Here is another fun thread to waste time at work....


I'll start a story, then the next person adds on something to it and so on and so on.


Once apon a time a very beautiful girl, in her first year of college at Georgia State Technical University, ('GSTU' for short) became the newest member of the wildly popular sorority Alpha Delta Pi.

She was so incredibly excited that she had been chosen to become one of the "first and finest". She loved being an Alpha. Things became extremely exciting when it was the weekend for chapter retreat....

... which was held at an old Georgian mansion, rumoured to have belonged to the descendants of Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald. Imagine her surprise upon arriving when she saw....

...more than 100 sisters dressed in antebellum hoop skirts, with sausage curls, parasols and sunhats! It was if she had taken a step backwards in time! One of the ladies stepped forward, handed her a nosegay of violets and said...

"I do declare, you look marvelous!" And then she...

woke up...

....stretched, showered, and got ready for the day. Smiling at her reflection (complete with Alpha pin), she grabbed her backpack and headed out the door. Taking the stairs...

... down to the dining room of the Alpha Delta Pi house. She loved that she was able to move into the house so soon! She sat at the table with her fellow sisters and...

was surprised to see that the Alphabits cereal only contained the letters A, D, P, and I!! The sister sitting next to her whispered, "Try the low-fat chocolate milk on them!" and passed the strawberries. The Alpha beamed and...

finished her delicious breakfast. She then went to the kitchen, grabbed a diet coke, and hurried out the front door of the sorority house. She didn't want to be late for...

her "all about Buffy" class. She had watched the show occasionally. One of her closest friends (and now a Alpha with her) loved Buffy so she agreed to take it with her. When she walked into the classroom five minutes later she was shocked to see.....









(FYI: I actually met a sister at the DG chapter who was taking a Buffy class, so colleges are offering classes on TV shows. LOL)

a Pi Phi pin, when everyone knows that she's a Theta? Even more interesting was the Pi Kappa Alpha pin that she wore with it!

They sat down next to Jenna, who whispered, "I saved y'all seats. The professor just said..."

"..we're not having our test today because we have a special guest lecturer..".

The professor entered the class with a distinguished person behind him. "Class, we are very privileged to have with us today a very special guest. An unannounced visit allows us the opportunity to meet with this person and have a chance to discuss current issues. It is my pleasure to introduce to you ..."

"Allison Hannigan. As you all should be aware she starred for seven seasons as Willow Rosenburg on Buffy. She has also starred in all the American Pie movies."

The class was in awe. They never in their wildest dreams expected someone famous to show up at their school.

"Hello" Allison said, "So I thought I would let you all ask me some questions first off.

Immediately 25 hands were raised and the questions began.

The first question was whether or not she really could play the flute.

The class exploded with laughter. After 30 minutes of continuous questions (mostly about whether or not the cast of the 'American Pie' movies ever hooked up), Allison Hannigan left. As Cassie was leaving the lecture hall, Spencer, the president of Sigma Xi stopped her.

"Umm..hi..Cassie. I didn't know that you had this class. I'm in it too...my advisor said I needed another arts elective..." His milk chocolate brown eyes stared at Cassie as his long strong fingers rubbed his notebook.

Cassie, startled, looked at this gorgeous Adonis and leader of the strongest and best fraternity on campus, standing next to her. "Yeah..a friend of mine recommended the class and the prof to me. So, how do you like it so far?"

"It's pretty cool..that guest speaker was really great. It's a good thing too; I don't think I was quite ready for that test. So..I was wondering, do you want to get together to study later on this afternoon?"

Cassie mentally thought of the all things she had to do that afternoon:
1) get manicure and pedicure
2) pick up laundry from dry cleaner
3) plan out classes for next semester with advisor

"You know, I don't think I have anything planned, but I need to go back to the house to pick up a few things..."

...I walked to class, did you? You drove....well, in that case, could you give me a ride to my house real quick?

The ride back to the house was remotely quiet and quick. I quickly ran into the house, grabbed all my stuff about Buffy and headed back out to the car. We then decided to go to the local Starbucks to study.

"Well you are in luck, my friend is a huge Buffy fan so I know almost everything about the show even though I have barely watched it. I'm sort of ready for this test."

"Cool, since you know so much, quiz me."

"Okay" I paused "How many times has Buffy died and in what seasons, bonus if you can name the episodes."

He sat there, driving and thinking. After about five minutes he finally answered.

"She has died twice. The first time was in season one, the second in season five. The episode names were Prophecy Girl and The Gift."

"Good job"

"We are almost there, give me one more." He asked

"Hmm" I thought "What season was the musical and what was the name of it?"

He smiled and quickly answered "I know this one, it was in season six and the name was Once More With Feeling"

"Correct" I answered with a smile.

He pulled the car into a spot right in front of Starbucks. We quickly exited the vehicle, both grabbing our backpacks. We walked into the Starbucks and were shocked to see.....









FYI: Is it obvious that I'm a HUGE Buffy fan!!!!!LOL. Oh second, why doesn't the guy have a name yet?

...her parents sitting down at one of the tables having coffee. "Momma? Daddy? What are you doing here?" Cassie couldn't believe they were here. They lived almost 3 hours away! "Oh, hi honey!" Her mom said. "Your father and I wanted to surprise you. We felt horrible for not being here to help you move into the sorority house, so we decided to drive up here and take you to lunch." Her mother walked up to her and kissed her cheek. "My, my, who do we have here? Cassie, you never told us you were seeing anyone." Cassie's face was red. "Momma, we're...

......friends, he and I are in the same class together and we were going to study for the test together.

Spencer, I would like you to meet my mom and dad, Juila and Brian McKay.

Mom and Dad, this is Spencer, he is the president of Sigma Xi.....

"Sigma Xi..wow..what a coincidence, " said Dad. "Cassie, you knew of course, that I was a Sigma Xi at my college, didn't you?"

"Um no I thought you were a Sigma Chi"

"No, no, no. That was your mothers first husband. He was a Sigma Chi."

"Mom was married before you?" Akward silence..............

"Honey, why don't you and your friend join us for lunch?"

To Cassie's surprise, Spencer said, "Thank you asking! I'd love to go..." he looked at Cassie, "If it's alright with Cassie."

"Well we really should study, but I guess..." "Terrific," said Spencer, "Mr. McKay, If you don't mind, I would love to talk to you about your experience with Sigma Xi." "Sure Spencer, but please call me Brian. We're brothers now you know." Cassie and Spencer walked out of Starbucks with her parents. "We're parked over here." Her father said. "How about we meet you kids at the country club?" "That's a splendid idea. What a perfect time for brunch!" Mrs. McKay's face lit up.

As Cassie climbed into Spencer's Z71 Tahoe, she wondered if letting Spencer spend time with her parent's was such a good idea. She loved them dearly, but they tended to flaunt their wealth. Cassie wasn't like that at all, and she was afraid Spencer might get the wrong impression of her.

Spencer was worried about the very same thing. "I hope she doesn't want me for my Z71 and all my other things" he thought to himself.

He opened the door for her and helped her in (he had a lift kit and custom rims put on, so the Tahoe is taller than normal) and smiled as he shut the door.

She watched him as he walked around the truck to get in. "Wow, is he gorgeous!" she thought. Visions of beautiful children flashed in her head. "Stop that! I just talked to him today", she said to herself, thinking how silly she was for such a thought. Spencer got in the truck and caught her gaze. "What are you thinking about?"

"Oh, uh...Nothing." (pauses to take a breath)
"Have you ever eaten at the country club before?" she asked.

Spencer replied, "Well, the one at home. This will be a new one for me." Flashing his million dollar smile, he asked, "Do I need a coat and tie, or will this do?"

"You look just fine!" Cassie said, knowing, in her heart, that he looked very fine indeed! "Just remember to use the silverware."

They laughed as Spencer put the Z91 in gear and took off.

Cassie thought to herself, "This is almost too easy. I wonder if..."

..he is feeling a connection between us too." Cassie looked over at Spencer who was concentrating on the road. "Stop being silly Cassie," she thought to herself, "We talked for the first time today. He probably just heard that I knew a lot about the class and figured if he studied with me, he would pass the test."

Five minutes later they pulled up to the front entrance of 'The Willow Glen Country Club'. A valet opened Cassie's door and helped her down. Spencer then gave his keys to the other valet who was waiting to park his SUV.

Spencer walked over to Cassie. "Here we are." he said. As they walked into the club, Cassie's cell phone began to ring. She looked down at the caller ID. It was her best friend Melanie. "Excuse me for a second." she told Spencer. "Hi hun!" she said answering the phone. "Cass, where are you? I thought...

......we were going to get a manicure and pedicure together at 1 pm. I'm calling to see if we are still going?

Cassie replied "oh shoot, I'm sorry, something came up. My parents came up and surprised me. Spencer and I were at the coffee shop when I saw my parents, now we are going to lunch with them. I hope you can forgive me"

"Who is Spencer? I'll forgive you Cassie, if you give me the details." Malanie asked excitedly.

Mel, umm can I tell you later, he's right here. said Cassie

Sure Cas, give me a call when you're free, I expect a full report when you call. Tell your parents i said Hi and have a good time. :)

Cassie hanged up the phone, and said to Spencer, ready to go in??.....

...you were going to help us make posters for RMH Philanthropy day next week?

"Oh my gosh, I totally forgot. My parents came into town, and we're about to eat lunch." So I'm not lying completely, I'm just not telling all of the story, Cassie thought to herself.
" Melanie, can I call you back later? Let's make the posters tonight, okay?"
"Cassie, is everything okay? What's going......?"
"Uh, I gotta go, Melanie, call ya later, bye."
Melanie's voice trailed off as Cassie hung up the phone. "Cassie, wait, what's........."

Cassie and Spencer walked to the back patio overlooking the club's golf course. Mrs. McKay was standing next to a table adorned with tea lights and a fresh bouquet of magnolias. "Where's daddy?" Cassie asked. "Oh, he'll be back in a few minutes sugar," Mrs. McKay replied, "he spotted Mr. Jones and went to talk to him about Graham." Cassie forced a smile.

Graham was her ex-boyfriend. They had dated all through high school. She was head cheerleader, and he was the quarter back of the football team. Everyone thought they would get married but...

...then Graham was named the leading "suspect" in four paternity tests. He had never laid a wayward hand on Cassie, but it certainly looked as if he had touched a few other lives! Their breakup had been dramatic, and in Cassie's eyes, final.

"You'll have to forgive Daddy," Cassie said to Spencer. "He's busy with the Appliance King's Heir Apparent," rolling her eyes.

Mrs. McKay was shocked. "Cassie! You know your father..."

"...is Graham's father's partner!"

"Mom, Dad's over talking to Graham in the hopes of making sure that his job remains secure since Graham and I are no longer dating."

Spencer started to look a little uncomfortable. Cassie noticed, and quickly changed the subject by asking him......

"Are you getting pumped up about all of the Greek Fest activities next week?"

Spencer smiled, "I was excited, until I found out the match-ups. I really don't care for the..."

"....sorority we were matched with. I was really hoping to be paired with the ADPis." Spencer smiled winningly at Cassie, and her heart melted.

Just then, her father came back to the table and said to Spencer....

"So, Spencer, what's your major?"
"I am pre-med. I plan on becoming a peditirician (sp?) some day. I love kids!! I want to have three of my own and then maybe adopt some." We looked at Cassie with a huge grin across his face, "so how many kids do you want, Cas?"

Cassie had to think quick. She couldn't ask him if that meant he was planning on having them with her, which is what she was thinking. "Ummm, I would like to have four, two girls and two boys." Just then the waiter walked up.
"Welcome to The Willow Glen Country Club. What can I get you lovely ladies anything to drink today? "I'll have a champagne," said Ms. McKay, "I'll have a diet coke, please." Cassie said. Mr. McKay ordered a beer and turned to Spencer, "Spencer would you like a brusky too?"
