What other chapters of your org have you visited/have visited you?

The girls from Defiance College (Eta Iota) came up for our Retreat. They were very nice, sweet girls, they even taught us some new cheers! They were in awe of our house (very small) b/c they don't have one.

We are planning on having the Marshall Univ. (Psi) chapter up for homecoming since that's who we play. We are also taking a Thanksgiving road trip to our Alpha chapter @ Longwood.

I've visited many a Kappa Phi chapter (this is my 3rd year as an active). My freshman year- we attended a conference @ our Bloomsburg Univ (Beta Epsilon) chapter in PA. Soph. year we visited WV Wesleyan College (Alpha Sigma). The chapters usually housed us in their appartment or dorm suite since Kappa Phi is a service org. and doesn't have houses.

Sister Havana 09-24-2004 02:57 PM

I attended APO sectionals at Alpha Gamma (Purdue). Tau Lambda (Rose-Hulman) loved to roadtrip and they visited us a couple times.

And pretty much every chapter in Region 6 came to IU for Regionals in November 1995. That was so much fun. :)

AUDeltaGam 09-24-2004 04:36 PM

I have visited (and stayed at the house) the Delta Lambda chapter at Mississippi State...what a gorgeous house!

kappaloo 09-24-2004 05:06 PM

But you know, I'm not too big on road tripping. I wish I could do it more, but it just hasn't happened like that.

Xylochick216 09-24-2004 08:20 PM

I've visited Epsilon Chi (UNC-CH... we had my initiation there since we didn't have a house at the time) and Iota Omicron (Lynchburg College). We've had Zeta Xi (UNC-G) come up for mock recruitment twice. I'm glad that all three chapters I've met many sisters from are fabulous :)

The semester before we charted, the chapter at Schreiner came down to visit us.

It was something like twenty girls and we talked and discussed so many things.

They really gave us a reason to continue(it was a struggle, believe me!)

They got an award for their visit at convention. ;)

nauadpi 09-25-2004 12:22 PM

I visited the UC berkeley house this past spring... And then last week I went and met the CSU Sacramento chapter...

scuthetagirl 09-25-2004 06:27 PM

I just went yesterday to visit the Thetas at University of California Davis. Me and about 7 of my sisters and our based ELC Kerri ate dinner with them and then pretended to be PNMs to help them practice for their house tour/video night. Their house is really awesome, and the girls are SO COOL! It was a little overwhelming---imagine 8 people being rushed by 60 people---but exciting. They were so easy to talk to. I'm glad my bro is going to Davis in the fall (moves in today, actually!) and I hope he dates a Theta there, b/c they're awesome!

CardinalSM 09-25-2004 06:34 PM

I have visited the Eta Deltas (Univ of FL) and have met sisters from Samford and UGA who have come by our house, plus sisters from other chapters that I can't remember off of the top of my head.

We are very close with our Delta Delta (CSI) chapter, and we might do something with our Beta Xxi (I think...Queens College) chapter this fall

Wow, you went to a conference at Bloom for Kappa Phi? When I was there (graduated in 1996), they didn't have a ton of members, and most people didn't even know who they were. One of the girls I worked with was in it, which is why I heard of it. Hope you had fun though :)

As for Chapters of D Phi E I've been to...wow...

SUNY Oneonta
The College of NJ
Rider University
Rowan University
Millersville University
York College of PA
LaSalle University
Philadelphia University
Drexel University
University of Pittsburgh
Widener University
West Chester University
University of Southern Indiana (closed now)
University of Maryland - College Park
Rutgers University - Camden (closed now)

That's what I can think of now LOL I'm sure there are more!

Yeah it was back in my freshman year (Oct. 2002). Their chapter is doing very well now and is up to 30+ girls!

thetagammachica 09-28-2004 09:53 AM

We have a regional conferenece every year, and there are around 6 chapters that get together from our area.

Iowa State
Nebraska
Madison
Oshkosh
Lawrence
Minnesota
Miami, OH (Alpha)
MTSU (old house)
Auburn

I have been in countless other greek houses too - usually after about a 12 pack on road trips, I'd meander into their houses...Theta Xi at Nebraska, Sigma Chi at Minnesota, Sigma Chi, Phi Tau and SAE (??) at Miami, OH, Delts, Sig Eps, Phi Delts at Lawrence, Sigma Chi, Skulls at Purdue, sorority houses at Northwestern, Iowa, Iowa State.......the list goes on.

Also being married to an Alpha Xi Delta, I try to get to their houses as well.

lyrica9 09-28-2004 12:24 PM

Gamma Chi at TCU...
hopefully I'll check out the Delta chapter at UT when i go home sometime this month. its been on my to-do list for about a year now.

dzandiloo 09-28-2004 03:24 PM

OK...its been a long time, but here is a list of the chapters I have visited...some as chapter consultant, some just for fun (forgive me for not using their greek letter name)..some are no longer active:

Angelo State
Ball State
Barton College
Bowling Green State
East Carolina
Eastern Illinois
Eastern Kentucky
Florida State
Illinois State
Illinois (U of)
Kutztown
Mansfield
Mars Hill
Memphis State (now U of Memphis...closed)
Middle Tennessee
Muhlenberg
Nicholls State (loved those Cajun people!!!)
North Texas (in '91, when I was still a collegian)
Northern Illinois
Northern Kentucky
Rowan
Southern Illinois (had the best time there!)
St. Cloud State
SUNY-Oswego (closed)
Temple
Texas A&M
Trenton (now the College of New Jersey)
UPittsburgh-Johnstown
West Chester

I visited a chapter in Missouri, but I can't for the life of me remember which one...I got some bad news while I was there, and it was kind of a blur...might have been Truman State, but I'm not sure. All the chapter consultant visits were during the school year '92-93.

Also, I've been to Oxford, OH, but never "visited" with any collegians from the Alpha chapter....

Virtuous Woman 09-30-2004 02:45 PM

Kappa Beta- Polytechnic
Alpha Delta Eta- SUNY Oneanta
Mu Alpha- Georgetown
