jharb 11-21-2004 02:10 PM

I wish it would snow in Ohio and my work would be cancelled today!

cutiepatootie 11-21-2004 02:13 PM

For so califronia it is rare unless you live in the mountains but to snow in the desert area it is cool!:D:D:D:D:D

queequek 11-21-2004 02:48 PM

I miss snow :(
I've heard that Atlanta will shut down completely if we have snow, even if it is less than 2".
AND EVERYBODY DRIVES SUV DOWN HERE!

DeltAlum 11-21-2004 02:53 PM

Nice snow in Denver yesterday.

When we lived in Baltimore, people would panic when it started to flurry.

Tom Earp 11-21-2004 03:02 PM

First Snow is Fantastic, but after that it Sucks!

Why do you think I have a snow blower in my garage?

Go to Colorado for snow and Ski!

Come to Kansas and the second gets very old when you have to dig out and blow snow!:( Get caught in a blizzard that closes the damn road on the way to snow skiing, frustration at is best!

Sorry CutieP, I remember last year when lifesaver called me from a saloon in San Antonio and said people were running out side makin Snow Angels in front of the Place!:)

OMG, live in Snow country and it really sucks when one cannot wear shorts and polo shirts!

To funny, remember a roommate from Panama who saw his first snow ran out side in His boxers and was throwing it. Hell, got sicker than the dog that He was! Oh, we lived in the basement of the dorm!

Always wondered what happen to Jim Palumbo?

Lady Pi Phi 11-21-2004 05:02 PM

It's hasn't snowed in Toronto yet.

There has already been a bad snow storm down east and the people of Halifax were without power for a while.

Munchkin03 11-21-2004 05:06 PM

No snow here.

I remember in RI, we'd think it was going to be a "mild" winter if we didn't have one major snow by Thanksgiving.

I think all kids should grow up in a place where they can be exposed to snow--either that or they should be able to travel to a place where they can play in the snow.

Who knew it snows in the desert like this....it's been snowing all day and it's not letting up yet.

I talked to my husband who's visiting family in Illinois. Who knew it would be snowing here before there!

That is the problem with Y'All in the S0uthern Regions! Dont know what the Hell to do with Snow! Just stay off of the Roads!

When My Ass Whole Brother moved to Houstin They had a 1/4 snow. Closed the whole town dow!n! He being from Mo.-Ks Area just drove around to see what Houstin Was Like!:)

Well in retrospect, actually the Peeps Here do tre same damn thing on the first snow!:(

Act like it is Sunny and 70 +.. There are some words for them---Dumb Asses!

smiley21 11-21-2004 06:11 PM

i cannot wait to go to pennsylvania for christmas so that i can see the wonderful snow again. i miss snow so much. :(

Peaches-n-Cream 11-21-2004 06:33 PM

It rained yesterday, but no snow.

I hope your child enjoyed the snow. :)

AGDee 11-21-2004 07:29 PM

My kids asked me once what the "S" word was.. I told them it is SNOW.

I promised that I wouldn't complain about snow this year when the hurricanes were hitting Florida so badly. Thankfully, there hasn't been any to complain about... YET. (It is bound to happen soon though!)

queequek 11-21-2004 09:32 PM

It is Thanksgiving week, and I was running in my shorts and t-shirt. If I was still in the midwest, I would be prepared for hitting the slope instead of outdoor running.

What a crazy world you have down here in deep south!

GeekyPenguin 11-21-2004 10:00 PM

I want it to snow so the Conservinator can teach me how to ski. I live in WISCONSIN, it shouldn't be a challenge to get snow.

Glitter650 11-22-2004 02:54 AM

No snow here ... EVER.... must drive 4 hours or so for snow and skiing...

I am very jealous of those who get snowy holiday time...

SigPhiSunshine 11-22-2004 02:55 AM

OH FUCK NO!! WHO WANTS SNOW????

preciousjeni 11-22-2004 02:58 AM

I'm a little scared. I'll be driving down to GA on Dec. 16th and then driving back up on Jan. 3. I do have snow tires (that EAT my gasoline!) but no chains. I hope there's no blizzard or anything crazy when I'm trying to drive back.

mmcat 11-22-2004 08:32 AM

no snow here thank god.
but if you want it, just drive 2 1/2 hours to the mountains. the mescalero apaches are only too happy to oblige at ski apache complete with casino gaming.

sageofages 11-22-2004 09:30 AM

No snow yet in Central Iowa....rain, rain and more rain.....

I can't wait for a good snow to cover the leaves still laying in the yard.. .:)

I've been driving in snow for six years now, on a "I live in Wisconsin and pretty much do it daily for 3-4 months" basis. I have never ever used chains, and have never ever seen anyone use them. I don't think they're necessary. I don't even have snow tires.

substitute massachusetts for wisconsin, and that's me. i had no chains, no snowtires and have been driving in snow since the day i got my license 8 years ago and i've never had a problem.

MoonStar17 11-22-2004 11:04 AM

For some reason even tho it gets to be freezing temperatures it doesn't snow in Tallahassee. Once every few years we get a couple snowflakes and that's it.
Now this summer in Moscow there were snowflakes on May 15th. I can't imagine what kind of winters they have up there.

ZTAngel 11-22-2004 11:49 AM

What's snow? ;)

ONLY time I have ever used chains was driving at Paradise Pass on Mt. Rainier Washington DURING a extremely heavy snow storm. Mind you at the time Paradise had about 96 inches of snow on the ground!!! (yes you read that right....and yes plows had highways cleared...sort of)

jharb 11-22-2004 12:29 PM

I know this doesn't mean much but I drive a new beetle and I never use snow tires or chains and I've been ok. The farthest north I've been in my car is Indianapolis, but we get dumped on there at times and I haven't had problems.

valkyrie 11-22-2004 12:39 PM

I've never used chains either, and I spent last winter driving up and down the mountains in the snow. I hear about them being required here on occasion, but I just looked up the chain law and apparently since I have the right tires and 4WD I won't need them.

hottytoddy 11-22-2004 03:30 PM

Oh, I wish it would snow here. It probably won't til January at least though.

I went to New Orleans this weekend and it was like 80 degrees. I was like wearing a tank top and and all...it was HOT down there!

Susan_Renee 11-22-2004 08:06 PM

SigKapBling 11-22-2004 08:27 PM

DGqueen17 11-25-2004 12:33 PM

It won't stick though, the ground is wet.

This is the shittest Thanskgiving I've ever had.:(

AlphaGamDiva 11-25-2004 12:36 PM

PM_Mama00 11-25-2004 01:48 PM

I'm a tard.... I didn't know that it snowed in Kentucky!

Last night the rain turned to snow, and stuck a little. The streets and parking lots were slushy. A few hours after when we came out of the movie theater, everything had melted and it was warmer. But yesterday was SUCH a CRAPPY day.

Today.... is awesomely beautiful. Bright sunny sky.

Use the Symbol font (it's a standard font on most Windows computers).

Use the following UBB code to force the use of Symbol (spaces added to keep the code from generating):

[ font=symbol ]ASF[ /font ] should appear as ASF

Symbol does not follow Greek character convention or alphabetical order on the keyboard - it was designed for mathematical formulas. Certain Greek characters are mapped to other English characters:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

I think the J key is the ancient Greek character Digamma, very rarely used and the V is lowecase Sigma used at the end of certain Greek words.

Hope this helps.
