Old School Part II (White Music)
O.K.,,, Don't laugh, but I went to a predominately white school where all they listened to was artists like Debbie Gibson, George Micheal, ect... I know we have had MANY Discissions on Old School, but I want to know how many people out there listened to Old School (White Music?)
I guess I will start this out by stating that I love: Eurythmics (Sp?) Sweet Dreams, Here comes the rain again George Micheal: Father Figure, Faith, WHAM: Careless Whisper Phil Collins: Against All Odds, One more Night, In the Air Tonight, Groovy Kind of Love, Easy Lover The Carrs: Drive Boy George: Carmacameleon (sp?) Debbie Gigson: Out of the Blue, Lost in YOur Eyes, Only in your Dreams, Maddona: True Blue, Like a Virgin, Material Girl, Into the Groove Nikky French: Total Eclipse From the Heart Blondie: Heart of Glass Hewy Lewis and the News: Heart and Soul, If this is it, actually all of their songs The Police: Every Breath You Take Duran Duran: Lets Dance Cindy Lauper: Girls Just wanna have Fun, Time after Time, True Colors, Into the Night, and the List goes ON, and ON, and ON!!!! My fiance' thinks that I am stuck in the 80's but hey what can I say..... I love this kind of Music, even though I get STRANGE looks when I blast in on stereo. The funny thing is,, is that after people make fun of me, they start singing and dancing to the music as well!!! [This message has been edited by DableST_1 (edited June 15, 2001).] |

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who likes some white groups and their music http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif It's great to see that it's okay to be diversified in our tastes in music. I attended a predominately white high school, a HBCU (SC State University)for undergrad, and a mixed university (Webster University) for grad school so I got a taste of both worlds so to speak. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I was into KC and the Sunshine Band (when they were out), Darryl Hall & John Oates, Karen Carpenter (now she's old-old school), David Bowie, Adam Ant, the Eurethimics (exuse the spelling), the band that sings "Black Velvet", Pat Benetar, Stevie Nicks (she's an ALL-TIME favorite. I still enjoy her songs), Journey, Madonna, and the list can go on and on.
