grudge against sorority girls ever since her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with her own sorority sister. She'll do anything to win the heart of the BMOC, especially if it means beating out a sorority girl.

Aimee-The Older Woman
A 24-year old, Organization Communications major from Orlando, Florida, Aimee finds herself attracted to "metrosexual" guys. She will do just about anything to win the guy, especially if it means beating out the sorority girls, who she thinks are materialistic snobs

Jessica C. - The Funny Girl
Jessica wants what she can't have and doesn't have a problem going after guys who aren't available. Another former sorority girl, this 20-year-old Liberal Studies student from Oviedo, Florida, hates frat guys and doesn't have a problem letting them know it.

Morgan - The Sorority Girl
The 21-year-old Political Science major from Naples, Florida, hopes to be a political analyst after she graduates. She doesn't mind being referred to as "a sorority girl," because she believes she's good at it, like everything else she does.

Also, Shawn from Road Rules: Semester at Sea pledged Alpha after he was on the show. He wore an Alpha shirt on the Battle of the Sexes.

About the sorority hating. Peeps just have to face it. There's very nice sorority girls out there, but there's some that are flat out bitches.

Jessica McCann from "Rebel Billionaire" is a Chi Omega, and actually graduated from George Mason, and corresponds with a few of our current sisters. :)

I only liked Kat. I'd add Diamond to the list of girls personalities I liked but her name is Diamond and that takes her off the list.

Maya from the first season of High School Reunion is an Alpha Chi Omega from Indiana University. In fact one of her pledge sisters was Trista Rehn. :)

I went to Hebrew school with Holly from that season of High School Reunion many, many years ago. I haven't talked to her since then and I have no idea if she's Greek or not, but I do remember she was really quiet and very nice back then.
