How far do you live away from your significant other?

Just curious. Dotn say across town or something like that. I mean in miles, or kilometers for our international members, lol.

Jadey28 08-27-2004 07:31 AM

We currently live one mile away from each other. However, in the past we've been about 15 miles away from each other. Starting September 5th, we will be living together in our new house! :D

winneythepooh7 08-27-2004 08:11 AM

Well I don't know off-hand how many miles but with no traffic it takes about 35-40 minutes to get to his house.

AXOjen 08-27-2004 08:43 AM

Since we're married we live in the same home... but we used to live 500 miles apart. That was awful. :(

This is soo much better! :)

ZTAngel 08-27-2004 08:43 AM

We live exactly 464 miles away from each other. He's in North Atlanta (Cobb County) and I'm in East Orlando. :( It takes about 6.5 hours driving time. It's not too bad of a drive so we see each other every 2 weeks or so. Eventually, I will probably move up there. I just need to find one of those job things first. :)

AWJDZ 08-27-2004 09:22 AM

225 miles...about 3 1/2 hours. I am in Wilson, NC and he is in Pawley's Island, SC

Its tough, but doable :(

Kevin 08-27-2004 09:56 AM

In the same abode.

lovelyivy84 08-27-2004 10:05 AM

2000 miles

KSigkid 08-27-2004 10:55 AM

I live with her

BirthaBlue4 08-27-2004 10:56 AM

13 hours  :( :( :( :(

ISUKappa 08-27-2004 10:59 AM

0.0 give or take a few tenths depending on what rooms we're in in our house.

When we first started dating we lived about 100 miles apart and I made the near two-hour trip at least once, sometimes twice a week. (It was easier for me to visit him as I was still in school and had a more flexible schedule. Not to mention I was still living in the house so we had to find alternative arrangements when he came to visit.)

kddani 08-27-2004 11:21 AM

15 minutes. Once he gets his house built though, it'll be about 50 minutes

Gina1201 08-27-2004 11:32 AM

15 minutes or about 12 miles

Rio_Kohitsuji 08-27-2004 12:35 PM

Miles wise not sure....but it takes about 45 minutes to get to eachothers homes.

PlymouthDZ 08-27-2004 12:56 PM

I'm 505.9 miles (or 7-8 hours driving time) away.

I'm in New Hampshire and He's in Maryland. As of June, we'll be approximately 15-20 minutes apart (I'm moving to Maryland).

It stinks.. but its better than when he was in school in Blacksburg, VA... he was 800 miles and about 13 hours away. :(

IowaStatePhiPsi 08-27-2004 01:13 PM

Since I dont have an SO would I consider this to be an infinite distance?

valkyrie 08-27-2004 01:29 PM

We live together now but when we started dating, we were 22 miles apart (I just mapquested it).

Jill1228 08-27-2004 10:14 PM

When we first met to August 1998 we were 3000 miles apart
From August 1998-September2002 we were 100 miles apart (we saw each other on the weekends)

Yes, I spent the first 9 months of my marriage living apart from my husband and seeing him only on weekends until he got his US Visa :(

erniegurl00 08-28-2004 02:10 AM

Right now we're almost 4 hours apart.

PM_Mama00 08-28-2004 10:15 AM

10 minutes driving time, so prolly like 5 miles?

Buttonz 08-28-2004 03:06 PM

A block and a half away :)

AXOVolley 08-28-2004 03:11 PM

About 250 miles:(

PennyCarter 08-28-2004 06:18 PM

Now we live about 100 miles apart, but before that it was about 8 hours and before that it was about 4 hours. I can't wait til its NO hours!!!!

GMUBunny 08-31-2004 09:36 PM

Depends. If I have to stay with the rents at night so I can take my grandma to the doctor, it's about 20 miles or so. Every other night it's anywhere from 10 feet to not apart at all. I like this set-up much, much better :)

That's not the point. The point is that even if anyone does, usually they have enough tact to not mention it on a public message board. Just my opinion though...:)

Well sorry, sister dear, for not having enough tact.

Shima-Mizu 09-02-2004 02:56 AM

Just a little under 100 miles away.

Takes 1 1/2 hours to drive in no traffic... 2 1/2 hours in traffic.

1savvydiva 09-02-2004 03:10 AM

So long distance relationships are not the rarity anymore, huh?

Hmm...

DWAlphaGam 09-02-2004 03:25 PM

About 90 miles, or 2 hours. He is attempting to get transferred to Philly so he will be closer to me. Hopefully that will happen soon.

rainbowbrightCS 09-02-2004 03:47 PM

1839.79 miles (I live near Atlanta, GA and he lives in Phoenix, AZ)

but Im going to PHX in Oct, and late spring/early summer he will be moving to Western GA!!! I cant wait.

emleepc 09-02-2004 05:02 PM

about 130 miles away---or 2 hours 15minutes....however, I have made it in less time....

roqueemae 09-12-2004 12:52 AM

He is in the Army so he is about to be in Iraq. When he did basic training I started a "My boyfriend is far far away club" in my chapter. All of the long-distance relationships girls and I would hang out together since we were in the same boat. Maybe I should start a "my husband is far far away club"...
