Beyond Borders!!!!

Hey Ladies two books that I have just finished reading! Check them out!! The Coldest Winter Ever By Sister Souljah and BLACKGAMMON By Heather Neff. This one is a must read. I am almost afraid to ask this question without forming a search first. If the answer is Yes Please send me to that forum. Are there any cyber book groups? If not anyone interested?

Hello Ladies!
This is great. If everyone could submit two book titles that they would like to read that would be great. Also Miss Nik and VctoriasSecrt could you send me your email address so that I can create a group mailing list. Also my school schedule is very light this spring and summer. I could committ to reading a book a week or should we allow more time. What are some suggestions? What are your schedules like? I take my finals next week. Wish me luck and Good luck to you too!!!

kiml122 04-19-2001 01:25 PM

I can't do a book a week. My job already requires me to do tons of reading that I take home at times. I would need just a tiny bit more time http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif, plus I travel a bit for my job.

I want to join too.
I love to read, I just finished "Mama Day" by the lady that wrote 'Women of Bruster Place'. It was a good book.
I know you all have read all of E. Lynn Harris books..ok http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Questions: is it only for Black Authors or can we pick any book? Because I love Amy Tan (Joy Luck Club) and I have to get her new book 'The Bonediggers Daughter'(I think that's the tittle)
Romance or not? Sci-Fi or not?
let a sista know

Has anyone heard of the book The Broke Diaries: The Completely True and Hilarious Misadventures of a Good Girl Gone Broke ? Seems kind of interesting. . I just read about it in Honey Mag. I think I could have added a chapter to that one.

Greetings...

Have any of you thought about going to yahoogroups to join some of the bookclubs online or starting one specifically for GC members? Some of the already existing ones are R.A.W. Sistaz and The G.R.I.T.S. Their websites are:

R.A.W. Sistaz - www.rawsistaz.com
The G.R.I.T.S.- www.thegrits.com

As an author (I won't tell you which one... discretion remember?), I have found them to be very helpful. Have you considered reading ebooks for discussions as well?

However, if you expect for authors such as myself or any others to send you review copies of our books there are a few things that I know of that you need to do. Email me privately and you should receive your answer by Monday.

Hello!
I think that the first book should be selected from these three titles Flyy Girl, Just as I am or Sorority Girls. Please let me know which title you are interested in so that we can began. Let's start with a book a month. I have began to do more research about book clubs on line. Liked the two previous postings. Have a good day.

Ok, I am going to have to back out of the book club http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif. Unfortunately I have way to much reading to do with work, and with the work that I do, I must be up on it. Let me tell you that right now, I am way behind on it......it's boring need I say more. I need all my spare time right now to try and stay focus on my work reading, so I not going to be able to join at this time.
