Outkast To Perform; Mase, Shaq, Amy Lee, Others To Present At VMAs!
The list of presenters for the MTV Video Music Awards just got longer — 7 feet and 1 inch longer, to be exact. Shaquille O'Neal joins Brandy, Nick Lachey, Shakira, Evanescence's Amy Lee, Mase, Beastie Boys, John Mellencamp, Omarion and Queen Latifah in the latest crop of celebrities confirmed to take the stage as presenters. Also Outkast will perform at the annual event, taking place August 29th at Miami's American Airlines Arena. Already announced performers include: Usher, Kanye West, Yellowcard, Lil Jon, Jet, Petey Pablo, Hoobastank, Jessica Simpson, Ying Yang Twins and Terror Squad featuring Fat Joe. The presenters handing out the moon man include: Jennifer Lopez, Hilary Duff, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jimmy Fallon, Will Smith, P. Diddy, Paris Hilton, Lenny Kravitz, Tony Hawk, Ludacris, Ashlee Simpson, LL Cool J and Jon Stewart

Yeah…like they couldn’t afford this stuff on their own. The 2004 MTV Video Music Awards are less than a week away, but the big news today has to do with what’s in the gift bags that the presenters, performers and winners will all take home. Dang! Celebrities always get stuff that they can afford to buy for free. That really burns me up...ok I'm going to stop hating now...

Anyhoo, I am really excited about the MTV awards. Something good happens every year. Last year I was losing my mind when they announced Guns-N-Roses as the closing act. Sorry but Welcome to the Jungle was my jam. With Dave Chappelle hosting, this almost promises to be interesting.:cool:

Why did Usher just put Chili on blast on the VMA's? Was it just me or was it kind of obvious he was talking about her?

Thank God!!! Alicia Keys won the Best R&B Award.. I think that entire category was pitiful. I just don't consider Usher and Beyonce R&B... Brandy I'm not sure..

That remix has been running on the radio for a minute. He even performed it at his concert.

My best friend and I were saying the same thing! She had all of her cheeks hanging out and everything. I just can't stand her!! :mad: She is always complaining about the mediocre roles that she is offered and stuff. Well, guess what? Girl, we are on the same page. If "vote or die" really were the case, about 75% of the American population will be wiped out by the time the polls close on November 2. That "vote or die" mess is taking it too far.

I don't watch the MTV Awards, but I did turn and see Puffy and Bruce Willis, and what was up with Puff's hair. That mohawk thing is not what's up. I also saw Will Smith reppin with the Phillies Jersey. This was all during the time that Fat Joe was on stage doing his "Lean Back" song. Please someone anyone...please post some pics so I can see what "B" looked like.

Oh, and I turned for another quick second, and I saw Dave Chappelle....ummm why does he look like he is on crack? I mean he is my boy and all, but damn...he he he.

I mean Beyonce looked bad, Usher looked pretentious, Chaka Khan sounded bad, but NONE of them were the extended torture that was the Nelly/Christina performance.

I only know this because I was shopping over the weekend and saw some of the line. It was just weird to me that Dior and Rasta would somehow go together.

WOW, I really didn't know that was Vivica. I know I felt sorry for whoever it was, but dang, that's really awful. I'm really sad for her. I will have to watch that part over when it re-airs, armed with this newfound knowledge.

Okay, since no one else had said this yet or has yet to notice, why did Beyonce have on the same outfit that she wore to an awards show not too far back. If I am not mistaken she preformed in the outfit. That was the first thing that I notice on her, then the hair and then her un-lady like manner. Did she think we would not notice? At one point they put the camera on her section and her a Jay-Z were missing and my friend stated that they were probably out getting a quickie in those short shorts she was sporting. If that was not the same outfit, then she had on very similar outfit to that one.

My roommate noticed the same thing about Marc Anthony walking over and standing right in front of Diddy. They plaaaayed him.

I wish Beyonce and Jay-Z would stopping speaking in code. Everyone knows they're together. Just stop.

Beyonce's father was not dressed for the occasion. He looked like he was about to roll to a cookout.

We were waiting all night long for Dave Chappelle to do something "funny." So disappointing. :(

Did anyone notice how Omarion sang the songs of all the nominees except for Jessica Simpson? She is so tired.

I noticed it too. The outfit she had on was VERY similar to the jacket dress she wore to the VMAs last year and even MORE similar to the outfit that she performed in on the same night. She needs to give up gold, lace, and rhinestones as a combination for a while...and that HUGE hair. Looks like an animal just sat on top of her head...
