How many saw the premiere of "Lost" last night?

I was on the edge of my seat for that one.


Wasn't "Jack" the guy who use to play the big brother on "party of five" a while back ago?

Also, the pilot isn't that the guy from "Alias"?

This show is from the same guys who produce alias...... i thought it was a good show

I thought it was pretty good -- I watched because I'm terribly afraid of flying and wanted to see the scary plane crash part, but I was entertained the whole time. It took me a while to figure out it was him, but I just love Harold Perrineau from Oz.

I taped it, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet...I'll get back to you.

Lost is so scary! Maybe I'm just a wimp, but I found a little too scary for my liking.

I can't believe it's on at 8pm!

All that said, I'll probably end up watching it every week.

I just watched my tape of the first episode, and I'm disappointed in it. It's a bit gruesome and suspensful for the 8:00 time slot. And I'm not sure what they're trying to do with the scary creatures or whatever they are, but I have a feeling it's going to end up a bit too sci-fi for my liking. I won't be taping it anymore.

But I bet the "thing" that's on the island is not so scary once we know what it is.

I got images of Jurassic Park while I was watching it but I'll stil watch b/c I was entertained.

It's because the scenes were shot at scenic Kualoa Ranch on the northeast side of Oahu...just like Jurassic Park over 10 years ago, some scenes from Pearl Harbor a few years ago.

I actually really liked "Lost". Although I too was thinking "Jurassic Park" with the whole monster thing.

Yes, the pilot is from Alias. It was Greg Grunberg, he plays Eric on the show.

Anyone watch last night? I was completely on the edge of my seat and I am REALLY liking that show!
The whole part that the same message had been playing for 16 years and they had no idea where the girl was or anything gave me shivers!
I also think there is way more to the Chinese couple than meets the eye.....

The pilot was also in Felicity, one of the best shows ever.

The distress message was VERY freaky. This is a great show.

i missed a few minutes of it in between last night.....what do you mean by the asian couple? i saw him give her ,the pregnant girl, something to eat last night but i must of missed something before ...did something else happen with them?


This is going to be a good show. That and when Alias comes back on it will make ABC come back alive again.

This has got to be my favorite new show of the season. It's so interesting and I love how each character is being drawn out.

It's one of the few shows that my whole family watches together.

GAWD I LOVE THIS SHOW - apparently they're replaying the first two episodes this weekend so i'll have to check out hour two cause i was late getting in last night...ehhhh

I should not have read this thread. I missed last night's episode BUT I did record it so I'll catch up tonight. I'm excited. I love this show & that's only based on the first episode.

I watched it over the weekend-how awesome! Now I'm definitely going to have to check it out Wed. I cannot believe that Kate was the one with the cuffs! Totally didn't see that one coming.

Someone came knocking at the door right at the car chase scene!

So, last night's episode was good but not as good as the last 2, I thought. I thought it was pretty disgusting when they killed the marshall but didn't really kill him and then Jack(or whatever the doctor's is) had to finish him off. Did he smother him? That's what I was thinking.
I did think it was super sweet when the older man found the dog but let the dad give him to his son but am I the only one that was thinking that if they all got really hungry, the dog would be the first to go?

Actually, something about that man really gives me the creeps. There's something off about him.

I LOATHE that Asian man. He treats his wife like shit & then tells her he loves her. What the hell? Can you say emotionally abusive relationship?

there is something off with the older guy.......he just seems like he has a real creepy leary side.

I did like the end however when he did find the dog and let the dad take the credit. I also liked when the ones who are at odds with one another coming to the aid of the ones they are battling with in some sort of gesture they were passing off to one another.


the guy who cracks me up is the big guy who has been hanging with jack and helping him and calling him dude.


This is going to be a good show. I STILL MISS ALIAS though! Janurary cannot get here fast enough

I finished watching my tapes of the first two episodes yesterday, and then caught last night's episode....Oh My Goodness!

The older gentleman kinda creeps me out (also an Alias actor - Kendall), I kinda got a glimpse of Kate being the prisoner a split second before they showed the flashback to the plane; have we confirmed that the marshall is now dead, or are we just assuming he is since Jack came back out of the tent and all was silent?

I was also feeling the Jurrasic Park vibe in the first episode (when Kate, Jack, and Charlie were looking for the front part of the plane), but haven't noticed it as much in the past two episodes.

I'm wondering if Jack's comment in last night's episode about everyone "dying" in the crash and starting over means that he is hoping to bury some issues as well?

Can't wait for next week! (But give me Alias back anyday!) :D

And as for next week!!! What is going on? Could someone have survived that plane crash on the opposite end of the plane? Or were those images just ghosts?

I think it's possible that there could be other survivors. The back end of the plane broke off before the crash, so they could be somewhere.

I saw a screencap of the Spanish comic book the kid was looking at, and it showed a picture of a large, angry looking polar bear. This makes me wonder what's up with the kid -- whether he has "powers" or something, or if things are connected to him somehow. Also, his dad said he'd find the dog as soon as it stopped raining, and it stopped immediately. I wonder if there's something to that.

Okay, who watched last night?? I was FLOORED when it showed Locke in a wheel chair--it was not what I was expecting at all.
And do you think Locke killed the boar or the monster did?

I'm definately hooked after the last episode.

Did anyone else notice that Locke started running after he found out he wasn't paralyzed anymore? I mean, the guy has been in a wheelchair for four years. But then again, the show IS getting a little twisted.

I think Locke is pretty cool. Weird, but cool.

So how about Locke not being paralyzed anymore? DH and I looked at eachother after he got up and said "oh sure, he's been in a wheelchair for how long, and his muscles haven't atrophied?" Nevertheless, I wanted to kick the little office worker guys butt for antagonizing him. I mean, really. That guy should be canned and sued for talking that way to him.

That guy was a prick. I'd have stuffed a sharpened pencil up his nose years ago for being like that. What a turd.
That whole guy in the black suit w/white tennis shoes was creepy. I wonder what that was all about.

I love this show.

I was completely stunned when they showed Locke as the one in the wheelchair....when I saw the other passengers using the wheelchair to bring wood over to the fuselage, I thought it had been one of the passenger's who died in the crash. Yeah, and Locke's boss....not cool.

The guy in the suit with the white tennis shoes (how odd is that???) reminds me a little of the Sprint PCS guy (okay, from a WAY far off distance, but that's who I immediately thought of) and I cannot figure out how he's going to fit in to the storyline.

The drugs are going to run out really soon....did anyone else think he had been about to take some right before Shannon came up to him to ask him to help fish?? (Maybe it's just me :p)

I can't decide if the monster or Locke killed the boar....Locke seemed pretty bloody all over for him to have killed it, but I've never killed a boar, so what do I know? :o

LMAO! It did strangely resemble the Sprint guy.

So we decided to give Lost a chance this week since our other favorite shows weren't on because of the debates. IT was great!! Unfortunately we missed the first couple but really liked this one and plan to record the others or record our other shows. The creepy guy in the suit....very weird.

She thinks that they are all dead (explaining why the guy in the wheelchair can walk now) and are in a type of "purgatory" until it is determined which way they will go and that the man in the suit is the devil's representative.

I haven't seen it yet myself, but will make sure I see it next week because I've heard so much about it.

Purgatory? Hmmm...interesting theory. We don't want it to get too weird b/c then it will be like the final seasons of X-Files.
This show is just too good. That was weird how the guy was his dad & then the coffin was empty.
