Annoying habits

what annoying habits that your ex had that caused you to break up with them???

One of them smiled too much and just acted like he was on prozac just too cheery and bouncy. I couldnt take it and was starting to develop an eye twitch every time he called, emailed or hung out with me....... He was sweet though but I COULDNT TAKE IT ANYMORE.......

You know what's funny, I didn't think anything my boyfriend did annoyed me.....until we moved in together! We've been in our house for a week now, and I am learning so much about him. I just realized that whenever he has nothing to do and is bored, he whistles (that spelling looks really funny). It drives me crazy, but I haven't said anything and I am learning to adapt. I guess that's part of the compromise of moving in together! :)

I'm sure I do things to annoy him as well. However, he never brings stuff like that up. He just deals with it!

ztawinthropgirl 09-13-2004 07:08 PM

He had really wet lips when he kissed. blahhh!

HAHA...... okay, did anyone read my "rant on your ex" post. B/c I posted quite a bit there...... hmmm, let's see - I"m sure I could post more!! Or just go over what I've already posted.

1.) Always thought I was mad at him. Always! I could be sitting on his lap telling him how happy he made me - and I got "are you mad at me?"
2.) Acted retarded!!! I'm not saying stupid, he acted like he had a mental illness. We were at Red Lobster one night and a couple behind us slipped me a 10.00 bill for being so nice and taking him out.
3.) Did I mention in the other post that he farted a lot? I think I did, but I'll say it again.
4.) Talked about people like crazy. This is something that I didn't realize until here recently. When I just started thinking about how mean he was to other people. Or how he'd pretend to be their friends and dog them big time behind their back. He was a girl!
5.) He always told me "how did i get you? you're so above my league" ........but now, I'm just a whore that nobody will ever love. Funny how a breakup will change your status that much.
:p

Okay, thats it for now. Good thread BabyP!! ;)

whiskers in the sink, stuck to the toothpaste he never rinsed out

Open doors and cabinets all over the house resulting in bruised shins all the time

That damn remote control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walking into a room and changing the channel without checking whether anybody else was watching something or randomly surfing channels, settling on things only long enough for you to start to get into it, then POOF, it's gone!

Gawd I love being single!

Oh I just remembered something annoyed the hell out of me!!!!!

6.) So, if it was my turn for *something nice* :D , suddenly, he was tired or didn't feel good, or wanted to just cuddle......... 10 minutes later - IT WOULD BE HIS TURN AGAIN!!!!!

grrrrrr!!!!!!!!

My ex was a complete momma's boy. He lived at home, because she wouldn't let him move out. She bought all of his clothes, wasn't allowed to drive on the interstate or visit me. He had a curfew at the age of TWENTY-ONE!

I'm SO glad we're not together anymore!

hotpie 09-13-2004 10:46 PM

lol, i'll be the first guy here, so yeah...

- she had way too much hair in the sink and the bathroom, she shed like a cat or something.

- whenever she listened to one of my cds, the inserts would go missing and i would find the cd scratched up (i hate that!!)

- whenever she wanted me to do something, she used the phrase, "You should do blah blah..." "You should get..." i hate the would "should" because of her.

- she thought she had some sort of spiritual connection with nature or something. whenever we would go on a walk or out on a picknick, she knew exactly how some animal or plant!! felt. how weird is that?

i moved from minnesota to south florida because of her...
i've never been so free.

I dated this guy once who used to twist his hands all wierd when he talked. He also danced like Elaine from Seinfeld at a wedding I brought him to as a date. I was always self-concious around him cuz he was a bit shorter then me and I could never wear big shoes around him.

DGqueen17 09-14-2004 06:20 PM

One of my ex's carved "I <3 u" into my eyeshadow with a nail file. I guess it might have been cute if i hadnt been my GOOD Clinque eyeshadow. And now everytime I use South Beach I think of that asshole.

DeltaSigStan 09-17-2004 02:55 PM

A girl I used to date always threatened to break up with me if I didn't stop shaking my leg.....EVERYONE DOES THAT!

veemers 09-21-2004 11:13 AM

i always *loved* it when my last bf would come visit me (he lives about an hour away from me) and he would just crawl on my bed right away....and fall asleep. and take a nap until it was time for him to leave.

How does a guy like that actually meet a girl?

Was he also homeschooled?

You know, that sounds strangely like my ex. Maybe they just have that same trait in common.

ZTAngel 09-21-2004 09:29 PM

One of my exes use to like smoking up to 12 bowls a day. It was an annoying habit that I couldn't get past.

ADqtPiMel 09-21-2004 10:20 PM

It's not an ex, and it isn't a breakup-worthy offense, but I hate it that my boyfriend never changes his away messages on AIM.

12 bowls? He deserves a medal or something for having iron lungs and the endurance to handle that.

HA! A medal isn't what I was thinking.... :)

He's cut it back significantly now but he's so fried that I'm surprised he's able to get himself dressed in the mornings.

Yeah - expression of the XcXc variety is especially brutal . . . it's ok though, I blew up her car.

I think the most annoying habit I've ever dated was the incessant need for ego boost - think, "oh I'm looking so bad today." Fishing for compliments is the single most annoying habit ever.

aephi alum 09-22-2004 12:06 PM

I have an ex who was very insecure and clingy. He was too insecure to break up with me in person or even by phone, so he did it by IM. But then he wanted to be "friends" ... which basically meant him following me around like a little puppy, IM'ing me whenever I was logged in (which was a lot - CS major here), "accidentally" running into me on my way to class and trying to hug me, etc. I needed my space to heal and move on - he wouldn't leave me alone. Finally I had had enough and told him to just LEAVE ME THE F*** ALONE!! After that, he went to the opposite extreme - like he wouldn't get on an elevator if I was in it. I'm so much better off without him!
