Newest Playboy
The newest Playboy Center fold lists Kimberly Holland From Tx Tech. A Kappa Delta @ 2000. Foxy Lady for sure.
Also in the issue are pictures of ACC COEDs, any other GLOs among them? |
Tom, that issue's been out for awhile, you're behind the times ;)
BTW, KD Girls...what's your feeling on a composite picture being posted on the back of a playboy centerfold page? |
I am a playboy.

I thought nationals didn't allow Playmates to reveal their Greek affiliation. Maybe I'm wrong.

Agree. Good line.

I'm not sure how I would feel to see one of my sisters announcing her affiliation in Playboy.....
I don't have a problem with the mag at all, and if a woman wants to pose, I say go for it. But, I guess I think if she IS a sorority woman, that maybe she should not say so in the magazine.... And posing in front of a composite kinda seems tacky to me. My personal opinion. :) |
I wouldn't have a problem if a sister posed for Playboy. I mean, its not supposed to be looked upon as classy anyways. But I mean, the girl has a hot bod, does whatever she does for a living and she was a member of XYZ. Good for her! By showing her membership to a GLO she now has also shown that not only is she this or that. She does community service, was active on campus, etc. etc.
I would be sooo happy if someone from TBS posed. |
Word has it that Miss October is a student at the University of Houston.

I wonder if its really the chapter that brins these girls up for expulsion? Or alumnae officers working through the chapter.
Alumnae officers can put a lot of subtle pressure on collegians. As far the undergrads, well its really not going to hurt you to have a member in playboy. I can see PNM's now: "Lets not join the popular gorgeous sorority . . . " :p |
But you have to admit, thats a real suck-ass thing to do . . . preach about the progressive equality of women and then expel them for posing in a magazine.
Talk about rampant hypocrisy. I'll even trot out the roll eyes on that one. Its indefensible to do that. It makes a mockery of sisters for life. |
I don't necessarily have a problem with a sister posing for playboy.
I DO have a problem with her bringing her affiliation into it. And not someone just finding out that she's a KD or XYZ. It's her bringing attention to it in the publication. I have not yet seen the publication, but from what everyone is saying it sure seems like it's clearly stated. If she is from University of Houston- we don't even have a chapter there. |

I think she's from your Texas Tech chapter. I can't decide what my feelings are about sorority women who pose for Playboy and reveal their affiliation. On one hand, Playboy models are all gorgeous and who wouldn't want to be able to say their sister "made the grade" so to speak? On the other hand, they do have their bits and pieces out there on display for anyone with five bucks (or however much Playboy costs these days) to see. In the end, it's up to the individual woman and she should be prepared for the consequences, if any. |
If she wants to pose for a magazine that's her choice. However if she used the composite in the photo shoot and her sisters faces are visible in the layout is there recourse for that chapter?. I'd be suprised that they would give permission for their faces to be shown in Playboy.

There was a bunch of talk after the last issue came out of one of the girls having been a member of the AOPi chapter at GMU who transferred in the middle or after freshman year. A large number of guys recognized her from a few years back. However there is some debate as to whether she was actually initiated or if she just pledged.

James, you should read up on some of the statistics available on the prevalance of porn vs. domestic violence, and what CATs and MRIs can reveal is going on in the brains of violent sexual offenders when they view (even soft-core) pornography. While I don't have a problem with her posing, I think there's certainly enough evidence to show porn might be a lot less harmless than we think. And for that reason she probably should've left her letters off the page -- the jury is still out for too many people. I think she has the right to pose, even as a KD active. But she should keep her affiliation OUT. She knew going into it it would be a controversial issue. If she were a Phi Mu active, I think there'd probably be about a 60% chance she'd have her badge yanked by the chapter. (Well, only nationals can really take a badge, so I should say I think the chapter would SUGGEST it be yanked.) BUT, I'm pretty sure she mentioned having graduated. Which means she's not a collegiate. Which means KD nationals probably isn't going to do anything about it. (I don't think Phi Mu nationals would.) If we went after every alumna member who was published in bad light........ oy. |
OMG, the end of the world has decended upon us.
Playboy is pablem in sex magazines as is run By Hefs Daughter. Only reason I get it is my Brother the lazy ass gives it to me for Christmas. Wow, the Human body is more beautiful than the next closest primate. Oh that is right, female humans shave a lot more body than the Male of the species!:p It was just a question but no damn answer! "So, the Girl was a Whore who said she was a KD but still nice looking?" " Not!". A Whore I mean. No one still answered the question. ACC any other GLOs there? Oh, I said she said TX Tech not Houston. Read The Original Post Thank You! |
