The second guys look like he beats up on the first guy a lot. And he looks like he eats a lot of pies and licks his fingers afterwards.

Rudey,

the first guy is from your alma matter. Dr. Rais, MA from Notre Dame and PhD from U of Chicago in Political Science.

The second guy is the former security czar. He is also a retired 3 stars general. He also has a PhD in Agricultural Economics.

ETA: He's a 4 Stars general.

DGqueen17 10-22-2004 11:53 AM

I'm not sure that I will even vote. This is the first presidential election that I can actually vote in and to be honest I haven't been paying attention to either side.

Even though pretty much my entire family is Republican, I hate to vote when I don't really know anything about either side. Basing it purely on my upbringing....I'd go with Bush.

mu_agd 10-22-2004 12:03 PM

On a more humorous note, I was volunteering at a community center one night, and this guy came in looking for Kerry-Edwards signs. We didn't have any (and probably shouldn't, since we're a 501(c)3 org). So I called the Dems HQ to see if he could find one there, but I was really tired, and asked, "Do you have any Kerry-Bush signs?" Luckily, the person on the phone had a sense of humor.

AGDee 10-22-2004 01:32 PM

My son has been busily counting yard signs and keeping track of how many there are for each candidate around town. Last night, he spotted a house with one sign for each! Must be a husband and wife who don't agree so they have BOTH yard signs...

chideltjen 10-22-2004 01:38 PM

There is a huge Bush/Cheney sign across the street from my apartment complex. Maybe a 24x36 on posts on some entrance to a culdasac.

I mean it's one thing to see those little lawn stakes... it's another to post a mini billboard on someone's front lawn. I don't care who the candidate is... THOSE things are tacky.

On my way to school I see two of those... one is Bush and a few houses down is Kerry. I hate them. I can see businesses doing it, but not households.

Just Mrs. Cheney. Title of First Lady only goes to the wife of the President.
