Sorority t-shirt ideas
 

I noticed that there is a thread with ideas for frat t-shirts, but none for sorority t-shirts!! Does anyone have any ideas???

What kind of shirts are you looking for ideas for? If you do a search on GC, there's a lot of threads on different Rush/Bid Day shirts.

I'm looking for just a shirt for anything (rush, philanthropic, bid day...). I did see threads with some ideas, but most of them are for frats. I was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas for sororities.

I think for a general purpose shirt it would be cute to have "We Work Like Clockwork" with the sorority and fraternity letters as the "numbers". Course this depends on how many you have! Great for when you do all- panhel things or campus wide greek events.

We use our motto a lot (To Thine Own Self Be True) because it's spiffy and we can do a lot with it. We have really awesome art majors.

We wanted to do (letters here); WE'RE NOT WIERDOS!. Because that seems to be our "stereotype" on campus...the non-sorority girl sorority girls. Whatever that means.

I've seen a bunch of really cute t-shirt slogans, from my chapter and from the 7 other sororities on campus. Some ideas..

I was VP of Recruitment for my chapter this year and threw around MILLIONS of ideas for shirts....at our Regional Conference we do a big T-shirt swap and all of our Regional and National Officers loved this one chapter's shirt that said "If you're an Alpha Phi raise your hand. If not raise you're standards!" We fell in love with it and were so intent on using it, but we decided to improve our Panhellenic relations we would use a more "positive" shirt. We finally settled on ALPHA PHI on the front and OBVIOUSLY!! on the back.,....they were hot!!

(but after all the daggers were stabbed in our back from other chapters during recruitment we now wish we HAD used those shirts!!;) it's ok there's always next year!!

another cute one for Alpha Phis is the AC/DC logo but instead it's A(phi symbol)/DC and on the back it says "You Shook Me All Night Long Winter Formal 2003"

Some of our old ones were...."If you had 2 wishes what would the other wish be?" "Be a little crazy, make things worthwhile, then remember it all with a laugh and a smile" "They say it's lonely at the top, but how would they know?" A really cute shirt that Pi Phi had on our campus was "Daddies Love Us, Girls Envy Us, Boys Chases After Us, Angels Watch Over Us....Thank God I'm A Pi Phi!"


sorry I'm a little obsessed with shirts!

I'm part of one of the smallest locals on campus, and for our shirts for pledging this fall, on the front, we have Kappa Delta Chi, with Fall 2004 underneath it, and on the back, we have "It's not the size of the group that matters, it's how you use it."

We made really cute shirts this year that said "Proud to be a Sigma" on the front, the back lists all the awards and the years in which we won those awards since our founding on this campus.

I saw a Pi Phi shirt that said "Filled with Angels, but One Hell of a Sorority" that was really cute

rebelsweetheart: that's so cute. I love it. Maybe my chapter will use it sometime...

If you go on Greek101.com and look through their gallery of t-shirt designs, you can get lots of slogan ideas. Most of them have been used a *lot* but they're still cute.

I am from a small campus and for our three days of recruitment this year we did this:
Day 1....Starbucks
It had the starbucks logo with "Delta Zeta A Blend Of Love Laughter and Friendship written in it, then our favorite..on the back it read Caution: Contents Hot.
Day 2....Tiffany's
We just had teal t-shirts that read "Please Return To Delta Zeta & Co. Founded 1902" in silver.
Day 3....Coke theme
We had baseball tees that had the coke logo on them, only they said Delta Zeta instead of coke...there is a really cute song that goes with it.
Bid Day....Two letters, One Choice, No Regrets

" There are 2 kinds of ppl in this world, ppl who are greek.....and ppl who wish they were.

Just ideas that should work with almost any letters hopefully!! Good Luck!!

That sounds so cute, I love the "contents hot" part! One of my sisters has a friend who's an Alpha Phi at another school and they got shirts that said "float like a butterfly, sting like a phi" and I think that's a cute slogan!

DZ at my school had their bid day shirts that are pink and say "Who says you can't always get what you want?"

I got a shirt the night I got in that says "one greek letter, three times better"

we had summer terms at dartmouth...my favorite shirt was the letter play of Kamp Kappa. It was super cute.

The Sigmas on campus here have had some really cute ones, like Pink shirts that say "Pretty in pink" on the front, then on the back "perfect in purple" with sigma letters.

Or just one sigma on the front with "all the greek you need to know" on the back.

My chapter has shirts that have a picture of two girls with a boy between them, one girl is wearing letters, and that girl and the boy are kissing. Underneath it says 'You picked the right one, baby!"

We thought about doing "There's something about the red, buff, and green ones" but the ASTs here have one already that says "there's something about the green ones."

We have others that say "It's tough being the best, but around here it's tradition." We got a LOT of crap about that one on campus though because they came in right after we'd won greek week for like the 2nd time in a row and everyone thought we were being cocky. We ordered them before greek week though.

Hey... we used that one fall for recruitment.

Last semester we had grey shirts with zebra screen printed letters on the front and then on the back said "Take a walk on the wild side!"

We did rush shirts with the Cheers theme on it a while ago. I think the design is on Greek 101 too. On the back it said "Go where all your sisters know your name..."

You took all the good ones on our campus!!!

But there were some from the past that are kindda cool

"Sisterhood's a beautiful thing"--which I guess an Eat'n Park waiter said to our sisters.

the classic GO GREEK with the letters or CFLLSGS

This year our shirts were black with Everyone Loves a Kappa Lambda Psi Girl on them in pink surrounded by pink hearts, a play on the Urban Outfitters shirts. We all loved them so much.

I saw a girl wearing "Everyone loves a Kappa Girl" the other day.... I assume she was a KKG though. It was very very cute... I want one. Only with my letters of course :)

Haha funny story about that. We were originially going to get different shirts made, but when our New Member Mom went to the screenprinters, she saw shirts that said Everyone Loves an ACW girl and she and I both liked them so much that we decided to get those instead. :)

although we did make alum shirts for homecoming last year...

If we go back to that screenprinters, I'll see if I can buy just that one shirt for you. It won't be till the summer though.

our t-shirts for recruitment this semester said a spoonful of Theta Phi makes college life more fun. last semester when i was pledging they said if you're gonna go greek why not be a goddess

There was a girl wearing the cutest bid day shirt at the gym the other day. It was pink and on the back it had the GREASE car on it but instead of saying GREASE on the inside it said PHI MU in the weird letters. Below the car it said "You're the one that I want" "BID DAY 2XXX"

I just thought that it was too cute.

we had greek week shirts that said "Phi Sigma Sigma, Greek Goddesses" Then on the back it said, "Prepare to Worship"

Then we had other greek week shirts that had the number of girls in the chapter, on the back it said "just a reminder of how many butts you'll be kissing when this is over"

I saw the cutest shirt yesterday on an airplane.

On the front it said, "Have the time of your life"

and on the back it had a stylized outline of the dirty dancing: havana nights couple & said on top "all over again" and underneath is said, "old havana cocktail 2004"

it was extremely simple but it looked fabulous.

My chapter at the University of Missouri had those as our bid day shirts last fall. They said "Everyone Loves a Kappa Girl" on the front with hearts, and just a fleur-de-lis with "Bid Day 2004" on the back at the neck...

They were SO cute!! Actives had pink shirts with white print and new members had white shirts with pink print. Unfortunately, mine's an XL which is WAY too big... I wish it fit!

We got the "Everyone loves a Kappa Delta girl." shirts when we won Chapter of the Year for a second time for obvious reasons:) .

My favorite shirts though were our Greek Week shirts from 2003. Our dance team was doing a Tarzan theme for variety show so they were red with "Kappa Delta" on the front and on the back they said "Me KD. You Jealous." They were very cocky but very cute.

Okay, I'm not Greek, but I love coming up with T-shirt slogans for anything.....why not go with a "popular brand name" theme? For example:

-"Chi Omega" in white script on a red shirt, like the Coca-Cola logo (isn't red a Chi-O colour anyway?)

-"Kappa Delta" in yellow on a navy blue background, like the Kraft Dinner logo.

-A "Trident" logo, but instead of "Trident," it'd say "Tri-Delt." Green would work best, because the green mint flavour of Trident gum is probably the most popular, but I'm not sure what the colour for Tri-Delta is, so whatever it is, that colour would probably be the one to go with.

-The "Sex and the City" logo, but instead, it'd say "Sigma Kappa and the City." (Could also work with "Sigma Delta Tau," or "Sigma Sigma Sigma.")

-Or, if you don't want to do the brand name thing, you could put your letters on the front of the shirt, and on the back, write "Inside this shirt is ONE WONDEFUL WOMAN!!! ABC Sorority."

Oh, by the way.......the A Phi/DC logo idea is SO CUTE.......and I hate heavy metal music, lol. But still, major props to whoever came up with that one. :)

We've had houses use almost all of those ideas!!:)

Pi Phi had the Coca Cola shirts... Pi Phi was written like the logo and "Classic" was written underneath... red shirts with white print for actives... white with red print for new members.

Tri-Delt used the Trident shirt a few years ago. (I believe.) It was such a cute design that the shirt hangs in the window of the store that printed them downtown...

Chi O did the "Sex and the City" thing just this year...

Okay, how about "Chi-O" written like the Cheerios logo on a yellow shirt? Has that been done too? Wow.....you're right, coming up with original T-shirt ideas that haven't been done before IS hard.

Ours were "orginal flavor" color (blue) and instead of 5 sticks it said "51 chicks" because thats how many people signed our charter (it was the first semester after we went national) and on the back it said "WHO WANTS TRI DELT? I DO!! I DO!!"

My mom's chapter won Greek Week way back when and had bumper stickers made that said "Kappa Delta: It's hard to be humble when you're No. 1." There was some song that line was in that was a huge hit then. We found a sticker over spring break when we were cleaning out the cedar chest. :D

There was a cute shirt the ADPis here had from a few years ago. It had a tiger paw and ADPi letters on it and said "The two best decisions I ever made." Everyone (i.e., other sororities) thought it was cute, except for the fact that the paw looked too much like Clemson's logo. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just a bit misleading if you can't see it's an Auburn shirt right off.

The Tri-Delts here did a play on the Delta Airlines logo... I can't recall for the life of me exactly what it said, but it was ADORABLE!

We did one that said Sisterhood is brought to you by the letters and then underneath it had big bird holding AXO.

There was one that we did with a diamond that said Sisters Are Forever.

Another sorority did one with the mike's hard lemonade logo but it had their letters inside and underneath it said sisterhood with a kick...
