Anyone applying for TGC?
 

Hi gals--

I've decided to apply to be a TGC this year. Is anyone else going to go for it?

I'll keep you updated on what happens--I've just started my application and hopefully I'll be writing my essay this weekend. :)

I'm considering applying. :) I checked the website earlier this week (The Arrow said applications would be there in November) and they weren't up yet. I'll have to check again!

They're up now! They're not on the members-only side, though, that confused me at first. They're located on the regular side on the TGC page....

I am applying too! Just started asking for the letters of recommendation today. I've been looking at the website everyday this semester for the application. I'm really nervous/exctied about the whole process.

I just wanted everyone to know that I was called last Wednesday to travel to St. Louis for consultant interviews!!!! I'm so excited for this opportunity and I'll be sure to let y'all know what happens!!!

Congrats!! Just to make it to the interview phase is very exciting! I look forward to hearing all about it.

I just got my letter telling me that I hadn't been chosen for an interview. :( I'm sad because I think it would have been an awesome opportunity, but not too crushed because I have many other options open to me after graduation. :) I'm looking on the bright side.

The letter did say that HQ might be calling in a second group for interviews, so maybe I've still got some hope. :)

^ you never know what will happen, but if you don't get it, don't forget there are many ways to be involved after you graduate. Look at alum club opportunities and down the road AAC opportunities. :)

I know! I'm really thrilled. I just got my ticket/informational packet in the mail yesterday. I'm excited because one of my friends from the President's conference last February is also a finalist and will be interviewing on the same day as me! :)

Awww, that's no fun! I was hoping one of the other GC girls would be going with me. I didn't even realized you'd applied.

It would be cool if there was a second group. The TGC we had for recruitment did mention that they might need extra help next year because of the new officer structure.

Yes, I have news! Unfortunately I was not selected. :(

But my friend from UCF was! (I met her last year at the President's Leadership Academy and then we roomed together at the interviews!) I know that she is going to do a fantastic job!

I went into interviews with high hopes and felt that I did well in the interview, but all of the candidates were so strong I knew immediately that it would be tough to be selected!

I haven't heard who else got it, other than my friend from UCF, yet!

bummer! I heard the name of the new RGC for NC Delta (I believe she's from UT) but not heard any other concrete info. I think they wait for the summer Arrow to "introduce" them.

The new TGC from UCF's name is Laura Creegan. She was our president last year and one of the sweetest girls I've ever met! I'm so proud of her.

:) LAURA IS SO AWESOME! I didn't post her name before because I wasn't sure of secrecy or whatever, but yes, she is just spectacular. When I saw her name on the list of finalists I was thrilled because we'd so hit it off at the Leadership Academy last year!

I know! But, it will all work out! I have other options! ;)
