Chapters Good News

Congratulations to Gamma Epsilon for getting (AGAIN) the top Greek grades on campus!!!!!

They got a 3.34 for Spring 2004. Panhellenic Average was a 3.32 and All Women's Average was a 3.26. And all the sororities beat out the fraternities in grades.

:D :D :D :D

GammaGirl1219 09-24-2004 02:57 PM

Yeah for EA!!!

Gamma Omega chapter has 10 new members, the most of any sorority on campus. I've met all the new girls and they are fabulous and I'm so proud to call them my sisters - and so proud of my chapter!

Yay to all our chapters who are doing great things. :)

SmartBlondeGPhB 09-27-2004 10:23 PM

Yeah to both chapters. Gamma Epsilon has so far gotten 9 women in COR (formal is in Jan) and that is wonderful for them!

OMG Kath! That is so awesome! Doesn't that nearly double the chapter? I'm so happy for you, and that makes me want to come visit. :D

It indeed does - I'm so happy for them too, I got to meet all the new girls at Pref and they are amazing and wonderful and MY CHAPTER RULES. :D

(and you totally should come visit)

gphiangel624 09-29-2004 12:33 AM

Well, this isn't really collegiate chapter good news and I guess it isn't all that exciting, but I'm going to join the Pasadena Alumnae chapter as well as the Inland Empire Alumnae chapter, of which I'm all ready a member. :D I met a bunch of the ladies from the Pasadena chapter and they're amazing (mostly USC grads, a wide range of ages and backgrounds), and I'm really excited because I miss "sorority life" and I need more female friends!

And to top it off, I'm going to be helping out with UCR's recruitment this weekend AND introducing my mom to her first recruitment experience since she initiated! :D :D :D

GeekyPenguin 10-08-2004 05:14 PM

I'm going back to see my girls for Homecoming this weekend, and it appears that we are currently leading the sororities in Homecoming - hurray!

GeekyPenguin 10-10-2004 11:04 PM

Gamma Omega WON Homecoming, which has been dominated by SigEp since they came onto campus - I'm so happy for them!

kk_bama 10-11-2004 01:16 AM

Epsilon Lambda is paired with Lambda Sigma Phi, a local Christian fraternity (great guys) and SigEp for Homecoming!

We are soooooo excited! :D :D :D

good news

we also have the top grades on campus, of all fraternities, sororities, and of the average woman at our university.

we had a powderpuff football tournament that we won this weekend for the 2nd year in a row (last year was the first year it was held)

snaps for us!

kk_bama 10-27-2004 10:13 PM

We ended up winning third place in the Homecoming parade! Everyone had a lot of fun during the week.

I'll post up a picture of our lawn decoration when I get the chance!

Zeta Epsilon-Duquesne University

Hi sisters!
I just wanted to brag a bit about the reason that I haven't been here in a million years! I am the advisor for the awsome Gamma Phi's at DU and they went from #6 in GPA to #2 which puts them at 3.35 ahead of all womens and all sorority! Also for recruitment that made quota which was 13. They are doing so well and at a time when it is becoming difficult to be greek on campus.
Love in IIKE

Zeta Sigma's First Year

Hi Ladies... I first off want to introduce myself.. I'm Chaunte'.. a charter sister of the Zeta Sigma Chapter at the University of South Carolina.. I'm so excited to be a part of your sisterhood now.. I'm loving it and couldn't be any happier....

Just wanted to share some progress of the Zeta Sigma chapter with everyone:
- The Charter class initiated 90 girls back in March =)
- The Chapter was also installed onthe same day by International President Linda Johnson
- The Ladies of Zeta Sigma had their first informal recruitment in Januaray, recruting 21 girls who were initiated this past weekend!
- April 15- first philanthropy supporting CampFire USA- 1st Annual Flamingo Bingo- raising over $500 =)

Love in IIKE,

Delta Lambda at UCR won Greek Week last night! And they won sorority sports week football for the second year in a row!

BetteDavisEyes 05-04-2005 04:15 PM

The Gamma Eta chapter at Cal State Long Beach won Greek Sing along w/Phi Kappa Tau.
Congratulations to them!

GeekyPenguin 05-12-2005 01:50 PM

Gamma Omega is moving back into an official house next year, on the Greek row! They have an unofficial house right now - we moved out of our old house which was just off of the row due to landlord issues.

Our new house used to be rented by a fraternity who trashed it, and the landlord has spent the last year remodelin g it for our chapter. I am so excited to see the inside when I am back at Homecoming! :D

SmartBlondeGPhB 05-12-2005 05:04 PM

Very cool for them!:D

Looks great! Your chapter seems to be doing awesome! :D

When will your new house be done?

GPhiBZS 07-10-2005 05:19 PM

Good Question!! =) We actaully just recieved a invitation in view the house plans a week from today! =) We were told the anticipated date would be Fall 2006. We are in the process of raising the money needed.. but we are all excited that it won't be taking a long time to get it up!

Agreed, your website is wonderful!

aggiegphi 07-13-2005 03:57 AM

I tried to see if International would post this next to our chapter information, but figured I could do it here as well and keep with the idea of Chaunte. Zeta Rho chapter at Texas A&M finally has a website! I'm still working on it a bit and I have fixed some of the harder to read pages, just not uploaded them yet, but here it is:

http://gammaphibeta.tamu.edu

SmartBlondeGPhB 07-13-2005 04:00 PM

IH will post links for chapter websites on the International website. I believe it's not automatic though. We've had ours for so long that I'm having trouble remembering but I think it goes through a review process to be sure that you are in compliance with the guidelines and then it will be posted. Send the link to IH and see what they tell you about the process. Also, there is an Internet Technology Team and the members (with contact info)are listed in the Volunteer Directory that is in the members only section. The leader of that group will be able to tell you the process. Her name is Tammie Benyk and she is very helpful.

GPhiBZS 07-13-2005 07:47 PM

The Texas A&M site looks awesome!!!

aggiegphi 07-21-2005 03:42 AM

Thank you! I have to say I love the South Carolina one as well...in fact I like all of the chapter websites I have looked at, which is pretty much all of them when I was setting up our chapter website list for ours.

tinydancer 08-02-2005 12:32 PM

The A&M website is great! Good job!
(I'm from Alpha Xi chapter)

Our alumnae chapter had our first summer BBQ and it was a great success! We had 11 alumnae plus spouses and children.

And even better, we had a LOT of people who said that they would have liked to come but were already busy.......

Congrats! I love your chapter and am sad I only got to help with recruitment this year - if I'd known how much fun you were, I would have done it all three!

SWTXBelle 02-22-2008 11:53 AM

I'm always happy to hear about legacies who pledge - and it's great that your chapter is doing so well, GphiBgirl!

3.59? Those grades are G-Phantastic! Ok, a little corny of me, but a 3.59 average really is amazing! Congrats.

Zeta Lambda @ Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won the Homecoming Spirit Competition for the 2nd year, won Islander Revue (song/dance comeptition), homecoming queen, sophomore court and a few other things!
