ok, so over thanksgiving, i met up with one of my very good high school friends at another one of my hs buddies mom's house. (she's like my 2nd mom and i always eat over there after eating at my house)....ANYWAY. this is what i discovered that night:

b/c of my second mother i am one degree away from:

bobby darin
perry como
frank sinatra
and others

and i am 2 degrees away from:
sammy davis jr.
and who knows who else b/c her dad was big into the music biz back in the day....she mentioned so many ppl i was cross-eyed :eek:

b/c of my friend lauren, i am now one degree away from:
lenny kravits
lionel ritchie
lead singer of creed (what's his name??)

and 2 degrees away from:
j.lo
ja rule
p. diddy
mariah carey

and countless others b/c lauren is trying to get her record together, and the guy who is managing/producing whatever her is the guy who sings the chorus on LL's new song (he wrote it, as well as ashanti's new song, i believe), and has worked with all these people. i met and hung out with him AND randomly his family thursday nite......ran-dom.

i'm just kinda like, "huh?"/"WHOA!" with all of this....esp since this was right after i found out that matt long is in people's 50 sexiest ppl list, and that just freaks me out.

- I went to high school with a girl whose mom is a well known tv personality in Canada.

- Another girl I knew from high school told me that her former baby-sitter dated Brendan Fraser.

Ummmm....I found out at Convention that a Canadian Cabinet Minister is an Alpha Gam alum (and from Tau chapter too).

It's hard not to meet a lot of people when you've been in TV for over 35 years.

One of my best friends from home is a cousin of Brendan Fraser! I don't think they're very close, though, cause she's only met him once.

Couple kids I graduated with had roles on now-cancelled Nickelodeon shows couple years back. One was on All That

My mom went to school with John Laroquette (the skirt-chasing lawyer on Night Court).

My great step-grandmother (who already passed away) played with Jesse James' crew's family, the kids at least. Or something like that.

I've met B Real from Cyprus Hill, Method Man when in Chicago.

I've met Michael Jorden in an airport (on the same plane).

Mel Gibson (same airport MJ was at) and New Edition when they first came out (got their autographs the same way I got B Real & Method Man's....Hotel lobby).

Smashing Pupkins when they were still doing local venues....same place B Real and Method Man did part of a video at.

I have seen and met several celebrities, athletes, and politicians.

My boyfriend dated a few celebrities and daughters of famous people before he met me. Seriously, the man should write his life story, but no one would believe him. I guess I am a few degrees from them.

Hey! One of my old friends is a cousing of his too! Kevin Sutherland is his name. I haven't seen him in years but this is pretty neat. Does this make us 10 degrees removed?
