jesus, did you just straight-ticket "NO" these, or was there a method here?? Specifically I'm thinking of one Supreme Court judge who you'd most likely be very happy to have on staff (you do the math). . . |
I DID! got there at 6:50 and left sometime around 7:10
Surprisingly short lines
Drove by the polling place at 10:30, and there was no line outside.
Inside, I filled out a form, got in a line of about six people (the "L to Z" line), and was done in about 10 minutes. The "A to K" line was about 25 people, and could have taken a half-hour. The elderly poll workers were slow, and there were empty voting screens all the time, because the workers were slow or not enough of them. Outside there were four (all fitting the young gay male stereotype) bitching and signing about the gay marriage amendment, which is poorly written and will probably be rejected by the courts after passage. It's surprising to have voted for several people endored by the lib Atlanta newspaper, but they did endorse GOP Senate candidate Johnny Isaksen and a Republican for County prosecutor. |

The only judge I would have voted yes on is not in my court district (Judge Jeffrey Neary). |
Absentee -- last week.

Sent in my absentee ballot about two weeks ago. :D
Early voting, two weeks ago. Straight Republican ticket.

I voted today!
I was excited, because it was my first time...after I was done I called my parents. I went after class and it took me about fifteen minutes. It was not busy at all, I hope to see a better turn out at 5:00! |
i voted democrat across the board!
was there at 6:45 am. |
i voted. in and out in only 15 min. mums the word on how i voted.
I'm voting once I get out of work...I think everyone knows which way I'm going in the Presidential election, and most of the candidates I favor are Republican.
I voted about an hours ago. Almost straight Libertarian.
I ended up voting for Nader and yes to allowing slot machines in south florida. :p
I voted! And got the traditional "I'm a Georgia Voter" on a peach sticker.
I was going to go before work since the polls in VA opened at 6 am, but there was a line and I really didn't want to be late for work. So I swung by after work, thinking that there would be an even longer line, but in reality I was in and out in 5 minutes. Voted Republican across the board.
Mr. ISUKappa and I voted around 2 this afternoon. No wait at all. I was shocked to hear this was his first time voting, ever, and he's 28.
Pretty much straight Republican except for the local ones where there was either no choice or they didn't have party listed. I mean, how can you go wrong with a Senator that chains three lawnmowers together to mow his lawn. :D I think Mr. ISUKappa voted K/E and then incumbent for the rest. |
Voted first thing this morning (6am) thought I'd be the first one there ... Ha! was about the 30th ... and then I proceed to mess up my ballot and have to get and re-do another one ...
I voted this morning on my way to work (~8am). It took about 15 minutes... most of which was spent finding a place to park.
absentee voted last week :) Republican public school teacher in NYC voting in Florida...i'm an odd case I think.

I voted today as well...for the first time ever. I really don't like politics, so I can't say I had fun doing it, but I do believe that everyone should vote.
I also voted
I voted today...had to wait until after work and picking up Melody, then had to find poll site which was a different site than last election. Was in at 6:12 and out at 6:126 p.m. including the wait, which there was almost none for the K-Z line.
Early voted last week... Democratic across the board...
I voted. Took 15 minutes. :)
I voted! I got there at 6:30pm and was voter #478 in my precinct. I was in and out quickly.
Voted for Kerry (of course), Obama (of course) and mostly straight Democratic, though I did vote for our incumbent state rep, who's Republican (and a friend of our family...he and my dad go way back) |
I voted in the early ballot. Voted for Democrats.
Got in line about 8:10 this morning, and left about 8:30....I was the 90th person to vote at my polling place this morning (my parents beat me :p)
Not saying which way I voted in the "big" races  |
