room raiders go greek!

there are two sorority houses from Rutgers University featured on mtv's room raiders today. i don't know if any of you guys are watching it, but i am! i decided to post this on their commercial.

greekgirl1983 09-28-2004 04:48 PM

could you make out what sorority it is?
i thought i saw sigma phi something...but im not totally sure.

velouria 09-28-2004 04:50 PM

there is a gamma phi beta pillow in room#3.
I missed the beginning, so I don't know any other details. do all 3 live in the one house? are they from separate houses? are they all greek girls?

missing show beginning and being confused sucks. hah.

LauGh A Lot 09-28-2004 05:17 PM

they're all in sororities, but two of them live in the same house and the blonde one lives in a different house.

BlondeGurl 09-29-2004 11:07 AM

The blonde had a gamma phi beta jewelry box in her room. I think they are all in the same sorority. I only watched the beginning, but I knew there would be something about it on here so I wasnt worried. haha. Who did he end up with?

IvySpice 09-29-2004 11:37 AM

Could anyone read the letters on the guy's shirt? It looked like sigma something tau.

Glitter650 09-29-2004 11:51 AM

Didn't catch the letters on his shirt.. but the girls were definitely Gamma Phis... he ended up with the girl with short dark hair (roomnumber three with all the zebra stuff) Was the other girl (second to be dismissed or whatever w/light brown hair) seriously upset when she didn't get picked or was she just pretending ? I thought that was a bit akward.

AXORissa 09-29-2004 11:57 AM

nice recruitment method, being that its Rush week... haha.

They've had Rutgers on Room Raiders before, I think there was an SDT last season. Her apartment was across the street from my sorority house! :)

haha she was faking it. I thought that was hilarious.

jharb 09-29-2004 05:16 PM

The guy was in Sigma Beta Tau I believe. They showed a big wall decoration at the end and that's what it looked like.

kwazi19 09-30-2004 09:08 AM

over the summer there was a member of Sammy from FIU on the show

There is no Sigma Beta Tau at Rutgers unless its a local that I've never heard about (and locals arent all that big)... we do have Zeta Beta Tau... and Sigma Delta Tau but obviously thats an NPC sorority :)

no. on that episode, i think only two were gphib's and one was a chi omega. i saw a XO picture on her dresser.

today's episode, the girl is an Alpha Phi

kk_bama 09-30-2004 08:36 PM

Yay for GPhiB. I hope IH approved it, haha.

;)

TigerLilly 10-01-2004 12:00 AM

I just watched an episode that had one guy from either Kappa Alpha or Kappa Sigma. They blurred the letters but I could tell it was a 2-letter name starting with K. The house was a bit messy...
Then the 2nd guy also lived in his fraternity house, but I didn't see any letters.

He was Kappa Sigma, I've been in that house a million times. and the other house looked like the new Sig Ep house.

the Kappa Sig house is what fraternities look like at Rutgers. SO GROSS.

hahaha. That is why (besides being a classy girl ;) ) I never stayed overnight at a Fraternity house. Besides, my house was also on frat row, I just had a to walk a minute to get to my nice clean sorority house :)

I believe it was Sig Ep. The colors were purple and red and I saw S and what looked like an E on the big wood thing (looked like a beruit table???:p)

That girl.. was a dork. hahahaha.

YEah, I couldnt tell by the look of the house (they got a new house after I graduated) but from the street it looked like the location of where the Sig Ep house is now.

i think the girl went to another school. i know i saw Chi O in two places in her room

PiLove 10-08-2004 01:30 AM

I love watching room raiders. I now that they are on this "greek" kick I watch it even more, but something kinda ticks me off. They fraternity houses are pretty dirty. Although it is funny to see how incompetent men are at simple domestic duties I rather see a classy frat than a sloppy one. So, c'mon guys, clean up!!! For the sake of the greek reputation as a whole. No more animal house!! I hope an ADPi is on soon, that would be awesome. I've noticed alot of DG's, AXO's and GPhiB's on MTV.

AznSAE 10-08-2004 12:59 PM

on one episode there was a small bottle of pee. whats up with that?

AznSAE 02-07-2005 05:18 PM

bumping thread because this past weekend had nothing but room raiders goes to college and the school was the university of georgia.

i saw a car sticker that had sigma chi letters.

and, the other one was a fraternity guy picking one of the three girls. he had his brothers come together and then he gave each of the girls paddles. i dont know which fraternity he was in.

i dont think any of the girls on the show were greek. could be wrong though.

KSUViolet06 02-07-2005 05:25 PM

I recently saw the episode where a GA Tech Beta Theta Pi (it was pretty obvious because the letters on the house weren't covered) brought all 3 ladies back to the chapter house to choose one. They were greeted at the door by the entire chapter, and given blank paddles as souvenirs. He chose one young lady, but the other 2 were allowed to stay because they ended up having a party.

Coramoor 02-07-2005 05:49 PM

I just saw the Beta one last night.

I thought it was pretty funny, especially when the three chicks walked into his room in the frat house and found another girl already in there.

I don't know which fraternity he was in, but didn't he go to GA Tech?

There was one with 3 girls who went to georgia and a guy from the football team was raiding their rooms and one girl said something about not being a sororstitute.

Yea, all of my friends and me got really excited when the UGA ones came on and whenever they showed shots of the town were like OMG, I know where that is!! haha, were dorks, I know

ksig600 02-07-2005 06:48 PM

Room raiders was here in Atlanta for a while....

The guy in the GA Tech episode is a Beta...One of the girls I know is a Phi Mu at GA State

My former roommate is on one of the episodes, the one with The Donnas. She isn't greek but we are still close friends and I think the episode is halarious mainly because she totally doesn't act like herself.

One of my sorority sisters was picked for round two of auditions for Room Raiders at UGA but unfortunately didn't make it past that audition because MTV found out they couldn't show our letters.

Still, I love the college room raider episodes especially the ones with greeks.
